CLEAN ALL RESIN PARTS IN WARM SOAPY WATER
The silicone release agent used in the casting process will react with paint,
it must be thoroughly cleaned off before painting.
This is a rough guide to using the kit. Care should be taken at each
stage to make sure the model is going together correctly and any alterations
that are not in the instructions should be carried out.
Paint: Components can be painted at any time in the build, it is a case
of what suits the builder. We tend to use Automotive spray paints such as
Halfords or Hycote or Hobby Paints like Humbrol, Revell or Tamiya.
Glue: Recommended glue is contact adhesive or super glue. Blue Lid
Gorilla Super Glue is what we prefer.
Step One. Glue the plastic tube to the main pivot piece. Select the auto fill or turbo fill head and glue to the plastic tube, ensure it is at 90 deg to the pivot piece.
Step Two. Glue the gate valve/mount to the base of the tankers front dish. Ensure the valve is vertical and the mount sits horizontal. Cut a length of the wire and bend the end to form a pin. Paint the parts as desired then insert the pin through the pivot piece and glue it into the gate pivot.
Step Three. The docking frame is constructed from the two laser cut
rings, four legs and the resin 90deg tube.
They are constructed as illustrated, being capped off with the resin docking
cone. There are two laser cut hooks that can be glued to the chassis rails to
allow the docking frame to be hung on the tanker for transport
