Inn overtone Electronic Basketball Scoreboard (EBS) Mini — your ultimate game companion! Designed with portability, the EBS Mini is a portable electronic scoreboard controller that lets you keep track of the score and time in basketball games with ease. Small size, big impact. GAME ON!

• Customizable TEAM names.
• Displays scores, game time, shot clock, period, time out left (T.O.L.), foul and ball possession.
• Use any TV display with an HDMI port (user provided) – TV NOT INCLUDED
• Configurable game time: 25:00, 20:00, 15:00, 10:00, 5:00, 2:00, 0:00, up to specific minutes, seconds, and milliseconds.
• Configurable shot clock value: 30, 25, 24, 20, 14, 12 seconds, and disable shot clock (–).
• With battery backup in case of a sudden power outage to record scores.

Important Safety Instructions

Before operating Innovatronix Basketball Scoreboard (EBS) Mini, please read this manual and all the safety instructions thoroughly and retain it for future reference.

Safety Instructions

Do not operate with wet hands.
Never immerse the Innovatronix EBS Mini in water or other liquids
Do not use the Innovatronix EBS Mini under direct sunshine.
Arrange all equipment before operation.
Immediately replace stripped-off power supply cable.

Basic Installation

Handle the equipment with care when transferring the unit from one location to another.
Do not place heavy objects on top of the Innovatronix EBS Mini.

How to Maintain Innovatronix EBS Mini?

• Turn off and unplug Innovatronix EBS Mini before cleaning.
• Use a dry cloth when cleaning the unit.
• Do not use any liquid or detergents.
• Turn off the unit when not in use.
• Notify a qualified technician for repairs.

Key Buttons and Features

Preset Button| Hold for five (5) seconds to enter Preset Mode; Press once while in Preset Mode to enter Running Mode.

Start Button| Starts the game time while in Running Mode; Changes the game time to 25, 20, 15, 12, 10, 5, 2, or 0 minutes in Preset Mode.
Stop Button| Stops the game time during Running Mode.
Increment (+) and Decrement (-) for Home Score| Increases or decreases the displayed value for Home’s Score during Running Mode; Increases or decreases the game time minutes in Preset Mode.
Increment (+) and Decrement (-) for Guest Score| Increases or decreases the displayed value for Guest’s Score during Running Mode; Increases or decreases the game time seconds in Preset Mode.
Period| Adjusts game period from 1 to 4 during Running Mode;
14S Button| Resets the shot clock time to 14 seconds.
Reset Button| Changes the shot clock value to 30, 25, 24, 20, 14, 12 seconds or Disabled Shot Clock during Preset Mode; resets the shot clock time during Running Mode.
Home Foul Button/A-| Adjusts Home’s team fouls from 0 to 4 and P for penalty situation during Running Mode; Changes a selected character in descending order during Preset Mode.
Guest Foul Button/>>| Adjusts Guest’s team fouls from 0 to 4 and P for penalty situation during Running Mode: To select which space to change.
Home T.O.L. Button/A+| Changes the Home’s timeouts left from 3 to 0 during running Mode; Changes a selected character in ascending order during Preset Mode.
Guest T.O.L. Button/<<| Changes the Guest’s timeouts left from 3 to 0 during running Mode; To select which space to change.
Horn Button| Activates the buzzer.
Poss Button| Ball possession control. It will automatically reset the shot clock time when pressed.

How to Setup?

1. Plug the power cord (DC 5V) and switch ON the Main Controller.
   Make sure the TV Display is also switched ON and the right HDMI is set.

2. Connect the HDMI cable to the Main Controller and to the LED Monitor or TV Display.

3. Set the game time, shot clock, team names, and number of quarters/periods.

How to Operate?

1. Assure that all equipments were carefully set up, all connectors were properly attached and all parts were switched on.

2. The PRESET button is the program lock of the system which can be used by the game officials to control the time for the game.

3. Press and hold the PRESET button for five (5) seconds. The main controller will only display the Game Time and SHOT CLOCK figures allowing you to set or edit the time of the game.

