Target Group
The instructions in this manual are intended for persons who will use the
device.
Intended Use
The heater is designed for use in motor caravans, caravans, and other vehicles
with habitation compartments only when the gas system is installed in
accordance with EN 1949. The device is not suitable for installation in
construction machines, agricultural machines, utility vehicles, marine craft,
houses and apartments, hunting and forestry cabins, weekend homes, awning
tents, or similar equipment. The device may only be used to heat drinking
water and to heat the interior of the vehicle. Never use it to warm other
liquids.

Safety instructions
Please observe the prescribed safety instructions and stipulations from the
vehicle manufacturer and service workshops. Note the following basic safety
information when using electrical devices to protect against:

- Fire hazards
- Injury
WARNING!
- Installation and repair of the device must only be carried out by qualified personnel who are familiar with the risks involved and the relevant and national regulations. Inadequate repairs may cause serious hazards. For repair service, please contact the manufacturer‘s support (see back page).
- Maintenance, repair, and cleaning must not be carried out by children.
- This device can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device safely and understanding the hazards involved.
- In the event of a fire only use approved extinguishing agents. Do not use water to extinguish fires.
- If there is a leak on your device (smell of gas):
- Avoid ignition sources. Immediately extinguish all naked flames, and do not operate electrical switches or devices such as radios or mobile phones. Do not start the vehicle engine. Do not smoke.
- Open windows and doors.
- Evacuate all persons from the vehicle.
- Close the gas cylinders from the outside.
- Have the entire gas system checked and, if necessary, repaired by qualified personnel.
- Only then put the gas system back into operation.
- Switch off the device when the vehicle or any other appliance is being refueled. Also observe the safety instructions in Fig. 1 , page 3, and Fig. 2 , page 3.
CAUTION!
- Only operate the device if you are certain that the housing and the cables are not damaged.
- Defective devices must not be used.
- Do not use the device near flammable fluids.
- Do not use the device without warm air ducts mounted.
- If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his service agent, or similar qualified personnel.
NOTICE!
- Only use the device as intended.
- Do not make any alterations or conversions to the device.
- The device itself cannot ensure that the complete vehicle will remain frost-free. This depends on the setup of the vehicle‘s water system and the ambient temperature. Drain the water heater using the safety and drain valve when the temperature inside the vehicle threatens to fall below 0 °C.
- TwinBoost6000H, TwinBoost8000H only: Check that the power supply fuse on the campsite is sufficient for the set power:
- For 900 W: 4 A
- For 1800 W: 8 A
- The danger of overheating for the AC connection cable TwinBoost6000H, TwinBoost8000H only: If you are using a cable reel for the power supply, unwind it completely.
The target group for this operation manual
The instructions in this manual are intended for persons who will use the
device.
Intended use
- The heater is designed for use in motor caravans, caravans, and other vehicles with habitation compartments only, when the gas system is installed in accordance with EN 1949.
- The device is not suitable for installation in construction machines, agricultural machines, utility vehicles, marine craft, houses and apartments, hunting and forestry cabins, weekend homes, awning tents, or similar equipment.
- The device may only be used to heat drinking water and to heat the interior of the vehicle. Never use it to warm other liquids.
- Only use the device with the original warm air ducts and side cowl from the manufacturer installed. Never use other warm air ducts or cowls.
- The device may only be operated while driving if facilities are installed to prevent uncontrolled leakage of liquid gas in the event of an accident\ (according to UN-ECE regulation 122).
- Devices not installed according to the manufacturer‘s installation requirements are not allowed to be used.
- If the device is installed in vehicles for commercial use, the national legal and insurance requirements need to be considered by the operator.
- The device is not intended for use in altitudes above 2000 m.
- This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application of these instructions.
- This manual provides information that is necessary for the proper installation and/or operation of the product. Poor installation and/or improper operation or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and possible failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product resulting from:
- Incorrect installation, assembly, or connection, including excess volt-age
- Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than the original spare parts provided by the manufacturer
- Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
- Use for purposes other than those described in this manual

