NEWPORT STATION
QUICK INSTALLATION GUIDE

GETTING STARTED
Step 1. Start Device Driver Installation (In the next section please refer to
the installation steps that correspond to your PC system’s OS.)
• Please install the driver completely before following the steps below.
Step 2 Plug the Power Adapter into Port 1
Step 3. Connect the USB 2.0 Cable Micro-B connector to Port 2 and the Type-A connector to the host laptop.
Step 4. Connect the VGA Cable of the Display device to Port 4.
Step 5. Connect the Ethernet Cable to Port 7.
Step 6. Connect the Audio Cables (audio out, audio in)to Ports 8 & 9
Step 7. Lay your laptop on the top of the j5 Newport Station.
Step 8. Push the “j5” Power button
Step 9. Downstream USB 2.0 HUB Ports 3, 4, and 5 are now ready for use.
Step 1. DEVICE DRIVER INSTALLATION
Installation on Windows

Insert the Driver CD into the drive; the setup program should launch automatically.
• Make sure that the Newport Station is NOT connected to your host computer.
*Driver download is available at
www.j5create.com in “support > download” area. -
Executing the Setup.exe application will launch the following screen. Click “Next” to continue.

When the installation is complete, select “Yes, I want to restart my computer now” and click “Finish” to restart.
Installation on MAC (Snow Leopard)

Insert the Driver CD into the CD-ROM drive and run the “LAN9500-2.2.0.pkg” file to draw drivers.
• Make sure that the Newport Station is NOT connected to your host computer.

Click “Continue” and “Agree” to proceed

Type your password then click “OK”.
It will take few minutes to process. -
When installation has completed, click “Close”.

Run the “NEWPORTSTATION. dmg” drivers.
Click “j5create-NEWPORT-STATION-V.XXXXX” -
Click “Continue” to proceed

Type your password then click “OK”.
It will take few minutes to process. -
Click “Restart” to complete

laptop cool.

DISPLAY FUNCTION INSTRUCTIONS:
Display Resolution
Select the resolution you want to be displayed on the device.
Display Orientation
Turn the connected display device.

Display Setting on Windows 7
Right click on the desktop and go to “Screen Resolution”
Display Setting on Windows Vista/XP
Right click on the ( ) icon in the lower right-hand side of the toolbar.
Display Setting on MAC (Snow Leopard).
Go to ( ) and then “System Preferences”.
Choose the “Display” or “Arrangement” tab to adjust.
