IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• To ensure the correct function of the light system, only Supernova tail lights of the series “E3 TAILLIGHT 2” should be used.
• Never use a strong water jet to clean the front light.
• Never connect the E3 tail light directly to the dynamo, always to the front light.
• The warranty will be void if housing is opened.
• Do not mount the front light housing with the cable exit facing up.
• Never look directly into the light.
• The front light must not be covered (according to StVZO).
• Connect the front light and the tail light always two-core (never lead ground over the frame!)
• The front light will not work if there is a short circuit in the cable.
• If the tail light connection is not used, the cables must be insulated.
• The light source for the high beam function consists of 4 LEDs and the light source for the low beam consists of 5 LEDs. The front light must be replaced if one of the light sources fails. Supernova will be happy to help you with the repair.
• The parallel connection of a USB charger like the CINQ5 PLUG leads to a strong flickering of the front light because many USB chargers short-circuit the dynamo, even when no load is applied. This can only be avoided by completely disconnecting the charger from the circuit with a switch or connector.

HIGH BEAM FUNCTION SWITCH

In order to protect the gold coating, we recommend not to disconnect the plug connection to the high beam function switch frequently.

Please make sure that the switch cable fits into the cable guide of the holder.

HIGH BEAM FUNCTION SWITCH

The high beam function can be activated as soon as the button lights up white and can be switched on by briefly pressing the button. If you cycle slower with the high beam function switched on than is required for this function, the front light automatically switches back to the low beam. It is important for the function to use the supplied switch.
When the high beam function is active, the switch lights up blue.

WITCH FUNCTIONS

OPERATING THE FRONT LIGHT WITH THE BUTTON
By pressing the switch for approx. 3 seconds, you can turn off the light completely while driving. For safety reasons, this only works at low speeds. When the switch is pressed again, the light comes back on. When starting to cycle after longer pauses, the light always switches on automatically.
The low beam can be turned on manually during the day by briefly pressing the switch, even if it has been turned off by the light sensor. The high beam function can always be activated by pressing the switch when the low beam is active.
Switching off the parking light.
When the bicycle is parked, the parking light remains on for approx. 4 minutes. The parking light can be turned off and on by briefly pressing the switch.
