Bissell

  • Make sure the foot and hand vac are fully inserted into the body of the machine

    • Detach the hand vac from the body of the machine

    • Remove dirt container from hand vac

    • Power the machine on and check for suction at the circular motor duct

    • If no suction at the motor duct, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us

    • Empty the dirt cup

      • Press button to release from machine
    • Clean the filters

      • Pull out the separator which contains the filters from the middle of the dirt cup
    • Pull out white pleated filter and tap over garbage to clear any debris

      • This filter is NOT washable
    • Pull out the black foam filter located underneath the white pleated filter and clear any debris

      • It may be washed
      • Must air dry completely before replacing into machine
    • If you clean with this machine frequently, the filters may need to be replaced

    • With the hand vac removed, turn the power on and check for suction at the nozzle

      • If there is no suction, check to see if the nozzle is clogged – remove obstructions and check for suction again
    • Remove foot assembly and check for clogs

    •  If there is still no suction, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us

Blowing Dust

  • Make sure dirt cup is properly attached to the hand vac

    • They should click into place
    • The dirt cup should have no space between where the dirt cup meets the battery pack
  • Make sure both filters are installed correctly into the debris bin cup

    • The foam filter goes underneath white pleated filter