4. Press the START button to change the pre-set game time: 25, 20, 15, 12, 10, 5, 2 or 0 minutes.

5. The HOME Score – or + buttons will increment or decrement the game TIME by a minute.

6. The GUEST Score + or – buttons will increment or decrement the game TIME by a second.

7. The RESET button will toggle the SHOT CLOCK time to 30, 25, 24, 20, 14, 12 seconds or Disabled Shot Clock.
   Note: The selected shot clock time will be the time displayed everytime you reset the shot clock.

8. Press the PRESET button to save your game time settings.

9. Simply press the START button to begin the time countdown.

10. Pressing RESET button between playing periods will reset the shot clock time and start it when the game starts to count down or is already counting down.

11. The 14S button will reset the SHOT CLOCK to 14 seconds with manual operation, in accordance to FIBA rule. (Effective as of October 2014)

12. When the shot clock time and game time reaches zero, both time will stop and the horn on the TV will sound. Press the RESET and START button to begin/resume the Shot Clock and Game Time, respectively.

13. Press the STOP button to stop both shot clock and the game time count.
    Press the START button again to continue the last count made.

14. Increment and Decrement for HOME and GUEST Scores allows manipulation of scores only after saving your time settings.

15. Pressing and holding the PRESET button during game will stop counting and allow editing of time.
    Note: When the game is less than a minute, time display switches to seconds (i.e. 59.00 for 59 seconds)

How to Customize Team Names?

1. Press and hold the “PRESET” button for 5 seconds. Your screen will show a blinking line as an indication that you can start changing the team names.
   

2. To select alphanumerical character, use the “FOUL” and “T.O.L” buttons on the upperleft portion of the controller. It has a “ – A +” blue label.

3. To select the space you want to change, use the “FOUL” and “T.O.L” buttons on the upperright portion of the controller. It has a “ <<_>>” blue label.

4. Press the “PRESET” button to save changes.

Troubleshooting

Contact the authorized service technician for repair.
Tampering the unit will cause the voiding of the warranty.
This section describes probable system issues, identifies potential causes, and offers corrective action. This list may not contain every conceivable issue, but it does reflect some of the most frequent circumstances that may arise.

Turn off the unit and notify a qualified technician or contact our customer service hotline when any of the following occurs:

• Liquids gets through the internal parts of the unit.
• The unit has been dropped and some parts appear to be damaged (push buttons, power switch, power cord, etc.)
• Some of the LEDs on the Main Contorller fail to light up.
• The scoreboard is not functioning properly accorrding to its normal operations.

Service and Warranty

The Innovatronix EBS Mini is covered by a one-year warranty starting from the date of purchase. From that date, the product should be free of any defect in material and workmanship and it will function in accordance with its stated performance.

Within this period, Innovatronix Inc. will replace defective parts. This warranty only covers failure due to manufacturing defects and workmanship. Hence, breakdown of the product due to gross abuse, use with non-recommended equipment or devices and normal wear and tear are not covered in this warranty.

There are no warranties by use except as stated therein. For unsafe and/or faulty repairs, Innovatronix Inc. and/or sellers shall not be liable for such cases. Any alteration made to this product by unauthorized service technicians is the sole responsibility of the owner. The maximum liability for any breach of this agreement or other claim to use of this product shall not exceed the purchase price of the product by the customer.

Warranty registration is not required. Warranty is applicable if and only the product is used under normal conditions and for its intended purpose.

Product replacement policy may differ for every seller. Contact their customer service representative for satisfaction guarantee and officer for their warranty program.

Replacement Policy

In the event that you experience any issues or defects with your purchase, Innovatronix provides a replacement with a ONE (1) YEAR warranty from the date of purchase. Follow these steps to send an item for replacement:

Note: Remember to pack the item properly to prevent damage during transportation if you intend to ship it. When shipping, Innovatronix does not recommend utilizing packing peanuts. The same packaging applies with trade-in units for items over the warranty period.
