WARNING

  • Nominal battery voltage, Lithium Metal (CRXXXX series) 3.0 V or Silver Oxide (SRXXXXX Series) 1.5 V.
  • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
  • Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above (Lithium Metal (CRXXXX series) 158°F (70 ºC) or Silver Oxide (SRXXXXX Series) 140°F (60°C) or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns.
  • Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands, or types of batteries, such as alkaline, carbon zinc, or rechargeable batteries.
  • Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of batteries from equipment not used for an extended period according to local regulations.
  • Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep them away from children.

Please read the instructions carefully to understand how to operate your Timex® watch. Your model may not have all of the features described in this booklet.

FUNCTIONS

Real-time calendar clock, Chronograph with Split, Countdown Timer, World Time log, Two Daily Alarms, and INDIGLO® night-light.

BASIC OPERATION

When setting, each button has a different function as indicated above. Watch face will indicate when the button changes function.

TIME/DATE/WORLD TIME CITY

To set time, date, and world time city

  1. From Time of Day mode, press and hold SET. The World Time City Code can be seen flashing.

  2. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.
    Note: Please refer to the World Time Table for available City Codes based on your GMT difference.

  3. Press MODE to select DST (Daylight Saving Time) for that City Code. Press ADJ to select/deselect DST. The “DST” symbol will light at the bottom of the display to confirm daylight saving time is “on”.
    Note: This option will only be offered for cities that observe DST. Please refer to the World Time Table for those cities.

  4. Press MODE to set Seconds. Press ADJ or INDIGLO to set Seconds to zero adding one minute if seconds are “30” or greater.

  5. Press MODE to set Hours, as indicated by its flashing. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.

  6. Press MODE to set Minutes, as indicated by its flashing. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.

  7. Press MODE to set the Year, as indicated by its flashing 2 digits. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.

  8. Press MODE to set the Month number, as indicated by its flashing. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.

  9. Press MODE to set the Date, as indicated by its flashing. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.
    Note: The Day of the Week is set automatically using the Year, Month, and Date.

  10. Press MODE to set the Time Format, as indicated by its flashing (12HR or 24HR). Press ADJ or INDIGLO to toggle the setting.

  11. Press SET to exit Time Set.
    Note: 12-hour time has no indicator in the morning and a “PM” indicator after Noon.

WORLD TIME TABLE

CHRONOGRAPH
Use this function for timing events.

  1. Press MODE until “SP” appears.
  2. Press ADJ to start timing.
  3. With the stopwatch running, press SET to record a Split time. The stopwatch will continue timing in the background.
  4. Press SET to release the display and show the current running stopwatch time.
  5. Press SET to record another Split time.
  6. Press ADJ to pause the timing.
  7. Either press ADJ to resume timing, or press SET to reset the stopwatch to zero.

Note: If the stopwatch was paused when the display was showing a Split time, the first press of SET will show the final recorded time, and the second press will reset the stopwatch to zero.

COUNTDOWN TIMER

Use this function for timing events or tasks that have a defined duration.

  1. Press MODE until “TMR” appears.
  2. To Set the Timer, press and hold SET. The Hour digit flashes.
  3. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.
  4. Press MODE to set the Minutes as indicated by its flashing. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.
  5. Press MODE to set the Seconds as indicated by its flashing. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.
  6. Press SET to exit the Countdown Timer Set.
  7. To Use the Timer, press ADJ to start timing.
  8. With the timer running, press ADJ to pause the timer.
  9. With the timer paused, press ADJ to restart it or press SET to reset the timer to its originally set duration.
  10. When the alert sounds, press ANY button to silence it, or it will stop beeping in about 10 seconds.
  11. If no button is pressed, the timer will start counting UP and continue running for up to 24 hours. Press ADJ to pause the timer, and press SET to reset the timer to its originally set duration.

Note: When there are 30 seconds left, a single beep will sound. With 10 seconds left, the watch will beep every second as it counts down.

