Important Safety Information

  5. Do not lubricate the Micrometer’s moving parts.
  6. Do not exceed the capacity of Micrometer.
  7. Do not disassemble Micrometer.
  8. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles during use.
  9. Keep work area clean and well lit.
  10. Do not operate when tired or when under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
  11. Use as intended only.
  12. Inspect before every use; do not use if parts are loose or damaged.
  13. Maintain product labels and nameplates.

Operating Instructions

Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this document including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.

Note: Instructions apply to Small, Medium and Large Micrometers.

  1. Clean measuring faces.

  2. Turn Ratchet Stop clockwise until ratcheting stops and clicks.

  3. Verify “0” on Thimble is lined up with “0” on Sleeve.

  4. To adjust (if needed), lock Spindle with Locking Device.
    Note : Sleeve has a pin hole for Spanner to adjust.

  5. Adjust Sleeve with Spanner until “0” on Thimble is lined up with “0” on Sleeve.

  6. Example: To read 0.3141″, see “Figure A”.
