Precautions
- Please seek professional help. Installation or servicing of this product by persons without training and experience in electronic equipment and automotive accessories may be dangerous and could expose you to the risk of electric shock, injury, or other hazards.
- This product is only suitable for vehicles with a 12V DC Power system.
- Do not install it on vehicles whose power supply is not 12V DC, or it may damage the product or cause a fire due to overvoltage.
- Do not allow this product to come into contact with liquids. Otherwise, it may result in electrical shock or product damage.
- Please turn off the car and disconnect the positive battery terminal before installation to prevent product damage or fires caused by short circuits.
- All wires should be insulated after installation to prevent product damage or fires caused by short circuits.
- Please do not use the car audio after the engine is turned off for a long time, or it will drain the battery power.
- If this product is exposed to water damage or foreign matter is discovered in the product while you’re driving, please park your vehicle in a safe place, turn off the ignition switch(ACC OFF) immediately, and consult your dealer or Eonon customer service.
- Do not use this product in this condition because doing so may result in a fire, electric shock, or other failure.

Home Screen
Home Screen and Application List
- The home screen is the starting point to access all of the features on your head unit. It displays application shortcuts, icons, widgets, and other features.
- Click to select the style of your home screen.
The application list shows all applications, including icons for newly installed applications.
- Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen, or tap to access the application list. To return to the home screen, swipe down on the application list interface, or tap the home button or return button On the application list interface, swipe left to turn pages
- On the home screen, long-press any app to replace it with another app.
Application List
Long-press an app for two seconds and drag to change its position.
Bluetooth
- Note: This product only supports calls via Bluetooth and Bluetooth music by connecting the Bluetooth on your phone.
- It supports Bluetooth OBD-I| (EONON V0056). Other Bluetooth devices are not supported.
- CAUTION: For your safety, please avoid talking on the phone as much as possible while driving.
- Click to display the Bluetooth menu.
- Click to access the Bluetooth connection menu.
- Note:
- The operation of different mobile phone types may differ. For detailed instructions, please refer to the user manual of your phone.
- It is not guaranteed that all mobile phones with Bluetooth wireless technology can be connected.
- The distance between this product and your phone must be less than 5 meters when using Bluetooth.
- Click to access the dial pad.
Note:
- You may hear noises in the following situations:
- When you press the button on the phone to answer a call.
- When the person on the other end of the line hangs up the phone.
- If the person on the other end of the line cannot hear the conversation due to an echo, please turn down the volume for hands-free calling.
- Click to access the phonebook.
Note:
- Please ensure that sharing the phonebook via Bluetooth is enabled on your phone before synchronizing the phonebook.
- Pictures or special characters will not be displayed.
Click to access call history.
Click to access Bluetooth settings. You can set up the device name, PIN, microphone gain, volume gain, and Bluetooth data service here.
Click to access Bluetooth music.
Note:
- Resume playback is not supported as the music Bluetooth device plays is not from the head unit.
- Please avoid using your phone as much as possible when you’re playing music via Bluetooth.
- Or noises may occur when the music is playing.
- The music may stop playing during a Bluetooth call.
Radio
- Please set the radio correctly according to your area/region:
- Factory — Password: 123456 — Select radio region – Select your region
- Click to turn on the radio.
CarPlay
Wired CarPlay setup steps:
- Tap to turn on the Tlink5 app on the head unit (as shown in picture 1).
- Connect the USB cable of your iPhone to the USB cable labeled “CarPlay” of the head unit.
- Tap Allow on the prompt asking for CarPlay to access your phone while it is locked (as shown in picture 2).
Note: Please be sure to connect the USB cable of your iPhone to the USB cable labeled “CarPlay” of the unit, or Apple CarPlay will not be available.
Wireless CarPlay setup steps:
- Tap to turn on the Tlink5 app on the head unit (as shown in picture 1).
- Turn on the WiFi and Bluetooth of your iPhone.
- Find the Bluetooth of the head unit (Bluetooth name: EONON; password:0000) and connect to it.
- Tap Use CarPlay on the prompt asking for CarPlay to access your phone while it is locked (as shown in picture 2).
Note: Please do not connect to Bluetooth manually after accessing CarPlay. If you want to use Bluetooth, please tap the WiFi icon to disconnect CarPlay first (as shown in picture 3).
iPhone models that support CarPlay:
Android Auto
Wired Android Auto setup steps:
- Go to the Play Store and download the Android Auto app on your phone (as shown in picture 1).
- Tap to turn on the Tlink5 app on the head unit (as shown in picture 2).
- Connect the USB cable of your phone to the USB cable labeled “USB” of the head unit.
