The Dometic Marine Gateway (hereinafter referred to as gateway) is intended to
offer control and monitoring of vessel systems via the Dometic Marine
application (app) available for specified Apple and Android
devices. Monitoring and control functions can be achieved remotely with a
Dometic cloud account or within range of a local connection.
The product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in
accordance with these instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper operation of the
product. Improper operating or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory
performance and possible failure. The manufacturer accepts no liability for
any injury or damage to the product resulting from:
- Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
- Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts provided by the manufacturer
- Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
- Use for purposes other than those described in this manual

Getting started
This section describes how to install the app on a phone and how to pair with the gateway to access the available controls and monitoring features and functions. These steps are required to access the gateway functions.
NOTE To complete the process successfully, you must let the app access the phone’s Bluetooth and location services, if prompted. Also, you must have physical access to the gateway and to the gateway quick response (QR) code. If you do not know where the gateway is installed, contact the installer or vessel manufacturer.
- Find and install the Dometic Marine app in the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
- Use the app to create and log into a cloud account.
- Follow the app step-by-step guidance, including the pairing process when prompted:
- Scan or enter the gateway QR code located on the bottom of the gateway or included in the packaging.
- Pairing button
- Press and release the Bluetooth pairing button located on the front edge of the gateway.
- Consult the app for the remaining step-by-step guidance.
Maintenance
This section describes how to care for the gateway.
Storage mode
When the gateway is placed in storage mode, the gateway is Off and does not
perform any communication or monitoring/control functions.
To place the gateway into storage mode:
- Remove the external power to the gateway.
- Press and hold the pairing button for 15 seconds until the LED indicators no longer illuminate.
- To exit storage mode, apply external power to the gateway.
Troubleshooting
This section describes how to troubleshoot common errors that may be encountered.

Gateway LED indicators
This section describes the five LED indicators that offer details about the
gateway’s wireless and NMEA2000 (National Marine Electronics Association)
communication status.
- If the D-2 input is asserted, the LED indicators remain illuminated when the associated function is not halted.
- If the D-2 input is de-asserted, the LED indicators flash once every four seconds.

holding the pairing button for 15 seconds until the LED indicators no longer

Disposal
Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins, wherever
possible. Consult a local recycling center or specialist dealer for details
about how to dispose of the product in accordance with the applicable disposal
regulations.
STATEMENT OF LIMITED WARRANTY
We warrant to the original retail purchaser that Dometic Marine USA Inc. DBA
Dometic (hereafter referred to as Dometic) products have been manufactured
free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is effective for
two years from date of purchase, excepting that where Dometic products are
used commercially or in any rental or income producing activity, then this
warranty is limited to one year from the date of purchase.
We will provide replacement product without charge, for any Dometic product
meeting this warranty, which is returned (freight prepaid) within the warranty
period to the dealer from whom such product was purchased, or to us at the
appropriate address. In such a case Dometic products found to be defective and
covered by this warranty, will be replaced at the option of Dometic, and
returned to the customer.

Return procedure
Prior to returning product to Dometic under warranty, obtain a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) claim number.
Be sure to label the returning product with the:
- name and address of the sender
- RGA number
Address the returned good as follows and include the RGA number.
