DESCRIPTION OF THE BATTERY CHARGER

This charger can charge 4 kinds of batteries Ni-CdNi-MH, RAM &Alkaline. Accommodates both AA, AAA, C, D size and 9V batteries.
The Four separate battery charging bays function independently
This enables charging of up to 4 batteries simultaneously.
Note: Batteries must of the same type is Ni-Cd、Ni-MH or alkaline.
Battery type is preselected therefore only one type (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, RAM or alkaline (Ram Setting)) battery can be charged at one time.
This charger uses the latest battery charging technology. It uses “-delta V” deletion when charging Ni-Cd &Ni MH battery first, followed by a quick charge. Once the battery is fully charged, a constant current trickle charge will keep the battery at optimum capacity.
As 2 USB port to recharge smartphone and tablets.
Discharging Ni-Cd only: Discharge times will very dependant on capacity and charge state, typically the process could take up to one hour, before the charge cycle commences.
During the discharge process The indicator LED will glow amber.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE RECHARGING OF ALKALINE BATTERIES:
This charger can charge and extend the life of most new and high quality alkaline batteries. Be sure to set the switch (7) to
“ALK” (leftmost position when facing the charger).
Most high-quality alkaline batteries can be recharged up to ten times, allowing them to hold about 75 to 90% of their power, until the batteries run out. These batteries should not be completely drained before recharging. For safe and optimal performance, please follow the instructions in this manual.

HOW TO USE IT

  • Connect the DC plug from the AC adaptor to the DC socket on the rear of the charger.

  • Insert the AC adaptor into the household supply ensuring the wall socket is switched ON. This will cause the LED power indicator light (10) to turn on.

  • Select the required battery type by moving the selection switch (7) between Ni-Cd ,Ni-MH or ALK batteries (Switch must not be moved after batteries are loaded).

  • Insert the required number of batteries into the charger, making sure the correct polarity is observed (+ is uppermost)

  • After approximately 2 seconds the Charger will automatically detect the status of the battery.

  • Once battery detection is complete one of the following charging programs will start.

  • The charger automatically begins to charge your batteries, as indicated by both LED and LCD Status Indicators.
    How to use it

    • For NiCd batteries must first be discharged. The charger knows this and automatically discharges your NiCd batteries before charging to ensure ideal battery performance.
Discharge is indicated by “DIS” appearing in the LCD Status Indicator. Once discharge has been completed, the unit will begin to recharge your NiCd batteries.

    • Ni-MH batteries have no memory effect. The charger will automatically start charging (the display will show “CHA” for “charging”). The battery icon will be displayed on the screen. When the battery is fully charged, the display shows the word “OK”. The icon of the charged battery appears on the screen and the indicator turns green.

    • Alkaline batteries can be regenerated as long as they are not fully discharged.
The charger will automatically start charging (the display will show “CHA” for “charging”). The battery icon will be displayed on the screen.
When the battery is fully charged, the display shows the word “OK”. The icon of the charged battery appears on the screen and the indicator turns green.

    • The 9V battery bay does not have a corresponding readout on the LCD display. The red 9V LED light indicates that the battery is being charged.
When the light goes out the battery is fully charged.

    • Use the 1A USB port to charge smartphones and the 2A USB port to charge tablets.

    • When the battery are fully charged, it’s not necessary to remove them immediately as the charger will automatically keep it at its optimum capacity.

Attention if you are in Ni-Cd mode on the switch (7) but you put Ni-MH type batteries, the batteries can be discharged!

The European directive 2012/19/EC about electronic and electric waste, requires that you can’t throw away defective domestic appliance with common waste. Used device has to be collect separately to optimize the recuperation rate and the recycling of the materials to reduce the impact on the health and the environment.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or by persons lacking in experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed on the use of this apparatus by a person responsible for their safety.Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with this appliance.

Precision and precautions about the battery use

  • Throwing away a used battery in the environment or with household waste pollutes and avoids the recuperation of reusable materials.
  • It is important to limit the battery consumption and to respect the following rules:
    • Favor alkaline battery (last longer than saline battery) and when it’s possible use rechargeable battery.
    • Leave used batteries and accumulators in adapted containers that you can find in some retailers. In that way, metals don’t pollute the environment and the health.
  • Battery has to be inserted by respecting the polarity show on the apparel and the battery. An incorrect positioning can damage the apparel, cause leaking and even provoke fire and the explosion of the battery.
  • To assure a good functioning, battery has to be in a good condition. If there is a problem, put new battery.
  • Never try to recharge battery not made for this. It could leak, warm up, cause fire or explode.
  • Replace all the battery at the same time. Never mix up alkaline battery with saline battery.
  • Used battery has to be removed.
  • Also, remove the battery if you’re not using the apparel for a long time.
  • Never try to short-circuit the terminal of a battery.
  • Never throw away the battery in fire because they can explode.
  • Take out the accumulator from the apparel before reload it.
  • We recommend that an adult watch if a child change the battery to respect those rules.
  • If you swallow a battery, go immediately to your doctor or the hospital.
  • For the best ongoing performance, we recommend using only fresh, high-quality, alkaline batteries.