Note:
- Please be sure that your phone supports Google services and Android Auto.
- Wired Android Auto requires Android version 6.0 or later with the latest version of the Android Auto app being installed on the phone.
Wireless Android Auto setup steps:
- Go to the Play Store and download the Android Auto app on your phone (as shown in picture 1).
- Tap to turn on the Tlink5 app on the head unit (as shown in picture 2).
- Turn on the WiFi and Bluetooth of your phone.
- Find Bluetooth of the head unit (Bluetooth name: EONON; password:0000) and connect to it.
- It will enter Android Auto automatically after connecting the Bluetooth successfully.
Note:
- Please be sure that your phone supports Google services and wireless Android Auto.
- To connect to wireless Android Auto, your phone needs to support 5 GHz Wi-Fi, with the latest version of the Android Auto app being installed on the phone. Such as all Android 11 phones, Android 10 Google phones or Samsung phones, Android 9 Samsung Galaxy 58, Galaxy S8+, or Note 8, etc.
Screen Mirroring
Wired Screen Mirroring
- Tap to turn on the Tlink5 app on the head unit (as shown in picture 1).
- Tap to switch to wired screen mirroring (as shown in picture 2).
iPhone Wired Screen Mirroring
Setup steps:
- Turn on the Bluetooth of the iPhone.
- Find the Bluetooth of the head unit (Bluetooth name: EONON; password:0000) and connect to it.
- Connect your iPhone to the USB port of the head unit with the iPhone USB cable.
- When a pop-up appears on your phone asking whether you want to trust this computer, tap Trust (as shown below).
Android Wired Screen Mirroring
Setup steps:
- Turn on the Bluetooth of your phone and connect it to the Bluetooth of the unit.
- Connect your phone to the USB port of the head unit with the phone’s USB cable. Use your phone to scan the QR code on the unit (as shown below) to download the Zplus APK and install it on the phone.
- Reconnect the USB cable after downloading the Zplus app. When a pop-up appears on your phone asking whether you want to start recording or casting with Zplus, tap Start Now.
Wireless Screen Mirroring
On the wired screen mirroring interface (as shown in picture 1), tap to switch to wireless screen mirroring.
iPhone Wireless Screen Mirroring
- Tap and then turn on the hotspot of the iPhone. Connect the head unit to the iPhone hotspot.
- Tap Screen Mirroring and then tap zj-airplay to set it up completely.
Android Wireless Screen Mirroring
- Tap and a QR code (as shown below) will appear on the head unit. Use your phone to scan the QR code to download the Plus APK and install it on the phone.
- Tap on your phone to turn on the Zplus app and select Wireless connection.
- Set it up according to the steps in the below picture.
- Turn on the Bluetooth of your phone and connect it to the Bluetooth of the unit. Turn on the hotspot of your phone and connect the head unit to the phone hotspot.
- Tap START SCREEN PROJECTION after setup. When a pop-up appears on your phone asking whether you want to start recording or casting with Zplus, tap Start Now.
Split-screen Multitasking
Enable split-screen mode:
- Click the status bar to view all running apps, and then select an app.
- Press and hold the selected app until it shows “Drag here to use split screen” on the left.
- Drag the app to the left.
- The split screen finished.
Exit split-screen mode:
- Touch and hold the split-screen line in the middle, and drag it left or right to exit split-screen mode.\
- Note: Some apps don’t support screen multitasking.
GPS Navigation
How to use GPS Navigation on Eonon Android car stereos?
- Online maps
- Google Maps app is preinstalled on Eonon car stereo. You can use online maps after connecting the head unit to the network.
- Offline maps
- If you are in an area where downloading the data of Google offline maps is supported, you can save the map data of that area to the car stereo in Google Maps and use it offline.
- Or you can download other offline map apps in Google Play such as Here WeGo.
- Buy a map card
- Buy a map card that works with Android car stereos, and insert the map card into the MicroSD card slot of the car stereo, then set the navigation path to run GPS.
- Note: Some car stereos don’t have an SD card slot and cannot use SD cards directly.
- Screen mirroring
- Maps on the phone can be synchronized to the car stereo screen via the Tlink5 app.
- Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
- For iPhone, maps on the phone can be synchronized to the car stereo screen via Apple CarPlay.
- For Android phones, maps on the phone can be synchronized to the car stereo screen via Android Auto.
Tips:
- You can also go to Google Play to download other navigation apps like Waze, Sygic, etc.
- Some navigation apps will specify the storage path of map data. Storing map data to an external MicroSD card or a USB flash drive is not supported.
