Operation
This Portable MIL2.0 HF Antenna is a multi-band system that allows the use of
an external antenna tuner if it is installed over poor ground or not placed in
a clear area. Signals will launch away from the 25’ element and in the
direction of the 8’ grounded counterpoise wire.
WARNING – Never loosen any of the Bolts, Screws, Nuts, or Caps on the
Alpha Match.
Assembly
- Prepare your mounting hardware by deploying either an optional Tripod, Jaw Mount, or Mast mount.
- Install the match on your mounting hardware.
- Attach the 8’ grounded counterpoise on the bolt near the base of the match.
- Install the vertical element and wire 25’ NVIS element on the top of the match.
- Attach your feed-line to the SO-239 on the match and connect the other end to your tuner/equipment.
