Activation Instructions

Step One: Enroll in PSYC 6223 Online MindTap Classroom

1. Paste the following link into a new tab: https://login.nelsonbrain.com/course/MTPQXW7PKZF9
2. Create an account
3. Keep this tab open for Step Seven

Step Two: Locate your Bookshelf Access Code

Option 1: Go to your email and copy the code from the subject line “Ebook Code(s) for YKxxxxx”.

Option 2: Click the link on your order status page and copy the License Key.

Step Three: Login or create an account on Bookshelf

1. Paste the following link into a new tab: http://online.vitalsource.com/
2. If you have used Bookshelf before, login. Otherwise, create an account.

Step Four: Redeem Code

Click “Redeem Codes”. Note that this step must be done in a web browser and cannot be done in the mobile application.

Step Five: Reveal Publisher Access Code

Follow the prompts to reveal the secondary access code.

Step Six: Copy the Publisher Access Code

Copy the revealed access code. Do not click “Visit Website”.Note that you will only use the Bookshelf website for the initial activation. In the future, access your Group Counselling content exclusively from the Cengage website.

Step Seven: Activate Revealed Code on the Publisher Website

1. Return to the tab opened in Step One.
2. Select “Enter Access Code” and paste the code revealed in Step Six.

You have successfully activated Group Counselling MindTap!

Extra Activation Tips

If you performed the steps out of order, you may be asked for a Course Key. The Course Key is MTPQXW7PKZF9.

How to Use your Group Counselling MindTap

To Access the E-text:

1. Click the image of the textbook with Paul Graham listed as the instructor.
2. A toolbar will appear on the right side of the screen.
3. The 4th icon from the top is the Full Book. Click on it to view your E-text.

To Access the Videos:

1. Click the image of the textbook with Paul Graham listed as the instructor.
2. On the left half of the screen, you will find a list of chapters.
3. Click the downwards arrow across from Chapter 1.
4. Click the downwards arrow beside “How do I practice what I’ve learned?”.
5. You will find the video activity corresponding to that chapter.

Alternatively, you can:

1. Click the image of the textbook with Paul Graham listed as the instructor.
2. Under Group Counseling, click “Expand All”.
3. The videos are contained within the lessons under the “How do I practice what I’ve learned?” tab.

Tip: If you are having trouble identifying videos and quizzes, press CTRL + F and type in “Video”.

Alternatively, you can click “Expand All” under Group Counseling and find the videos within the lessons under the “How do I practice what I’ve learned?” tab.
