INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR INSTALLATION, USE AND MAINTENANCE
GENERAL ASPECTS
The VAELLO CAMPOS GAS BURNER (VAELLO LA VALENCIANA) is a burner for domestic
cooking that uses liquid petroleum gas and ‘second family’ gas (Natural Gas)
and is designed to heat receptacles that contain liquids or food or a
hotplate.
This applance must not be connected to a flue gas extractor fan.
The appliance has a label or plaque affixed with its features, describing the
adjustment conditions, the nominal calorific consumption expressed in kW,
known as the Gross Calorific Value (GCV), and the gas consumption in kg/h.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE “MAY ONLY BE USED OUTDOORS” IMPORTANT:
– The product may be exclusively used for cooking meals with the right
recipients. Do not use it as a heater.
– The appliance has been checked individually in the factory, pnmanily the
aspects that affect safety such as its sealing and safe operation, as well as
the finishes.
– There is no flame control device or any other device for controlling the
fuel supply as this is an appliance that requires constant supervision during
its use and furthermore may only be used in the open air.
– Use on heat-resistant surfaces and place it on a flat surface that
guarantees the stability of the placed recipients.
– It may be used with a gas regulator according to the pressure exits
indicated. The non-use of the it can extinguish the flame and it can produce
the exit of gas without burning.
– During the installation and connection of the appliance, do not smoke or
ight any kind of flame when you are near the ignition points.
– Do NOT used the product with inadequate clothes which could be burned down
– If you notice a strong smell of Nes do not light any kind of flame or
operate any kind of electrical switch. Checks for possible leaks should always
be done with soapy water and NEVER with a flame.
– Do not move the appliance during use.
– Do not use the appliance on or close to flammable surfaces.
– Close the gas shut-off vaive on the appliance afteruse.
– Keep away from children and disabled people as the accessible parts of the
appliance can become very hot.
– Any modification of the appliance by anyone not authorized by the
manufacturer could be dangerous and is strictly prohibited.
– You may use all kinds of receptacles that exceed the diameter of the
burner’s supports by 2-5 cm. The total weight of the receptacle and its
contents should not exceed 90 kg. Put the base of the receptacle (in a
horizontal position) on top of the burner’s support, bearing in mind that the
flames from the burner must not exceed the base of the receptacle.
– The burner can be used with the following types of gas container:
- Gas bottle of 12.5kg
- Gas bottle of 6 kg.
- Camping gas bottle of 2.8 kg (provided that it ts coupled using an approved regulator that allows the clamp and the flexible tube to fit snugly)
INSTALLATION
The installation and connection of the appliance to the gas supply must be
done according to the installation regulations in force in the country in
which it is to be used, and must include a quick cut-off switch between the
appliance and the source of gas (the shut-off valve of the gas bottle
regulator is acceptable).
The appliance comes with the corresponding gas connection according to the
country in which itis sold.
The connection between the appliance and the fuel supply should be done by a
flexible tube which must be officially certified and within the approved
expiry date. These two requirements must be printed on the tube itself by law.
The flexible tube should be affixed securely to the connections by its
corresponding clamp or screw (Figure 1).
If using 2 cylindrical gas bottle, this must be attached to the bumer in a
vertical position and standing to the right-hand side, as far as possible from
the burner. The flexible tube should be a maximum of 1.5 metres long and must
not come into contact with any part of the burner that might become hot
Do not bend or twist the flenble tube during installation and use.
Before making the connection check that the keys of the gas bumer must be in
the minimum position (MIN) to the limit.
Connect the bottle using the regulator, checking in advance that the joint of
the gas bottle valve is in a perfect condition.
Before changing the gas bottle, remember.
– The shut-off valve of the bottle must be in the OFF position.
– The keys of the burner-paella hob must be in the minimum position (to the
limit).
– Once you have ensured the above, remove the regulator and change the gas
bottle.
PRECAUTION: The gas bottle must be changed away from any source of
ignition.
IMPORTANT: Each burner is prepared at the factory with the gas connection
corresponding to the type of gas with which it is going to be used (butane-
propane or natural gas).
Consequently, any attempt to adapt a burner prepared for butane-propane gas to
natural gas (or vice versa) outside our factory is strictly
prohibited.
USE
– Turn on the shut-off valve of the gas tube: if you are using bottles, this
is regulator key.
– To open the gas flow, move the contro! to the left, turning it to the
highest position.
– Once the bumer is lit you can move the control as you wish, turning it to
the desired setting.
– The keys of the bumer-paelia hob have a minimum and a maximum setting.
– You should avoid any flames exceeding the diameter of the base of the
receptacle by adjusting the bumer settings.
– The bumer-paella hob has a support for the receptacles and for determining
the heating surface area.
– Tum off the gas burner from the valves or taps. Do not “tum it off” by
blowing or closing the regulator.
– Clean the gas bumer of cooking residues after using it to avoid a possible
obstruction of the holes.
– Once you have finished using the burner-paella hob, turn the controls to the
right, i.e. put them in the minimum position (to the limit).
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
– Wait for the burner-paella hob to cool down and then clean with soapy water,
rinsing and drying thoroughly. This operation should be done at least once a
year.
– Do not allow water to enter the bumers.
– Do not use bleach or solvents.
– If the orifices become obstructed, do not use the appliance until it has
been checked by an authonzed dealer.
– Do not dismantle any components. This must only be done by an authorized
dealer or the manufacturer.
– Use protective gloves if you have to touch any hot components.
– Store the bumer-paelia hob in a dry place, protected from dust and damp and
any possible insect infestation.
– Do not poke any objects into the injector holes.
– Before each use, check the expiry date on the flexible tube and replace it
if necessary.
– If you notice any kind of anomaly, get the appliance checked by an
authorized dealer.
If the burner has any defect that may involve a risk and could be dangerous,
notify the seller so that it can be checked by a person authorized to do it.
