Product Usage Instructions
Device Installation
- Pull out the “Remove to Activate” sticker on the back of the locator device. The LED will blink blue, then go solid green and buzz once to indicate activation.
- Open https://portal.recovr.biz on your cell phone and go to the Vehicles tab. Tap on the chain icon and select “pair locator to vehicle”.
- Tap on the camera icons to scan the locator device’s QR code and the vehicle’s VIN barcode, then tap on “Pair”.
- Turn the locator device upside down for 2 seconds and then back to complete the pairing process. The LED will blink blue, then go solid green and buzz twice to confirm successful pairing.
- Place the locator device inside the vehicle in a non-visible location such as the glove compartment, trunk, door pocket, or under the driver’s seat. Enter the chosen position in http://portal.recovr.biz for future reference.
Permanent Installation (When sold to a customer)
When the car is sold to a customer and they purchase the RecovR Service:
- Choose a permanent flat and hidden location for the locator device.
- Use the provided alcohol wipes to clean the surface where the locator device will be affixed.
- Attach the locator device using the VHB tape, ensuring it is not visible and exposed to light.
Troubleshooting
Light Indicator Error Codes
- LED fast flashing red: Communication problem with the RecovR application. Move to a place with a better signal and retry the activation and/or pairing steps.
- LED solid red: The pairing or unpairing steps failed. Retry the pairing or unpairing steps.
- LED slow flashing red: Low battery. Replace the locator device with a new one.
- Any other LED behavior: Please contact RecovR Customer Support.
Notes
- Only one locator device can be paired at any time to a vehicle. It is not possible to have 2 or more locator devices paired to the same vehicle or several vehicles paired to the same locator device.
- The radio equipment for RecovR products is in compliance with Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
- Dispose of the product separately from household waste. Take it to a collection point designated by local authorities for proper recycling.

DEVICE INSTALLATION

- The locator device is now activated and ready for use.
- Open https://portal.recovr.biz in your cell phone and go to “Vehicles” tab. Tap on the “chain” icon and select “pair locator to vehicle”.
- Tap on the camera icons to scan the locator device’s QR code and the vehicle’s VIN bar code, then tap on “Pair”.
- Turn the locator device upside down for 2 seconds and then back to complete the pairing process.
- The LED blinks blue, then goes solid green and buzzes twice.
- The locator device is now paired with the vehicle. The position of the vehicle will be available in a few minutes in https://portal.recovr.biz.
- Place the locator device inside the vehicle.
- Choose a nonvisible place, like the glove compartment, the trunk, a door pocket or under the driver’s seat.
- You can enter the position chosen in http://portal.recovr.biz so it is easier for your team to find it again later. Don’t use the VHB tape at this time yet, for easy removal later.
- When the car is sold to a customer and he/she purchases the RecovR Service, choose a permanent flat and hidden location for the locator device.
- Use the alcohol wipes provided to clean the surface and affix the locator device using the VHB tape. Ensure the locator device is not visible and exposed to any light.
To reuse a locator device in another vehicle, unpair the locator device from the previous vehicle first.
- Open https://portal.recovr.biz and go to the “Vehicles” tab. Tap on the “chain” icon and select “unpair locator from vehicle”.
- Tap on the camera icon to scan the locator device QR code or enter the locator device ID. Please indicate a reason for the unpairing and confirm the operation with the “unpair” button.
- Turn the locator device upside down for 2 seconds and then back to complete the unpairing process.
- The LED blinks blue, then goes solid green and buzzes once.
- The locator device can now be associated with another vehicle. To do so follow the above steps from 2 to 5.
