WARNING:
- Adult supervision required
- Splash Net® Air is not a personal flotation or life saving device
- Never place body parts in the net as they may get tangled and serious bodily injury or drowning can occur
- Never jump, dive or climb onto Splash Net® Air
- Never play with the Tie Down Ropes, always exercise care so as not to become entangled in the ropes.
Setup
Splash Net® Air is 9.5 ft. wide and designed to float in the pool so you can bring exciting volleyball action to any pool day!
To setup, inflate Splash Net Air until the net is completely straight (see inflation instructions below).
To keep the net from moving around the pool, use the included Tie Down Rope. Tie one end onto each of the side grommets of the net and tie the other ends to a secure object on the pool deck.
If the net begins to sag after continued use, simply add more air until the net is straight again.
3 WAYS TO FILL!
ELECTRIC PUMP
Secure pump hose to inflate valve and turn on.
HAIR DRYER (COOL AIR)
Hold hair dryer to valve and turn on.
MOUTH
One way valve allows for air to enter but not escape.
INFLATION
To inflate, pull out the first stopper so that it exposes the 1-way inflation valve, but the main stopper will still be in place. Connect your pump or use your mouth to inflate. The design only lets air go into the raft and not out.

DEFLATION
To deflate, simply pull out the second larger stopper on the Rapid Valve® System which quickly releases the air in the raft. Most pumps also have a reverse feature which can help get all of the air out of the raft so it can be pack away in small spaces.

Pool Volleyball Rules
Splash Net ® Air includes one standard size water volleyball and one large inflatable volleyball so you can choose between competitive games and casual play to accommodate all skill levels.
The rules of pool volleyball are similar to the rules of traditional volleyball. The rules can also be adjusted for more recreational play. Teams are typically made up of 2, 4, or 6 players on each side. Depending on the swimming experience of each player and the depth of the pool, players can also play while using a floatation device for more comfortable and fun gameplay.
Splash Net® Air Water Volleyball Gameplay
- Decide how many points each set will be played to (11, 15, or 25 points) and which team will begin with the service of the ball.
- Each set ends when the first team scores the decided amount.
- Best out of three sets wins (first team to win 2 sets).
Boundaries
The size of the “court” will depend on the size of the pool. We recommend using imaginary boundaries that follow the width of the net. The net can also be rotated sideways in the shallow end of the pool if needed.
Serving
- Use an overhand, sidearm or underhand serve. The ball must go over the net in bounds to the other team.
- Serving is normally 8 feet from behind the net, but can vary depending on available pool space.
- After serving, the ball can only be hit 3 times before it has to cross the net to the opposing side. Consecutive hits by the same player are not allowed.
- The team that is awarded the point after a rally will then serve.
Scoring
Points are scored after a rally. Every serve will result in a score regardless of which team is serving. After points are awarded, a new serve begins the next rally.
A single point is scored when the following occurs during the game:
- When a player from the opposing team hits or crosses the net while the ball is in play
- When the ball is in possession of the opposing team and it touches the water
- The ball is not returned over the net
- The opposing team fails to return service
- The ball is hit out of bounds
- A player of the opposing team double-hits the ball
- The ball is hit at the same time by two players on the same team
- A player makes an illegal ball hit such as pushing, carrying, or catching the ball
The winning team must have a 2 point lead to end the set. If there is only 1 point separating the overall score of both teams, the teams must set an agreed upon total. Then the teams will play a set until one team has a 2-point advantage.
