Product Details

You can find a Jel Pad inside the pack. This can be used to fix the adapter on your car.

• Remove the release liner on any one side of the jel pad.
• Place the jel pad on your car,where it is close to the USB port of your car.
• Remove the release liner at the other side of the jel pad.
• Place your adapter on the jel pad.

How does it work

Factory default CarPlay Mode, CarPlay Mode for Apple phones only, Android Auto Mode for Android phones only;

Note

1. Long press the adapter switch button 6-8S to switch modes, after the switch is completed, the adapter will restart, the indicator light will change from constant to flashing and wait 8 seconds before connecting the adapter to Bluetooth.
2. CarPlay Mode normal start 6 seconds after the Green light 1 second 1 flash, that the adapter is in CarPlay Mode. Androidauto Mode normal start 6 seconds after the Blue light 1 second 1 flash, that the adapter is in Andriod auto Mode.
3. Before using Android Auto, please use the cell phone with Android Auto to connect to the original car wired Android Auto function, make or receive calls to confirm that the cell phone and car Bluetooth are connected, hands-free calls can be made; if the wired Android Auto cannot be used normally, please reset the cell phone Android Auto.

CarPlay Connection Method:

1. Plug this product into the original car USB port, wait for the car machine UI interface to display, once the UI interface appears, please connect the Bluetooth name on the interface with your phone, and implement the product’s functions with the prompts and guidance on the iphone.
2. Plug the product into the original car USB port, wait for the original car Apple Carplay icon to turn green, or select the original car prompt “Use Apple Carplay”, or the original car Apple Carplay icon has already been displayed on the car machine interface, but the product UI interface has not yet appeared. At this time, please connect the Bluetooth name of the box with your phone, and implement the product’s functions with the prompts and guidance on the phone.

Android auto Connection Method:

• Select the corresponding wiring according to the original car data interface, first insert the data cable USB-C into the adapter USB-C port, then insert the other end into the original car data interface and fix it with black double-sided tape to avoid poor contact caused by jittering during driving; then wait for the car interface change or operation prompt.
• Turn on Bluetooth and WIFI on your phone, search and connect to the “XF-CA002-XXXX” Bluetooth of the Adapter according to the car interface prompt, and complete the connection operation according to the prompt on your phone.
• If you need to turn off the wireless function, you need to disconnect the adapter’s Bluetooth and WiFi on your phone or unplug the adapter.

CarPlay Mode Frequently Asked Questions and Notes:

1. This product is suitable for most models with the original car with the line CarPlay function; before connecting, please ensure that the phone’s Bluetooth and WiFi are not connected to other devices, if there is a connection, please disconnect the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connected to other devices on the cell phone; if the connection is not, please ignore the Bluetooth name of this product and keep the Bluetooth off for 5 seconds, and then reconnect the Bluetooth;
2. Before changing the cell phone connection, please turn off the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi of the cell phone that has been connected to the device before;；
3. If you are in the process of connection, the cell phone side of the “accessories are not supported”, please plug and unplug the adapter, and reconnect;
4. If “Allow CarPlay” pops up in the process of connection, and you choose “Later”, the connection will not be successful, you need to select “CarPlay Car” in “General”→” CarPlay” in the cell phone. “You need to select “Device Name” → “CarPlay Car” on the mobile phone;
5. If there is any problem with the connection, please restart the car or restore the factory settings of the car;
6. Due to too many times or too long connection, or cell phone Bluetooth failure, causing the device can not be automatically connected, such as the car interface has been showing the device UI (UI display more than 2 minutes) without jumping to the wireless CarPlay, please follow the way to solve the following operations:
7. Ignore the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi of the adapter on the cell phone side and re-pair it;
8. Unplug the adapter again;

  * If the above operation still fails to connect normally, please restart the phone or in the phone settings “General → Transfer or restore iPhone → Restore→ Restore network settings or restore all settings”, the device is completed and re-enter the connection pairing operation；

7. The device Wi-Fi does not need to enter the password, the alternate password is 8888888888;
8. After CarPlay is successfully connected, the Bluetooth of the cell phone will be disconnected from our device, at this time, if the cell phone Bluetooth is connected to other audio devices, the sound will not be output from the original car speakers;
9. There may be a delay in playing sound from the speaker during use, or there is a delay in square control, which is a normal phenomenon, because of wireless connection, there is a delay in the output time of audio data from the speaker;
10. If you use the wireless CarPlay function to make a call, the other party cannot hear or is not clear or there is an echo, please open the hands-free phone;
11. If you are using wireless CarPlay, the vehicle is not turned off, and you get off the car with your cell phone briefly in the middle of the process
12. If you are less than 5 meters away from the device, when the other party calls in, you need to turn on the hands-free function to answer the phone, otherwise you can’t hear the other party’s voice;
13. If you are 5–10 meters away from the device, the wireless CarPlay will be disconnected; (3) If you get in the car again, the wireless CarPlay may not be connected automatically, if it cannot be connected automatically, please unplug the box；

The network data generated by this function (including network content such as audio and video data, map data, call data, etc.) source has nothing to do with this product, the device does not participate in the APP application interaction inside CarPlay, please contact CarPlay official if there is any problem with APP interaction.

18. Connect to wireless CarPlay, please enter 192.168.43.1 in the browser that comes with iPhone, log in and check and download the new version；

Android Auto Notes and FAQ:

1. This product is suitable for most models with original car with wired Android Auto function and phone brands and models with Android 11 or above. If you have questions about Android Auto compatible models and phones, you can find them on the https://www.android.com/auto/ Auto support page;
2. Before connecting, please make sure that the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi of the cell phone are not connected to other devices, if they are, please disconnect the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connected to other devices on the cell phone side; and prohibit the use of VPN services;
3. Before changing the phone connection, please disconnect the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi that have been connected to the adapter phone or open the airplane mode;
4. If the wireless Android Auto is connected, the Android Auto screen will not pop up automatically, you need to manually click the Android Auto icon on the car screen at this time.
5. For German models, such as Volkswagen and SKODA, Bluetooth pairing is successful, and “USB is recognized” will appear on the top of the car interface, but the wireless Android Auto function will not pop out automatically “Icon.
   • Attention: For vehicles with MirrorLink such as Volkswagen, Peugeot, Citroën, etc., do not click on the MirrorLink function during the connection process. Only click on the Android Auto application during the connection process.
6. If you have inserted the adapter and successfully connected to the Bluetooth of the adapter, but the Android Auto continue interface has not yet appeared on the car or cell phone, please try the following operations to troubleshoot; if the connection still fails, it proves that this device does not support your Android Auto.
7. Please check if your phone Android Auto needs to be updated through Google Play app store, make sure the Android Auto app on your phone is updated to the latest version in Google Play Store;
8. 14. After the wireless Android Auto is successfully connected, the Bluetooth of Android phone will be disconnected from our adapter, no need to enter WiFi password on the device, the initial backup password is 888888888.
15. When the car restarts, the wireless Android Auto function may not be automatically enabled. You can re-establish the connection by re-pairing Bluetooth or unplugging the adapter.
16. The contents generated by wireless Android Auto function (including font, music, audio, map, lyrics, touch, call, etc.) are not related to this adapter;
17. Due to differences in region, phone model, phone brand and ambient temperature, Wireless Android Auto may cause the phone to consume too much power or get significantly hot, resulting in disconnection or a degraded experience.
