  • Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries, such as alkaline, carbon zinc, or rechargeable batteries.

BASIC OPERATIONS

OPERATIONS

Press to cycle through ALARM, TIMER, CHRONO, and TIME ZONE modes. Press to illuminate watch face (INDIGLO® night-light). Press to view date. When setting functions, press and hold to advance digits rapidly.

ANALOG TIME

TIME

Pull crown and turn to set HOUR and MINUTE hands.

DIGITAL TIME

A. With digital time displayed, press and hold . SECONDS will flash. Press to set SECONDS to 0. Press to select HOURS digits. Press to advance. Go through 12 hours for AM or PM. Press to select TENS OF MINUTES, MINUTES, YEAR, MONTH, DATE, DAY, 12 or 24 TIME DISPLAY. Press to advance selected item. Press when done.
B. In either time zone display, press to view date, press and hold to switch primary display from time to date.

TIME ZONES

Press until T2 (Time Zone 2) is displayed. Press and hold to set time. Press to select HOURS digits. Press to select MONTH, to advance. Continue for DATE, DAY OF WEEK, 12 OR 24 HOUR TIME display. Press when done.

ALARM AND CHIME

A. Press until ALARM is displayed. Press then to select TIME ZONE 1 or 2. Press repeatedly to select HOURS, TENS OF MINUTES, MINUTES, TIME ZONE 1 OR 2. Press to advance or change. Press when done. Repeat for second time zone.
B. Press to turn alarm on or off. Alarm symbol will appear when on. C. Press again to turn hourly chime on or off. Chime symbol will appear when on.
D. Press any button to silence alarm.

COUNTDOWN TIMER

A. In TIMER (TR) mode, press repeatedly to select HOURS digits, TENS OF MINUTES, and MINUTES. Press to advance. Press to start timing, to pause, to resume or to reset. Press and hold to set new timer.
B. TIMER will continue to run when digital time is displayed. “T” appears in display.

CHRONOGRAPH

A. In CHRONO mode, press to switch between LAP and SPLIT display. Press to start CHRONO, press again to view lap/split time (display pauses). Press to view running time. Display changes automatically after 10 seconds. Press to stop timing, to resume.
B. Press and hold to time new lap or split.
C. CHRONO will continue to run when digital time is displayed. “C” appears in display.

CHRONOGRAPH

ELAPSED TIME RING

Turn bezel counterclockwise to position symbol () at desired time to start or end activity.

COMPASS DIRECTIONAL RING

To get approximate compass reading, point hour hand at sun. Adjust ring so S (South) is halfway between hour hand and 12. Adjust every hour. Make sure hour hand is always pointed toward sun.

INDIGLO® NIGHT-LIGHT

Press to illuminate watch face. Electroluminescent technology used in the INDIGLO® nightlight illuminates entire watch face at night and in low light conditions. Press and hold for three seconds (beep will sound) to activate or de-activate NIGHT-MODE®. While in NIGHTMODE®, press any button to illuminate watch face for 3 seconds.

WATER & SHOCK RESISTANCE

If your watch is water-resistant, meter marking or ( ) is indicated.

WARNING: TO MAINTAIN WATER-RESISTANCE, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS OR PULL OUT THE CROWN UNDER WATER UNLESS YOUR WATCH IS INDICATED AS 200 METER WATER- RESISTANT.

  1. Watch is water-resistant only as long as crystal, crown and case remain intact.
  2. Watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving.
  3. Rinse watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
  4. Shock-resistance will be indicated on the watch face or case back. Watches are designed to pass ISO test for shock-resistance. However, care should be taken to avoid damaging crystal.

BRACELET ADJUSTMENT

SLIDING CLASP BRACELET
Open locking plate. Move clasp to desired bracelet length. Exert pressure while holding locking plate and slide clasp back and forth until it engages in grooves on underside of bracelet. Press locking plate down until it snaps closed. Clasp can be damaged if excessive force is used.

BATTERY

Timex strongly recommends that a retailer or jeweler replace battery. If applicable, push reset button when replacing battery. Battery type is indicated on case back. Battery life estimates are based on certain assumptions regarding usage; battery life may vary depending on actual usage.
DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERY IN FIRE. DO NOT RECHARGE. KEEP LOOSE BATTERIES AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
