DO Install the Battery
To install the TSR-302-BTP, perform the following procedure:
- Remove the battery compartment cover on the rear of the TSR-302 by using two thumbs and gently pressing in the direction of the arrow shown.
- Place the touchscreen remote, with the screen side down, on a clean, soft surface.
- Place the TSR-302-BTP in the battery compartment, oriented as shown.
- Reattach the battery compartment cover by pressing down lightly on the locking tab while sliding the cover into place.
DO Configure the Device
The main setup screen is the starting point for configuring the Crestron® TSR-302. If no project is loaded, tap the screen to access the main setup screen. If a project is running, the main setup screen can be accessed by pressing (Power) (Home), MENU, and GUIDE in sequence twice ( MENU, GUIDE MENU, GUIDE) within a 5-second period.
The main setup screen can also be accessed via Crestron Toolbox™ software.
- Establish communication with the TSR-302.
- Right-click on the device and select Functions > Setup Mode.
- Select Enter Setup Mode to display the main setup screen.
NOTE: Select Exit Setup Mode to exit the screens.

DO Set Up Basic Wireless
Before a TSR-302 can be used with a Crestron control system, it must first be acquired by a Crestron Extended Range (ER) Wireless Gateway (sold separately).
To acquire a TSR-302, perform the following procedure:
- Use a stylus or other thin-tipped object to press ACQUIRE on the gateway to enter Acquire mode. The accompanying LED illuminates, indicating the unit is ready to link with the touch screen. (The gateway can also be put into Acquire mode via Crestron Toolbox.)
- From the main setup screen on the TSR-302, tap RF Setup to display the RF Setup screen. At the bottom of the RF Setup screen, select 2-Series or 3-Series, depending on whether a 2-Series or 3-Series® control system is being used. Then place the TSR-302 in Acquire mode by tapping Acquire on the RF Setup screen. The screen displays an “Acquire in progress” message, and the TSR-302 is automatically acquired by the gateway within 2 minutes.
DO Check the Box
- When the process is complete, the screen displays an “Acquire OK” message. Press ACQUIRE on the gateway to exit Acquire mode. The LED turns off.

DO Set Up Wi-Fi
To set up a Wi-Fi® connection, on the main setup screen tap WiFi Setup, and
then tap Add Access Point to display the Select Access Point screen.
If the desired wireless access point is already on the list, tap Connect
Otherwise, perform the following procedure to add a new access point:
- Tap Add New to display the Confirm Info screen.
- Tap the WAP Name (SSID) field to open an on-screen keyboard, which can be used to enter the name.
- Tap the Security field to display the Encryption screen.
- Select the appropriate type of encryption, and then tap to return to the Confirm Info screen.
- Tap the Password field to open an on-screen keyboard, which can be used to enter the password.
- Tap Save to save the password and return to the Confirm Info screen.
- Tap Make this my Access Point to confirm the entries and display the WAP Connect screen.
- Tap Done to accept the connection to the wireless access point and to display the WiFi Setup screen.
- Tap IP Settings to display the WiFi IP Settings screen.
- To use DHCP , tap repeatedly to return to the main setup screen.
- To enter static IP settings, tap Off under DHCP Enabled. The TSR-302 ships with DHCP enabled by default.
- Tap Set Static IP Address Settings to display the Static IPs screen
- Tap the Static IP address field to open an on-screen, numeric keypad.
- Enter the address and tap Save to return to the Static IPs screen.
- Tap each of the rest of the fields in turn and enter its address, and then tap Save.
- Tap to return to the WiFi IP Settings screen.
- Tap Reboot Required to Apply IP Changes
