Product Usage Instructions

Connect the antenna to the TV
The antenna can be connected to the TV in two ways:

Connected to TV through Digital Converter Box:
Connect the following components:

• HDTV Antenna
• Digital Converter Box
• Amplifier (optional)

To connect:

1. Connect the HDTV Antenna to the Digital Converter Box using the included coaxial cable.
2. Connect the Digital Converter Box to the TV using HDMI or RCA cables.
3. If using an amplifier, connect it to the Digital Converter Box using the included USB cable and plug it into a USB port on the back of the TV or a 5V power adapter.

Connected directly to HDTV with digital tuner inbuilt:
Connect the following components:

• HDTV Antenna
• HDTV with digital tuner inbuilt
• Amplifier (optional)

To connect:

1. Connect the HDTV Antenna to the HDTV’s ANT/IN or CABLE IN port using the included coaxial cable.
2. If using an amplifier, connect it to the HDTV using the included USB cable and plug it into a USB port on the back of the TV or a 5V power adapter.

Install the antenna
Follow these steps to install the antenna:

1. 1. Find a convenient location to install the antenna.

2. Scan TV channels according to your TV’s manual to operate.

Note : After scanning the channels, please test your antenna position before finally installing it. In some cases, you may decide to relocate the antenna for better reception.

Antenna placement options and tips:

• Installed on the wall, two screws spacing: 1.18in
• Do not install the antenna on metal walls or grids such as iron sheets, anti-theft nets, etc., so as not to affect the receiving effect.
• When moving the antenna, always rescan the channels.
• If some channels are missing, try moving the antenna and scanning the channel again.
• Try rotating the antenna 10 or 20 degrees in either direction to avoid reflections, and then rescan the channel if the image or sound freezes or appears mosaic.

Scan the TV for Channels
Follow these steps to scan for channels on your TV:

1. In the TV’s setup menu, set the mode to Antenna or Air. Refer to the TV manual for detailed instructions.
2. While in the TV’s setup menu, set TV to scan for channels. This can sometimes be listed as auto-program, channel search, or channel scan. Consult your TV manual for detailed instructions.

FAQ

If some channels are missing, what should I do?
If some channels are missing, try the following:

1. Move the antenna and scan the channel again.
2. Rotate the antenna 10 or 20 degrees in either direction to avoid reflections, and then rescan the channel.

How should I dispose of the appliance?
Under no circumstances should you dispose of the appliance in the normal domestic waste. Dispose of the appliance via an approved disposal company or your municipal waste facility. Please observe the currently applicable regulations. Please contact your waste disposal center if you are in any doubt.

Install the antenna
Find a convenient location to install the antenna and use.
Follow the steps in the TV manual “Scan TV channels” to operate.

Antenna Placement Options and Tips
TV reception and quality depends on the distance from the transmitting tower to your home. Surrounding environments may also affect signal strength and reception.
If your reception is sporadic or needs to be improved, try the helpful tips below:

1. Placing the antenna in a higher location may result in better reception.
2. Facing the antenna towards the broadcast tower may result in better reception.
3. Keep the antenna as close to the window as possible. If it is convenient, installing it on an outdoor wall will bring better reception.
4. Do not install the antenna on metal walls or grids such as iron sheets, anti-theft nets, etc., so as not to affect the receiving effect.

Important: When moving the antenna, always rescan the channels.

Correct use of amplifier switch
Short range:For 25-35 miles away from the signal tower. Long range:For over 35 miles away from the signal tower.

1. If you are about 25-35 miles away from the signal tower, we recommend to switch to the “Short Range”position.
2. If you are far away (＞35 miles)from the signal tower,we recommend to switch to the “Long Range” position.
3. If you are not sure the distance to the tower, you can scan the channel in two positions and then select better one.
4. Please rescan channel after EVERY change the switch.

Troubleshooting

The antenna did not receive any signal.

1. Check to make sure that the antenna is properly connected to the TV or third-party receiver. Please refer to “Installation Guide” under “Connecting the Antenna on the Back of the TV” in this manual.
2. Rescan the channel. Please refer to the setup guide under “Scanning Channels on TV” in this manual.
3. Relocate the antenna to another location, such as above the wall, near a window or on an outdoor wall. It is best to install it on an outdoor wall, usually towards the broadcasting tower. The signal strength will vary according to specific conditions, such as mountains, hills, towers, buildings and even tall trees will affect the reception.

If some channels are missing.

1. Some channel signals may be blocked. Please move the antenna and scan the channel again.
2. Try to rotate the antenna 10 or 20 degrees in either direction to avoid reflections, and then rescan the channel.

When I watch the channel, the image or sound freezes, or the image is mosaic.

1. This is usually caused by weak or intermittent signals. Please try to move the antenna to another location or point it in the direction of the broadcast tower of the channel.

Disposal of the appliance
