Safety instructions
WARNING! Failure to obey these warnings could result in death or serious
injury.
Fire hazard
- If the poles are reversed, the device may overheat. Do not reverse the polarity.
CAUTION! Failure to obey these cautions could result in minor or moderate
injury.
Electrocution hazard
- Repair of the device must only be carried out by qualified personnel who are familiar with the risks involved and the relevant and national regulations. For repair service, contact the manufacturer’s support (see dometic.com/contact).
- Electronic devices are not toys: Keep electrical appliances out of reach of children or infirm persons. Do not let children or infirm persons use the appliances without supervision.
- Installation on boats: If electrical devices are incorrectly installed on boats, corrosion damage might occur. Have the inverter installed by a specialist (marine) electrician.
- Lay the cables so that they cannot be tripped over or damaged.
- Do not pull on the cables.
- Do not lay loose or bent cables next to conductive material (metal).
- Only operate the device if you are certain that the housing and the cables are undamaged.
- If the cooling device’s power cable is damaged, It must be replaced with a suitable power cable or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent to prevent safety hazard.

- Do not operate the device in wet or damp environments.
- Never immerse the device in water.
- Do not operate the device outdoors.
- Do not expose the device or its cables to heast (e.g. direct sunlight, heating, ovens, …).
Intended use
The mains rectifier is intended for operation of compressor refrigerators with
a rated voltage of 12/24 V from an electric mains of IOO- 240 V~.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in
accordance with these Instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation
and/or operation of the product. Poor installation and/or improper operating
or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible
failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product
resulting from:
- Incorrect installation, assembly or connection, including excess voltage
- Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the manufacturer
- Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
- Use for purposes other than those described in this manual
Dometic reserves the right to change product appearance and product specifications.
Technical description
When connected to an 100 – 240 V~ electric mains , the device automatically
switches from battery operation to mains operation.
When disconnected from the 100 – 240 V~ electric mains, the device
automatically switches back to 12/24 V battery operation.
In mains operation the output voltage of the device is 27 V .
In battery operation the input voltage is passed through so that the output
voltage equals the input voltage.
Installation and operation
▶ Mount and connect the device as shown in the figures.
After proper installation and connection the device operates automatically.
Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING! Electrocution hazard
Always disconnect the power supply cable before cleaning or servicing the
device.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Never clean the device under running water or in dish water.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during cleaning as these
can damage the device.
▶ Occasionally clean the product with a damp cloth.
▶ Replace defective fuses with new ones of the same rating.
Warranty
The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please
contact your retailer or the manufacturer’s branch in your country (see
dometic.com/dealer).
For repair and warranty processing, please include the following documents
when you send in the product:
- Acopy ofthe receipt with purchasing date
- Areason for the claim or description of the fault
Note that self-repair or non-professional repair can have safety consequences and might void the warranty.
Disposal
Recycling packaging material
** ▶ Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins
wherever possible.
Recycling products with non-replaceable batteries, rechargeable batteries,
or light sources
** ▶ If the product contains any non-replaceable batteries, rechargeable
batteries, or light sources, you don’t have to remove them before disposal.
▶ If you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling
center or specialist dealer for details about how to do this in accordance
with the applicable disposal regulations.
▶ The product can be disposed free of charge.
