Product Usage Instructions
Charging Your Tune
Connect the USB charging cable to the USB-C charging port (18) on the back of
your Tune and plug the other end into a power source. The charging LED
indicator (17) will light up to indicate that the device is charging. Once the
battery is fully charged, remove the charging cable.
Turning Your Tune On/Off
To turn on your Tune, short press the ON/OFF key (3). It will power on in the
last-used mode. If it is the first time powering on your Tune, it will
automatically go to DAB radio mode. To turn off your Tune, short press the
ON/OFF key (3).
Navigating Menus
To navigate through menus, long press the INFO/MENU key (8). Use the next (10)
and previous (11) keys to scroll through the menu options. Short press
ENTER/SCAN (9) to select an option or enter a submenu. Short press BACK (6) to
return to the previous menu.

Q: Can I place lit candles near the unit?
A: No, you should not place naked flame sources, such as lit candles, on or near the unit. -
Q: Can I clean the product with solvents or abrasives?
A: No, you should only use a clean, damp, soft cloth to clean this product. Do not use abrasives or solvents. -
Q: How long should I charge the battery?
A: Never charge your battery for more than 6 hours. Over-charging will reduce battery life and may cause overheating and catastrophic failure. -
Q: What should I do if my Tune hangs or freezes?
A: In the rare event that your Tune hangs or freezes, insert a thin object such as a pin or paper clip into the RESET hole (16) and press until you hear a click. Your Tune will switch off. Press the ON/OFF key (3) to switch your Tune back on again.
Introduction
The i-box Tune is a stylish and easy-to-use upright portable DAB/DAB+ and FM radio. The DAB+ radio function offers you crisp and clear audio quality at the touch of a button and automatically searches for all available radio stations, displaying them on the large LCD display – so you know exactly which one you’re listening to. If you prefer to play your own selection of music the Tune also offers playback via Bluetooth and AUX IN. While the built-in 2,200mAh rechargeable lithium battery and handy carrying strap, make it easy to listen to your favorite tracks and stations from anywhere around the home.
Caring for your Radio
Important safety information. Please read these instructions fully before operating your radio.
- Do not place naked flame sources, such as lit candles on or near the unit.
- Do not expose to dripping or splashing liquids. Objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must not be placed close to or on the unit.
- The unit should not be exposed to direct sunlight, very high or low temperatures, moisture, strong magnetic fields, microwaves, or dusty environments.
- Always leave sufficient space around the unit for ventilation, do not cover it.
- Do not use abrasives or solvents to clean this product. Use only a clean, damp, soft, cloth.
- Never attempt to insert wires, pins, or other such objects into the vents or openings of the unit, except for the reset hole (16).
- Do not disassemble or modify the unit, there are no user-serviceable parts.
- If the unit is damaged in any way or malfunctions do not use it. Consult a qualified service engineer.
- This product contains a built-in lithium-ion battery. Improper use can cause the battery to catch fire or explode causing serious or fatal injury. Always charge in a cool place out of direct sunlight, allowing good air circulation around the product. Once the battery is fully charged, remove it from charge. Charging Your Tune
Before charging the Tune, please read the warnings concerning charging lithium batteries on page 3. Your Tune has a 2,200mAh built-in, non-user replaceable, lithium battery. To charge your Tune, plug the USB cable (supplied) into a powered USB port and the USB-C into the USB-C charging port 18. For best results, the first time you charge the Tune, let it charge for 3-5 hours until fully charged. This battery icon is displayed when the Tune is charging. The charging LED indicator 17 lights red during charging. The LED will turn off when the unit is fully charged. This icon indicates a full charge, this icon indicates a low charge. -
Turning Your Tune On/Off
Short press the ON/OFF key (3) to switch on your Tune into the last used mode, if you are powering your Tune for the first time it will automatically go to DAB radio mode. To turn off your Tune, short press the ON/OFF key (3). -
Navigating Menus

