ADA Compliance
The washer can be made ADA compliant by using a 4-inch ADA riser and drip pan
(part number GAF140SSNWW) for the 24 Front Load model.
Stacked Installation
If you want to stack a dryer over the washer, please note that the stacking
kit is not included with the washer. You will need to order part number
GFA24KITL separately.
Alcove or Closet Installation
If your dryer is approved for installation in an alcove or closet, it will be
stated on a label on the dryer back.
For stacked installations, the dimensions are as follows:
- Height: 23-7/16 inches
- Width: 25-5/8 inches
- Depth: 3-3/8 inches
The dryer must be exhausted to the outside, except for the condensing dryer. Minimum clearances between the dryer cabinet and adjacent walls or surfaces are: 1 inch on the left and right sides,1 inch on the top, and 1 inch on the front and rear.
For closet installations, the closet doors must be louvered or otherwise ventilated and must contain a minimum of 60 square inches of open area equally distributed. If the closet contains both a washer and a dryer, the doors must contain a minimum of 120 square inches of open area equally distributed. No other fuel-burning appliance should be installed in the same closet with a gas dryer.
Bathroom or Bedroom Installation
If you are installing the dryer in a bathroom or bedroom, it must be
exhausted to the outdoors, except for the condensing dryer.
The installation must conform with local codes. In the absence of local codes, it must conform with the National Electric Code and National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223 for gas dryers.
Minimum clearances to combustible surfaces for installations other than alcove or closet installations are: 0 inches on both sides and 3 inches at the rear.

Product Usage Instructions
To use the GFW148SSMWW front load washer, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Loading the Washer
Open the washer door and load your laundry into the drum. Make sure not to
overload the washer as it may affect performance and cleaning results. Close
the door securely.
Step 2: Selecting a Wash Cycle
Turn the cycle selector knob to choose the desired wash cycle.
The available wash cycles may include Normal, Delicates, Heavy Duty, Quick
Wash, and more. Refer to the user manual for detailed descriptions of each
cycle.
Step 3: Adjusting Settings
If desired, you can adjust additional settings such as water temperature, spin
speed, and soil level using the control panel or buttons provided. Refer to
the user manual for instructions on adjusting specific settings.
Step 4: Starting the Wash
Press the Start/Pause button to begin the wash cycle. The washer will
automatically fill with water and start agitating. The remaining time for the
cycle will be displayed on the control panel.
Step 5: Adding Detergent
If necessary, add the appropriate amount of detergent to the detergent
dispenser. Follow the detergent manufacturer’s instructions for the correct
dosage. Close the detergent dispenser after adding detergent.
Step 6: Monitoring the Wash
During the wash cycle, you can monitor the progress through the control panel
or by observing the washer’s operation. If desired, you can pause the cycle
using the Start/Pause button and make any necessary adjustments.
Step 7: Removing the Laundry
Once the wash cycle is complete, the washer will automatically stop. Open the
door and remove your laundry. Ensure that no items are left inside the drum.
Step 8: Cleaning and Maintenance
After each use, it is recommended to clean the detergent dispenser, drum, and
door seal to prevent buildup of residue or mold. Refer to the user manual for
specific cleaning instructions.

Q: Can I stack a dryer over this washer?
A: Yes, you can stack a dryer over this washer using a stacking kit.
However, please note that the stacking kit is not included with the washer.
