A: The factory car radio comes with wired CarPlay.
Q: How to check if the car has carplay?
- Method 1. Look for the carplay icon on Car stereo, if there is, it means it has this function
- Method 2. Use a USB data cable to connect the iPhone to the car stereo. If the iPhone shows a pop-up box about “use CarPlay”, it means that your car has a wired carplay function. Please try each USB port on the car stereo.
- Method 3. Consult your car dealer .
Q: What kind of function can be achieved with this adapter?
A: This CarlinKit Wireless CarPlay adapter can convert wired to wireless
CarPlayfunction, supports online upgrade and retain the original car
function(button, knobs, mic etc.) It is suitable for plug-and-play in the
original vehicle. This product is not 100% compatible with all models, only
98% compatible.
Q: How to connect to use this product?
- Insert the product into the USB port of the car.
- Turn on the iPhone’s WiFi and Bluetooth, and search for the product’s Bluetooth signal on the iPhone’s Bluetooth: VOLKSW-XXXXX(Password: 12345678).
- Click the product’s Bluetooth name on the iPhone, and then the pairing information will pop up on the iPhone, click “Use Carplay”.
- After waiting for pairing, you can use the wireless CarPlay function.
Q: How to check the version?
- Insert the firmware into the car USB.
- Connect the mobile phone to the WIFI of the product.
- Open your phone browser and enter 192.168.50.2 to view your version information.
Q: How do I upgrade it?
- The box is inserted into the car and the connection interface is displayed.
- The mobile phone turns on the WIFI search signal: the signal at the beginning of VOLKSW-XXXXX(Password: 12345678).
- Then open the browser that comes with the Apple phone and enter the URL: 192.168.50.2.
- Will jump out of the box background page, click on the bottom: check for updates.

If there is a new version, the font in the upper left corner will display:

( Note: If the adapter running normally my suggestion is best not to
upgrade it. The new version does not always perfectly work.)

A: Try to use a USB flash drive for blind upgrade, and send an email to

- Put the upgrade file into the USB flash drive.
- Insert the USB stick into the USB port of our product, not the car original USB port.
- Then connect the product with the charging head to upgrade, re-pairing the connection after successful.
( Note: During the online upgrade, if the phone has indicated that the upgrades were successful, and the box has not been restarted, please do not unplug and plug the box. Check whether the indicator light of the box is flashing alternately. Flashing alternately indicates that the update is in progress. Please wait for the box to automatically restart and connect.)