GPS settings
- Enter Settings -> General -> Navigation application to select a navigation app as a Navigation shortcut.
- Enter Settings -> Sound – Navi audio channel to set up the navigation audio channel.
- When set to Mixing, you can still listen to radio, and music or hear other sounds when the navigation voice is speaking.
- You can change the volume of radio, music, or other sounds by adjusting the value of Mix Settings.
Wi-Fi
- Support connecting to the network via Wi-Fi.
- Click and select Network to set up the network.
Music
Video
- You can copy video files to a Micro SD card or USB flash drive before inserting them into the car stereo, and click to play videos.
- Support video formats like AVI, MKV, MP4, WMV, RMVB, MPG, etc.
- Note: Some car stereos don’t have an SD card slot and cannot use SD cards directly.
Picture
- Click to view all the pictures from the internal storage, SD card, or USB device.
- Note: Some car stereos don’t have an SD card slot and cannot use SD cards directly.
Audio Settings
- Click to access the Audio settings menu and set up settings like sound field effects, EQ modes, etc.
OBD-II
- OBD-Il(On-Board Diagnostics) is a computer-based self-diagnostic system built into your car that monitors emissions, mileage, speed, and more.
- Torque is a vehicle/car performance/diagnostics tool and scanner that uses an OBD II Bluetooth adapter to connect to your OBD2 engine management / ECU.
- You can see what your car is doing in realtime, get OBD fault codes, car performance, sensor data, and more.
- Click to enter the Torque app.
- Find your vehicle’s diagnostic plug and plug the OBD-ll adapter into it. The diagnostic plug is usually under the dashboard on the driver’s side, near the steering wheel, or behind the flaps under the steering wheel.
- Now you need to pair the adapter with the car stereo. Click to turn on Bluetooth of the car stereo and click to access Bluetooth settings, enter Bluetooth data service —> Go -> Pair a new device.
- When the Bluetooth device “OBD Il” is displayed in the list, select the device. Enter the pairing code “1234” to complete the pairing.
- Turn on the Torque app, click , and set up the Torque as follows: Settings —> OBD-Il Adapter Settings —> Choose Bluetooth Device — Select the corresponding OBD-ll device.
Note:
- This car stereo does not come with an OBD-ll adapter. You can choose to use the Eonon V0056 OBD-II adapter.
- It only supports adapters that require no connection password and transmit data via Bluetooth.
- When connecting to an OBDII adapter, you can enter 1234/0000/8888 when it requires a password for the connection.
- Some data may not be displayed because the data that different car OBD-ll ports support is different.
File Browser
Click to access File Browser.
You can view, copy, paste, or delete files in the memory/SD card/USB flash
drive through the File Browser.
Note: Some car stereos don’t have an SD card slot and cannot use SD cards
directly.
APP Installation
This product supports the installation of various applications, but there is
no guarantee that all applications will be compatible.
You can install an app via the following methods:
- Download it from the Google Play Store.
- Download the apk file for an app to the car stereo’s memory storage/SD card/USB flash drive and install it on the car stereo via APK Installer.
- Note: Some car stereos don’t have an SD card slot and cannot use SD cards directly.
LCD Screen Usage
Screen cleaning:
- Please turn off the power and wipe the screen gently with a soft cloth. When you wipe the screen, please avoid scratching the screen with your fingernails.
- Do not use wet cloth, volatile oil, or diluter to clean the screen.
Note:
- Sometimes there are small black dots or flashing dots(bright spots) on the LCD screen. This is a typical LCD phenomenon and not a symptom of any defect or failure.
- When used in a cold place, the screen may be dark after powering on. After a while, normal brightness will be restored.
- Screen reflection may occur when the sun shines directly on the screen. An anti-glare cover or film can be purchased to reduce reflections from direct sunlight on the screen.
- Please avoid direct sunlight on the LCD screen when not driving. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high temperatures may cause LCD screen malfunction.
- Do not press hard on the screen to avoid product failure.

GPS Antenna Installation
The GPS antenna can be mounted inside or outside the vehicle, such as the dashboard or the roof of the vehicle.
Note:
- The GPS antenna must be mounted in an open place. If the windshield is equipped with an explosion-proof membrane or a thermal insulation film, the satellite signal of the GPS antenna may be weakened.
- In this case, it is recommended to install the GPS antenna outside the vehicle.
Settings
Click to access settings.
- Display: Display setting
- Brightness setting: Adjust screen brightness.
Brightness mode
- Select [auto], the car stereo will switch between night and day mode depending on whether the car light is turned on or not.
- Select [day], the screen brightness stays in day mode.
- Select [night], the screen brightness stays in night mode.
