Duclsaty Caged Ceiling Fan with Light and Remote Control Installation Guide

Installation Guide

  1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn off the electricity to the fan at the main fuse box or circuit panel before installation.
  2. All wiring must be in accordance with the local electrical codes or National Electrical Code. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.
  3. To avoid personal injury, a pair of gloves is necessary while handling fan parts with sharp edges.
  4. Make sure the installation site you choose allows clear space for the blades to rotate and at least seven 7 feet (2.13 meters) of clearance between the floor and the fan blade tips. The fan should be mounted so that the tips of the blades are at least thirty 18 inches (45.72 centimeters) from walls or other upright structures.
  5. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, mount fan only to an outlet box marked acceptable for fan support and use mounting screws provided with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for the support of lighting fixtures are not acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.
  6. The outlet box and ceiling support structure must be securely mounted and capable of supporting at least 45KGs.
  7. To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.
  8. Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning.
  9. Electrical diagrams are for reference only.
  10. The fan is suitable for indoor and covered outdoor use only.

Lamp shade Installation

  1. Put a towel on the canopy to avoid paint scratch. **(From Pic.1 to Pic.2)

**

  1. Put the fan motor as below and make a steady surface as **Pic.3.

**

  1. Put the Lamp shade on the fan motor surface. Make sure the 4 holes in the motor align4holesinthe Lamp shade as **Pic.4.

**

  1. . Screw down 4 BLACK screws which is unique because all the other screws are not black color. see Pic.5.

Please do not tighten the 1st screw too tight just finish the tightening of the 2nd and the 3rd screw then go back to the 1st screw to finish the tightening, finally the 4th screw otherwise it would be difficult. Screws would be numbered as **Pic.6.

**

Bulb Base Assembly

  1. Find the silver colored extension rod in the screw pack **Pic.6A

,remove one screw and the black cap Pic.6B** ,

put them aside as they will be used in next steps. Then screw the extension rod to the hole shown in Pic.7.
Bulb Base Assembly
Tighten the silver washer as Pic.8.Screw until is it tight.

  1. Get the black plate with two holes as Pic.9. Pull out the wires to make it longer for easy operation **(Pic.9A)

Pass the down rod and the wires through the holes as Pic. 10. Operation as Pic.10A
& Pic.10B.Screw down the other screw as Pic. 10C**.Pay attention the black plate orientation.

  1. Find the bulb base and pull out the wires in it **Pic.11

Then assemble the bulb base to the fan Motor base, connect the wires white to white, blue to blue. Just Insert into each other as Pic.12. Pic.12A** for reference.

  2. Keep the black plate and the bulb base as below circles and find the black round cap and spinet to the position as the green arrow directs in **Pic.13.

**

  1. If you found the round cap cannot be perfectly tightened as Pic.14 , it is because the tail of the Extension rod is too long or too short, thus you have to go back to Pic.8 to adjust the length of the extension rod by rotating the screw up or down.

Down rod installation

  1. Put the ceiling fan upside as Pic.15.

Get the down rod and remove the R-shaped lock pin and hitch pin from Pic.16 to Pic. 17.

There are two different down rod size,4in for lower ceiling and 8inch for higher ceiling. Choose one as you want.

  2. Assemble the canopy **Pic.18

and coupling cover Pic.19

below to the down rod as Pic.20.

Pay attention** the canopy and the cover should be back to back.

  1. Unpack and Collect the wires as Pic.21 all and get passed through the down rod as Pic. 22.

  2. Insert the down rod to the fan motor base. Look at Pic.23 the two holes are not in the same position but the correct action is two holes should be on the same position after completely insert the down rod.

  3. Insert the lock pin. To make this step easier, please take your screw driver and push the screw driver through between the wires in the down rod ( Pic.24 ) and get that lock pin slides through, you just push it on the end **(Pic.25)

and it just glide through (Pic.26 &Pic.27**), otherwise it can be that difficult because there are wires in the down rod which may block the bolt when slide through.

  1. Put the R shaped hitch pin into the lock pin in Pic. 28 and tighten the TWO screws in **Pic.29.

Then pull down the coupling cover Pic.29B.

**

Hang the fan to the Ceiling

  1. CUT OFF the power supply for SAFTY!!!
  2. Fix the mounting bracket

Fig.1 for Concrete Ceiling. Mark the location for the ceiling fan first, then drill two holes in the ceiling to aid in securing mounting bracket with TWO expansion screws provided in Pic.30, and secure the mounting bracket to the building. Please keep the two screws in circles in Pic.31 HALF LOOSE as it is. DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM.

Fig.2 for Wood Ceiling. Mark the location for the ceiling fan first, use the FOUR wood screws in Pic.30, then tighten the four screws to the wood ceiling Pic.31. Please keep the two screws in circles HALF LOOSE as it is. DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM.

  1. Hold the Ceiling fan at the point as Pic.32 and carefully lift to the ceiling and sit the hanger ball to the mounting bracket as Pic.33.

Rotate the down rod until the notch on the hanger ball engaged the ridge on mounting bracket in Pic.34 &Pic.34a

Down rod can not be rotated if the step is done properly otherwise the fan will wobbles when it is working.

Connecting wires

It is a bit tricky yet it would not be issue if you assembled based on the illustration below.
Insert the black remote receiver to the interspace up on the mounting bracket as **Pic.35.

Pic.36 shows how the wires going, connecting white to white, blue to blue, red to red. Just buckle each other in the same color. Leave the antenna as it is, no need to connect with any wire. Connect the black live wire and the white neutral wire to the power cord from the ceiling electric box by giving a couple of twists and tighten the cap in Pie. 40**.

Make sure the interface of the red wire in Pic. 36 do not diverge otherwise there will be insufficient power of the fan when working.

Canopy Mount

Reorganize the wire Pic.37 and lift the canopy as **Pic.38.

Attention there is limit room of the canopy so you have to keep all the wires in order to squeeze the wires into the canopy. Spin the canopy until the two half loose canopy screws are locked in the smaller hole then tighten down the TWO screws as Pic.39.