At interior temperatures around 0 °C, the safety and drain valve opens
automatically, thus draining the water from the water heater and preventing
the water heater from being damaged by freezing water.
4| Air inlets
Setting the device
- Adjust brightness of the control panel display: See Fig. 4 , page 3.
- Set max. fan speed in silent mode : See Fig. 5 , page 3.
- Set min. fan speed in ventilation mode : See Fig. 6 , page 3.
- Set temperature unit: See Fig. 7 , page 4.
NOTE
Silent mode might have an impact on the maximum available heat output and
function of the water heating.
Setting and using the timers
- Set and activate the coming home timer for the air heater: see Fig. 8 and Fig.11 , page 4.
- Set and activate the sleeping timer for the air heater: see Fig. 9 and Fig. 11 , page 4.
- Set and activate the coming home timer for the water heater: see Fig.10 and Fig.11 , page 4.
- Change active timer: see Fig.12 b, page 4.
- Deactivate timer: see Fig.13 page 4.
Using favorites
You can save frequently used settings as favorites so they can easily be
selected again later. Up to 6 favorites are possible (A … F).
- Save the current settings as a favorite: see Fig. 14 , page 4
- Select a favorite: see Fig.15 page 4.
Flushing the water heater
- Proceed according to Fig.16 , page 4.
Filling the water heater
If the interior temperature is below 0 °C, heat the interior with the device
first. Otherwise, the safety and drain valve will open and drain the water
heater.
- Proceed according to Fig. 17 page 4.
Emptying the water heater
- If the temperature inside the vehicle is below 0 °C: ensure that the safety and drain valves have been released, see fig. h, page 5.
- If the vehicle is not used during the frost period, the water heater must be emptied.
- Proceed according to Fig.18 , page 5.
Start after a long period of non-use
- Check the cowl and remove the cover and any dirt (e.g. leaves, cob-webs, etc.).
- Flush the water heater according to Fig. 19 , page 4.
After a long period of non-use, smoke or odors may develop for a few minutes due to dust or dirt. In this case, ensure that the interior is well-ventilated and perform self-cleaning: see chapter “Self-cleaning” on page 7.
Cleaning and maintenance
- Clean the device according to Fig. 20 , page 5.
- Never use detergents containing chlorine for cleaning and disinfec-tion.
- Perform self-cleaning once a week: see chapter “Self-cleaning” on page 7.
- If side cowl is positioned below a window: Check window switch operation as a pre trip or seasonal check.
- Check regularly, especially after long journeys, that the cowl and the exhaust duct are intact and correctly fixed.
- Operate the safety and drain valve regularly, at least twice a year, to remove limescale deposits and ensure proper function.
- Have the device, its gas supply, the exhaust duct, and the cowl checked by an expert in accordance with national regulations (e.g. in Germany every 2 years). If no national regulations exist that should be done at least every 2 years. The inspection must be certified on a test certificate (e.g. DVGW Work Sheet G 607 for vehicles in Germany).
Self-cleaning
To clean the system against bacteria operate the device for a few minutes at
the highest temperature level for self-cleaning:
- Set room temperature to max. value.
- Choose auto mode for air heating.
- Choose a hot mode for water heating.
Replacing fuses
WARNING!
Before servicing or changing the fuses, switch off the device, shut the gas
supply and disconnect DC (12 V) supply.
TwinBoost6000H, TwinBoost8000H only: Disconnect the AC (230 V) supply.
- Replace broken DC fuses according to Fig 21 , page 5. Only use fuses with the same value.
Troubleshooting
Routine in case of a gas leak (smell of gas)
Avoid ignition sources. Immediately extinguish all naked flames. Do not
operate electrical switches or devices such as radio or mobile phone. Do not
start the vehicle engine. Do not smoke.
- Open all windows and doors.
- Evacuate all persons from the vehicle.
- If possible, close the gas cylinders from the outside.
- Have the entire gas system checked and, if necessary, repaired by qualified personnel.
- Only then put the gas system back into operation.
Error code table
The display shows up to 4 error codes and warnings.
- Scroll through the error codes: see Fig.22 , page 5.
- Reset error codes: see Fig. 23 , page 5.
- Reset warnings: see Fig. 24 , page 5. Alternatively, you can switch off the system by pressing the button for 3 seconds.

002 | 1. Check battery voltage and compare them to under-voltage setting. |
2. Charge battery.
3. Connect the vehicle to AC power.
4. If none above solves the issue contact the manufacturer‘s support (see
back page of this manual).
003| 1. Check battery voltage and ensure it is less than 16.5 V.
If battery voltage is higher than 16.5 V either a wrong battery is connected
or battery is broken.
2. Replace battery with battery that supplies DC power according to technical
data (see data plate).
3. In case vehicle is connected to AC power check if battery is charging.
4. If battery is charging check charging voltage (must be lower than 16.5 V
to assure proper function whilst charging).

423| 1. Assure that water heater is switched off.
2. Wait 15 – 30 minutes until device has cooled down.
3. Check if water heater is filled with water.
4. Refill with water if water was missing.
5. Restart water heater.
6. If device does not operate properly contact the manufacturer‘s support
(see back page of this manual).
424| 1. Check if the window above the cowl is opened (if available).
2. If window was opened close window and restart device.
3. If window was closed execute the default routine (see back page of this
manual).
431| 1. Wait 2 minutes.
2. Reset warning.
3. Check power supply.
434| Self shutdown. Service warning has been ignored too long.

Disposal
Recycling packaging material
Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins
wherever possible.
Recycling products with batteries, rechargeable batteries, and light sources
- Remove any batteries, rechargeable batteries, and light sources before recycling the product.
- Return defective or used batteries to your retailer or dispose of them at collection points.
- Do not dispose of any batteries, rechargeable batteries, and light sources with general household waste.
- If you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling center or specialist dealer for details about how to do this in accordance with the applicable disposal regula-tions.
- The product can be disposed free of charge.
Warranty
The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please contact your retailer or the manufacturer’s branch in your country (see dometic.com/dealer). For repair and warranty processing, please include the following docu-ments when you send in the product:
- A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
- A reason for the claim or description of the fault
Note that self-repair or non-professional repair can have safety conse-quences and might void the warranty.