- General: General settings
- Sleep Time: Set up the sleep time. You can turn on the car stereo quickly once connected to a power supply during sleep time, without restarting the car stereo.
- 2 Hours sleep: Select [2 hours sleep], and the car stereo will enter a sleep state. You can turn on the car stereo quickly if it is connected to a power supply within 2 hours.
- The head unit will start with a cold start after 2 hours. And the same applies to [1-day sleep] and [3-day sleep].
- Panel light setting: Set up the panel light.
- Follow the headlight: The panel light will only light up after the headlight is turned on.
- Normally on The panel light will stay on after turning on the head unit.
Reverse settings
- Reversing mirror: Select [on], and images on the screen are displayed as mirror-reversed while reversing.
- Reversing line ruler: Select [on], it will display the parking assist guidelines while reversing.
- Reverse delay: Set up the delay time for entering the reverse mode. For example, when set to [1 second], the car stereo will not enter the reverse mode until the car has reversed for 1 second.
Reverse mode
- Select [System reversing], the car stereo will enter reverse mode when reversing.
- Select [Prohibit reversing], the car stereo will not enter reverse mode when reversing.
Reversing system selection
- Select [auto], it will automatically recognize the format of the backup camera. If it can’t recognize the format of the backup camera, please set up the format manually.
- For example, if you use a 720P\25fps AHD camera, please select [AHD 720p 25fps].
- Reversing volume control: Set up the volume of radio, music, or other sounds when reversing.
Factory settings
- The password of the factory setting is [123456]. Factory settings are for configuration during the manufacturing process. Please do not change them arbitrarily, or the car stereo may not work properly.
Steering wheel settings
Note: You don’t need to set up steering wheel controls if your car stereo comes with a CAN Bus. Steps:
- Connect Steering Wheel Control 1\Steering Wheel Control 2\GND wires of the car stereo to your car SWC wires.
- Click “RESET” and then click “START”.
- Select the button you want to set up.
- Press and hold the corresponding button that needs to be set on the steering wheel. It’s set up successfully when a blue tick appears.
- Repeat 3-4 times to complete the settings of all buttons.
- Click “END”.
Note:
The steering wheel control function of Eonon universal car stereos is
controlled by analog signal. If your car is controlled by the digital signal,
you need to purchase a steering wheel control adapter cable to transfer the
digital signal to analog signal.

FAQ
Can it be updated to the latest Android version?
Different from computers or phones, Eonon head units do not support upgrading the Android system to a higher version.
Blank screen/Can’t power on:
- Please press the RST button of the car stereo.
- Please check if the car stereo has stable DC12V voltage?
- Please check if the car stereo fuse is burnt out?
- Please reconnect the BATT+/ACC/GND wires of the car stereo to the BATT+/ACC/GND wires of the original car.
Radio is not working properly:
- Please check if the radio area is set correctly.
- Please check if the radio antenna is connected properly and reconnect it to have a try.
- Please check if the ANT control cable is connected properly and reconnect it to have a try.
No sound:
- Please reconnect the 4 sets of speaker output wires in ISO PORT with the interface of the original car speaker.
- Please make sure that the amplifier control wire (REM) of the original car is properly connected to the amplifier control wire of the car stereo.
Images do not automatically change while reversing:
- Please connect the reverse control wire of the car stereo to the backup camera trigger wire.
There is no image while reversing:
- Enter Settings-> Reverse-> Reversing system selection to set up the format of the backup camera.
No GPS signal:
- Please check whether the GPS antenna is connected properly and reconnect it to have a try.
- Please confirm whether you’re in an area where GPS signal is shielded. Please drive for a while to see if the GPS signal is restored.
Android Auto is not working:
- Please make sure that your phone supports Google services and Android Auto. Please note that some mobile phones don’t support Android Auto, and some mobile phones only support wired Android Auto but not wireless Android Auto.
- If your phone supports Android Auto, please install Android Auto APP from the Play store before using it.
- To use wired Android Auto, please use the original data cable and connect it to the USB cable labeled “CarPlay” of the head unit.
- To use wireless Android Auto, please turn on WiFi and Bluetooth of your phone and connect your phone’s Bluetooth to the head unit’s Bluetooth. Please note that you only need to connect Bluetooth but not WiFi.
CarPlay is not working:
- To use wired CarPlay, please use the original data cable and connect it to the USB cable labeled “CarPlay” of the head unit.
- To use wireless CarPlay, please turn on WiFi and Bluetooth of your iPhone and connect your phone’s Bluetooth to the head unit’s Bluetooth. Please note that you only need to connect Bluetooth but not WiFi.
