Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Ubiquiti Networks® airMAX® Titanium Sector. This Quick Start Guide is designed to guide you through the installation of the antenna. This Quick Start Guide also includes the warranty terms and is for use with the airMAX Sector Antenna, model AM-M-V5G-Ti.

TERMS OF USE: Ubiquiti radio devices must be professionally installed. Shielded Ethernet cable and earth grounding must be used as conditions of product warranty.
TOUGHCable is designed for outdoor installations. It is the customer’s responsibility to follow local country regulations, including operation within legal frequency channels, output power, and Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) requirements.

Installation Requirements

Rocket™M5, RocketM5 GPS, or RocketM5 Titanium (sold separately)
3 mm hex key driver
12 mm and 13 mm wrenches
Shielded Category 5 (or above) cabling should be used for all wired Ethernet connections and should be grounded through the AC ground of the PoE.

Hardware Overview

Hardware Installation

Set the desired beamwidth by adjusting the Beamwidth Deflectors. Use a 3 mm hex key driver to loosen the four hex head screws enough to move the Beamwidth Deflectors, but do not remove the screws.
Carefully move the Beamwidth Deflectors to the desired angle, as indicated by the screw slots.
Important: Both deflectors must be set to the same angle.
Tighten the four hex head screws.
Attach the U-Brackets to the antenna:
Secure the slotted U-Bracket to the upper Mounting Lugs of the antenna using two Serrated Flange Nuts.
Secure the other U-Bracket to the lower Mounting Lugs of the antenna using two Serrated Flange Nuts.
Note: Orient both U-Brackets as shown below.
Attach the RF Cables to the connectors labeled Chain 0 and Chain 1 on the Rocket.
Attach the Rocket to the Rocket Mount.
Align the mounting tabs on the back of the Rocket with the four mounting slots on the bracket.
Slide the Rocket down until it locks into place. $UBIQUITI-NETWORKS-AM-M-V5G-Ti-Base-Station-Antenna-with-Variable-Beamwidth-01 $7$$
Connect the other ends of the RF Cables to the RF Connectors on the antenna.
Slide the Protective Shroud down over the Rocket until it locks onto the Rocket Mount.
Note: If you have trouble locking the shroud into place, try adjusting the placement of the RF Cables.
Insert two Carriage Bolts into each Pole Bracket. $UBIQUITI-NETWORKS-AM-M-V5G-Ti-Base-Station-Antenna-with-Variable-Beamwidth-01 $10$$
Attach each Pole Bracket to each U-Bracket using two Serrated Flange Bolts. Hand-tighten only.
To mount the antenna to the pole, slide a Pole Clamp over each pair of Carriage Bolts. Secure each Pole Clamp with two Serrated Flange Nuts.
Note: The mounting assembly can accommodate a 38 – 76 mm (1.5″ – 3.0″) pole. $UBIQUITI-NETWORKS-AM-M-V5G-Ti-Base-Station-Antenna-with-Variable- Beamwidth-01 $12$$
The antenna has an electrical downlit of 3°. To further adjust the elevation angle:
Loosen the four Serrated Flange Bolts on the U-Brackets and the two Serrated Flange Nuts on the upper Pole Clamp.
Slide the antenna to the desired tilt. (The brackets may slide along the pole, depending on the angle of the elevation tilt.)
Tighten all bolts and nuts to approximately 25 N-m (18 lb-ft) or less to avoid deforming the pole.

Electrical Safety Information

Compliance is required with respect to voltage, frequency, and current requirements indicated on the manufacturer’s label. Connection to a different power source than those specified may result in improper operation, damage to the equipment or pose a fire hazard if the limitations are not followed.
There are no operator serviceable parts inside this equipment. Service should be provided only by a qualified service technician.

Limited Warranty

UBIQUITI NETWORKS, Inc (“UBIQUITI NETWORKS”) warrants that the product(s) furnished hereunder (the “Product(s)”) shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment by UBIQUITI NETWORKS under normal use and operation. UBIQUITI NETWORKS’ sole and exclusive obligation and liability under the foregoing warranty shall be for UBIQUITI NETWORKS, at its discretion, to repair or replace any Product that fails to conform to the above warranty during the above warranty period. The expense of removal and reinstallation of any Product is not included in this warranty. The warranty period of any repaired or replaced Product shall not extend beyond its original term.

Warranty Conditions
The above warranty does not apply if the Product:

has been modified and/or altered, or an addition made thereto, except by Ubiquiti Networks, or Ubiquiti Networks’ authorized representatives, or as approved by Ubiquiti Networks in writing;
has been painted, rebranded or physically modified in any way;
has been damaged due to errors or defects in cabling;
has been subjected to misuse, abuse, negligence, abnormal physical, electromagnetic or electrical stress, including lightning strikes, or accident;
has been damaged or impaired as a result of using third party firmware;
has no original Ubiquiti MAC label, or is missing any other original Ubiquiti label(s); or
has not been received by Ubiquiti within 30 days of issuance of the RMA.

In addition, the above warranty shall apply only if: the product has been properly installed and used at all times in accordance, and in all material respects, with the applicable Product documentation; all Ethernet cabling runs use CAT5 (or above), and for outdoor installations, shielded Ethernet cabling is used, and for indoor installations, indoor cabling requirements are followed.

Returns
No Products will be accepted for replacement or repair without obtaining a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number from UBIQUITI NETWORKS during the warranty period, and the Products being received at UBIQUITI NETWORKS’ facility freight prepaid in accordance with the RMA process of UBIQUITI NETWORKS. Products returned without an RMA number will not be processed and will be returned freight collect or subject to disposal. Information on the RMA process and obtaining an RMA number can be found at: www.ubnt.com/support/warranty .

Compliance

RF Exposure Warning
The antenna and transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance from all persons and must not be located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter. For the specific separation distance, refer to the Quick Start Guide for your Rocket device (transmitter).

European Directive 2002/96/EC requires that the equipment bearing this symbol on the product and/or its packaging must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste. The symbol indicates that this product should be disposed of separately from regular household waste streams.
