OVERVIEW

NOTE: Your new radio controlled atomic clock will automatically receive and set itself to the split second exact time broadcast by radio from the US National Time Observatory near Denver, Colorado. The time signal is broadcast at intervals, and as radio reception is better at night, it may take overnight for your clock to receive the signal.

  • If the clock it too near to an interfering device, such as a TV set or computer, or if it is in a shielded or difficult reception area, it can make it harder to get the radio time signal.
  • Your radio controlled atomic clock is equipped with a large, pliable suction cup for mounting on glass, tile, or any smooth surface. Turn the suction cup mount to unscrew it from the clock. You can moisten it for better adhesion. Locate it as desired in your bathroom. Press to stick, set the clock as in the instructions and screw the body of the clock back on. As you tighten, it draws the suction cup for better adhesion.

IMPORTANT: In the US, it is necessary to set the time zone (Pacific, Mountain, Central or Eastern). To set the time zone, press the MODE key to enter the alarm time mode. Then consecutive pressing of the SET key while observing the indicator on the map icon of the US in the upper right corner of the LCD display will let you set it for your proper zone.

  • The clock automatically adjusts itself for daylight saving time (DST) when it goes into effect. If you live in one of the few areas that do not observe DST, you will have to manually reset the clock.