WORLD TIME
View the local time in any of the other 35 time zones tracked by the watch.

Note: Refer to the World Time Table below for available City Codes based on your GMT difference.

  1. Press MODE until City Code appears. The local time will be displayed on the Top line and the corresponding world time will appear large on the Middle line.
  2. Press ADJ to advance through the list of World Time zones. Press and hold to increment quickly.
  3. To keep the local times accurate, you must have DST (Daylight Saving Time) correctly activated/deactivated. Press and hold SET to toggle the DST setting for each city code.

WORLD TIME TABLE

ALARM 1
To set the first of 2 Daily alarms, to turn on/off Alarm 1, or to turn on/off the hourly chime.

To Set the Alarm

  1. Press MODE until “AL1” (Alarm 1) appears.
    Note: The current Time appears in the Top line of the display, and the Alarm set time will be presented in the same format (12HR or 24HR) as the Time mode.

  2. Press and hold SET. The Hour digit flashes and the Alarm lights.

  3. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.

  4. Press MODE to set the Minutes as indicated by its flashing. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.

  5. Press SET to exit Alarm 1 Set.

  6. When the Alarm sounds, press any button to turn off the alert, or it will continue for 20 seconds.

To Turn the Alarm 1 On/Off or to turn the Hourly Chime On/Off

  1. Press MODE until “AL1” (Alarm 1) appears.
    Note: The current Time appears in the Top line of the display.

  2. Press ADJ repeatedly to turn:

    • the Alarm ( ) On,
    • the Hourly Chime ( ) On
    • the Alarm ( ) Off, or
    • the Hourly Chime ( ) Off
  3. Press MODE to exit Alarm 1 mode.

ALARM 2
To set the second of 2 Daily alarms, or to turn on/off Alarm 2.

  1. Press MODE until “AL2” (Alarm 2) appears.
    Note: The current Time appears in the Top line of the display, and the Alarm set time will be presented in the same format (12HR or 24HR) as the Time mode.

  2. Press and hold SET. The Hour digit flashes and the Alarm ( ) lights.

  3. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.

  4. Press MODE to set the Minutes as indicated by its flashing. Press ADJ to advance the setting or press INDIGLO to reverse the setting. Press and hold to increment quickly.

  5. Press SET to exit Alarm 2 Set.

  6. When the Alarm sounds, press any button to turn off the alert, or it will continue for 20 seconds.
    Note: The Alarm set time will be presented in the same format (12HR or 24HR) as the Time mode.

To Turn the Alarm 2 On/Off

  1. Press MODE until “AL2” ( ) appears.
    Note: The current Time appears in the Top line of the display.

  2. Press ADJ repeatedly to turn:

    • the Alarm ( ) On, or
    • the Alarm ( ) Off

INDIGLO® NIGHT-LIGHT
Press the INDIGLO® button to illuminate the watch display for 2 – 3 seconds. Electroluminescent technology used in the INDIGLO® night-light illuminates the entire watch face at night and in low light conditions. Any button pressed while the INDIGLO® night- light is on keeps it on.

WATER AND SHOCK RESISTANCE
If your watch is water-resistant, meter marking or ( ) is indicated

  • pounds per square inch absolute

WARNING: TO MAINTAIN WATER RESISTANCE, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS UNDER WATER.

  1. The watch is water-resistant only as long as the lens, push buttons and case remain intact.
  2. The watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving.
  3. Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
  4. Shock resistance will be indicated on the watch face or case back. Watches are designed to pass the ISO test for shock resistance. However, care should be taken to avoid damaging the crystal/lens.

BATTERY
Timex strongly recommends that a retailer or jeweler replace the battery. If applicable, push the reset button when replacing the battery. Battery type is indicated on caseback. Battery life estimates are based on certain assumptions regarding usage; battery life may vary depending on actual usage. DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERY IN FIRE. DO NOT RECHARGE. KEEP LOOSE BATTERIES AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