Change Operating Language
The default is English. Five other operating languages are also available: Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, and Nederlands. -
Setting the Time and Date
The time and date are configured to set automatically when the Tune first enters either DAB or FM mode and receives a signal (depending on your location). If you want to set the time or date manually. -
Audio Mode Selection
Short press the MODE key (5) repeatedly to switch between audio modes.
DAB Radio Mode
Full Scan
The first time the Tune is switched to DAB mode it will perform a full scan to
compile a list of all currently available DAB stations. To ensure as complete
a list as possible make sure the antenna 13 is fully extended.
Station List
The LCD shows the name of the station playing and program information. Short
press the next (10) and previous (11) keys to scroll through the list of
stations found during scanning, the short name will be shown. Press ENTER/SCAN
(9) to listen to the station shown.
Saving a Station to the Preset List
To save the station playing to one of the 30 available DAB preset slots, long
press the PRESET (4) key, scroll to an empty preset slot or overwrite an old
one, press the ENTER/SCAN (9) key to store.
Playing a Saved Preset
Short press the PRESET (4) key, scroll to the preset you want to play, and
press the ENTER/SCAN (9) key to play.
DAB Radio Menu
The options are full scan, station list, manual tune, DRC, prune, or system.
Manual Tune
If you know the frequency of a station you can search for it using this
option, press ENTER/SCAN (9) to play.
Dynamic Range Control (DRC)
DRC can make quieter sounds easier to hear when your radio is used in a noisy
environment. This function is only available for some DAB stations.
Prune
Set prune to “Yes” to clear stations with no signal reception from the DAB
station list when you next perform a full scan.
FM Radio Mode
Auto Scan
Long press the ENTER/SCAN (9) key to auto-scan for all receivable FM stations.
Stations found will be saved to the preset list. To ensure as complete a list
as possible make sure the antenna 13 is fully extended.
Auto Scan for Next Available Station
Long press the / (10/11) keys to tune to the next available station.
Manual Tuning
Short press the / (10/11) keys to fine-tune the frequency.
Saving a Station to the Preset List
To save the station playing to one of the 30 available FM preset slots, long
press the PRESET key (4) then short press the next/previous / (10/11) keys to
scroll to an empty preset slot or overwrite an old one. Press ENTER/SCAN (9)
to store.
Playing a Saved Preset
Short press the PRESET (4) key to enter the preset menu, then short press /
(10/11) to scroll to the preset slot you want to play. Press ENTER/SCAN (9) to
play.
FM Radio Menu
The options are scan settings or system.
Scan Settings
By default, the FM scan stores all available stations, even if the signal is
weak and the audio quality is poor. It is best to use the “Strong stations
only” option to ensure the stations found have a clear signal, follow the
steps below.
Bluetooth Mode
Use the MODE key (5) to select Bluetooth mode, the screen will flash “Not Connected” to indicate that the Tune is in pairing mode. Your Tune will automatically search for the last connected device. Connect a compatible device as shown below. When your device is connected you will hear a chime.
- You don’t need to re-pair. The Tune will automatically reconnect with your device when they are in range and both are turned on.
- To disconnect your device, long press the ENTER/SCAN key (9). You will hear a chime when your device has been disconnected successfully. Your Tune is now ready to pair with a new device.
Playback Controls
Use your device to control playback or use the Tune’s controls for the
following options:
- Previous track (11)
- ENTER/SCAN Play/Pause track (9)
- Next track (10)
- Use the volume dial (7) to control the volume. You can also use your device to change the volume. Adjust the volume on both your device and the Tune for optimum sound.
AUX IN Mode
Use the MODE key (5) to select AUX IN mode. Connect any audio device to the
3.5mm AUX IN port 15 on the back of your Tune. Use your device to control and
select audio and use a combination of the volume on your device and the Tune
to adjust for optimum sound.
System Menu
The options are sleep, time, backlight, language, factory reset, and software
version.
Sleep Function
In any audio mode, you can use the sleep timer function to set a period after
which your Tune will switch off automatically. The available options are:
Sleep off, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 minutes. When the sleep function is in use,
this icon and the remaining time are displayed.
Backlight
Timeout
Select how long until the display enters the dim level. The available options
are: 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, 120, 180 seconds or on (the display will not
dim).
On Level
Select the brightness of the display when on.
Dim Level
Select the brightness of the display when dimmed.
Time and Date Settings
By default, the time and date will auto-update, for other time settings or to set the time/date manually see below.
Set Time/Date Manually
Follow the steps below to set the time and date manually.
Auto Update
By default, the Tune will auto-update the time/date using a DAB or FM time
signal. You are given the choice of using “Update from Any”, “DAB” or “FM” for
auto-update, or of using “No Update”. We recommend you select “Update from
Any” if you want to auto-update as the availability of DAB and FM time signals
can vary from region to region.
Set Display Format
Choose between 12-hour or 24-hour clock display formats. The default is
24-hour.
Set Date Format
Choose between DD-MM-YYYY (the default) or MM-DD-YYYY.
Factory Reset
Reset the Tune to the factory default settings. This will delete all settings,
the station list, and presets.
Software Version
View the current software version.

Check that the antenna is extended for maximum signal strength and improved reception.
| Adjust the antenna direction to improve the signal. Move the unit closer to a window.| Check that the unit is not close to microwaves, fluorescent lights, or other equipment which may cause interference.
No sound
| Check if the volume is turned down. Increase the volume.| Check that the

1. Insert a thin object for example a pin or paperclip into the RESET hole (16) on the back of your Tune.
2. Short press the ON/OFF key (3) to turn the Tune back on.
