Product Usage Instructions
Before First Use
- Remove all packaging, stickers, and accessories from both the inside and outside of the kettle.
- Fill the kettle with clean water to its maximum capacity and boil.
- Discard the water and repeat the process.
- The kettle should always be unplugged when filling or adding water.
Operating Instructions
- Fill the kettle with water to the desired level, making sure not to overfill to avoid spillage or overflow.
- Use the water level indicator to measure the correct amount of water.
- You can fill the kettle either through the spout or through the lid opening.
- Ensure that the lid is securely closed. The kettle has an automatic safety shut-off feature to protect against overheating. If there is insufficient water in the kettle, it will shut off.
- Do not fill the kettle with less than the minimum capacity indicated on the MIN indicator line to prevent it from operating dry.
- Do not fill with less than 0.8 liters of water, as indicated by the PSUPMAX indicator line.
- If the kettle automatically shuts off, switch it off, disconnect it from the power outlet, and allow it to cool down for 5 to 10 minutes. Then refill and switch it on. The kettle will work as normal on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.

OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Remove all of the various packaging, stickers or accessories from both the inside and outside of the kettle. Fill the kettle with clean water to maximum capacity and boil. Discard the water and repeat the process. The kettle should always be unplugged when filling or adding water. Fill the kettle with water to desired level. CLEANING YOUR KETTLE
Unplug it.
Let it cool down and clean it with a damp sponge.
- Never immerse the kettle, its base, the cord or the electric plug in water: the electrical connections or the switch must not come into contact with water.
- Do not use scouring pads.
DE-SCALING
De-scale regularly, preferably at least once a month or more frequently if
your water is very hard.
To de-scale your kettle using white vinegar:
- fill the kettle with 1/2 L of vinegar
- leave standing for 1 hour without heating
To de-scale your kettle using citric acid:
boil 1/2 L of water
add 25g of citric acid and leave standing for 15 min.
using a de-scaler specifically for plastic kettles: follow the manufacturer’s
instructions. Empty your kettle and rinse 5 or 6 times. Repeat if necessary.
TROUBLESHOOTING
In the unlikely event that you experience a problem with your device, please
take a couple of minutes to check these possible causes prior to contacting
customer support.
IF THERE IS NO EVIDENT DAMAGE TO YOUR KETTLE
- The kettle does not work or stops before coming to the boil: Check that your kettle is properly connected.
- The kettle has been switched on without water or an accumulation of scale has caused the automatic shut-off to activate
- Allow the kettle to cool and fill it with water. Descale first if scale has accumulated. Switch it on: the kettle should start working again after about 15 minutes.
- The water tastes like plastic:
Generally, this happens when the kettle is new. Discard the water from the first few boilings. If the problem persists, fill the kettle to maximum and add two teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda. Bring to the boil and de-scale the water. Rinse out the kettle.
IF YOUR KETTLE HAS BEEN DROPPED, IF IT LEAKS OR IF THERE IS VISIBLE DAMAGE TO THE POWER CORD, THE PLUG OR THE BASE OF THE KETTLE
- Do not attempt to dismantle the kettle in any way.
- Return your kettle to authorized service center, only they are authorized to make repairs.
- See the guarantee conditions and list of centers in the booklet supplied with your kettle. The type and serial number are shown on the bottom of your kettle. This guarantee covers manufacturing defects. Any breakage or damage resulting from failure to comply with the instructions for use voids the guarantee.
- Gourmia reserves the right to modify the characteristics or components of its kettles at any time in the interests of the consumer.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or authorized service center.
WARRANTY & SERVICE
This Limited Warranty is for one full year from the date of purchase. It
applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable to a third
party user. Repair or replacement of defective parts is solely at the seller’s
discretion. In the event that repair isn’t possible, the seller will replace
the product/part. If product repair/replacement won’t suffice, the seller has
the option of refunding the cash value of the product or component returned.
Product defects not covered under the Warranty provisions include normal wear
and damage incurred from use or accidental negligence, misuse of instruction
specifications or repair by unauthorized parties. The manufacturing company is
not liable for any incidental or consequential damages incurred by such
circumstances.
