Safety Instructions
Cautions
- Before using the soldering station, the following basic measures must be observed to avoid electric shock or injury to life or fire and other hazards.(This soldering iron must use our special heating core)
- To ensure personal safety, this soldering iron station must use parts and accessories approved or recommended by the original manufacturer, failure to do so will result in serious consequences!
- The soldering iron station must be repaired only by an electrical technician or a person designated by the factory!
- The temperature range of the soldering iron tip when the power is turned on is: 200-480°C (392-896 ° F)
To prevent burns or fire hazards, please strictly observe the following precautions:
- Do not touch the metal parts near the soldering iron tip.
- Do not use the soldering iron station in the vicinity of flammable objects.
- Inform other people in the workplace that the soldering iron head is extremely hot and may cause dangerous accidents, and that the power should be turned off during breaks or after completion of work.
- When replacing parts or soldering the iron tip, turn off the power, unplug the power supply, and wait for the iron tip to cool to room temperature.
To avoid damage to the soldering station and to work in a safe environment, the following precautions should be observed:
- Do not use the soldering iron tip for work other than soldering.
- Do not tap the workbench with a soldering iron to remove residue, as this may damage the soldering iron.
- Do not get the soldering station wet or use it with wet hands.
- In the process of soldering, fumes are produced, so the workplace should have good ventilation equipment.
- During the use of the soldering station, ensure good ventilation and avoid actions that could potentially harm others or damage property.
Soldering Iron Station Structure

Notes on Replacing the Heating Core
- Before replacing the heating core, please be sure to unplug the power supply and wait for the soldering iron head to cool to room temperature before operation.
- Please use this brand 1370S heating core (230V) for replacement.
- Please refer to the schematic of the product handle for the following steps on how to replace the heating core.
- Unscrew the plastic nut, and then remove the soldering iron head sheath and the soldering iron tip.
- Unscrew the covered plug for the soldering iron and remove the heating core, soldering iron handle PCBA components, and insulation tube. Set them aside.
- Unplug the old heating core and install the new heating core in its place.
- After completing the installation of the new heating core, reassemble it by following the reverse steps mentioned above (ensure proper installation of the insulation tube).
- Non-professionals can seek assistance from professional maintenance personnel for operation.
Operating Instructions for the Soldering Iron Station
- Turn the temperature control knob to the 350°C position.
- Connect the power, turn on the power switch, and observe the panel indicator LED lighting up.
- Set the temperature control knob to the desired temperature position.
Cautions
A low temperature will slow down the flow of solder, while too high a
temperature will scorch the flux in the solder, resulting in a thick white
residue or a burnt board. Setting the soldering iron temperature correctly for
the specific soldering point ensures a good soldering joint. The proper
temperature of the soldering iron tip for soldering varies depending on the
manufacturer’s production process. Examples are as follows: A low temperature
will slow down the flow of solder, while too high a temperature will scorch
the flux in the solder, resulting in a thick white residue or a burnt board.
Setting the soldering iron temperature correctly for the specific soldering
point ensures a good soldering joint. The proper temperature of the soldering
iron tip for soldering varies depending on the manufacturer’s production
process.
Examples are as follows:
Sleep Function of Soldering Iron
- When the soldering iron handle is not in use, place it on the iron stand. By default, it enters the sleep state after 10 minutes of inactivity.
- The sleep time cannot be adjusted. After entering sleep mode, the LED light flashes every 3- 4 seconds for 0.2-0.3 seconds. When in sleep mode, the soldering iron stops heating.
- To exit hibernation mode, simply pick up the handle from the soldering iron holder, and the system will immediately resume operation.
The Cause of the Soldering Iron Tip Not Being Able to Hold Tin
- The temperature of the soldering iron tip exceeds 400°C.
- The soldering iron tip is not properly coated with tin on its surface for usage.
- Lack of flux in soldering, desoldering, repairing, and Patch soldering operations. 4)Wipe the tip of the soldering iron on a sponge or rag with high sulphur content, or on a dry sponge or rag.
- The soldering iron tip is exposed to organic plastic materials, silicone grease, and other chemicals
- Use of impure and low tin-content solder
Maintenance & Care of Soldering Iron
Daily Cleaning
- The handle of the soldering iron, as well as the housing of the main unit, can be cleaned with a cloth and a small amount of liquid cleaner.
- Do not immerse the main unit in fluid or allow fluid to flow into the housing.
- Do not use any solvent to clean the housing!
New Soldering Iron Tip
Please use our 900M Series soldering iron tips for replacing soldering iron
tips. Whenever you use a new soldering iron, please follow the steps below to
prolong its life.
- Turn the temperature control knob to the low-temperature position and turn on the power switch.
- After reaching a temperature of 200° C, apply fluxed solder wire to the tinplated surface of the soldering iron tip.
- After heating continuously at 200° C for five minutes, adjust the temperature control knob to the appropriate temperature for use.
- Once the proper temperature is reached, you can start using the soldering iron station.
Maintenance of soldering iron tip
The replacement soldering iron tips are made of alloy and will have a long
lifespan if used correctly.
- Before shutting down, apply an appropriate amount of solder to the tinned surface of the soldering iron tip and wipe it before soldering.
- Avoid keeping the soldering iron tip at excessively high temperatures for a prolonged period as it can cause the plating layer on the tip’s surface to crack.
- During soldering, avoid applying excessive pressure or rubbing the soldering point with the soldering iron tip. This process does not change thermal conductivity but can damage the tip.
- Do not clean the iron tip with rough materials or files.
- If the surface is oxidized and does not take solder, it can be carefully cleaned using a 600-800 grit gold steel cloth or a solution like a propanol Heat it to 200° C immediately afterwards to prevent oxidation due to high temperature.
- Do not use fluxes that contain high levels of chlorine or acids. Only use synthetic resin or activated resin fluxes.
- Note: At least once a week, remove the soldering iron tip for cleaning and remove any foreign objects from the sleeve.
Replacement of soldering iron tip
To remove and replace the soldering iron tip, first, unplug the soldering
station and allow the tip to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, remove the
tip and clean any accumulated oxide dust from the sleeve fixture. Next, insert
the new soldering iron tip and tighten the sleeve using moderate hand force.
Note: Be careful not to tighten excessively as it may damage the heating
core.
Calibration of temperature
- Replacing different models of soldering iron tips may result in temperature deviations that require proper calibration.
- The “CAL” hole on the panel can be finely adjusted and calibrated by the customer using an external tool. This adjustment should be performed outside the case.
- When calibrating the temperature, it is recommended to use a professional thermometer for accurate measurements.
999M series sol9srieg tips
- The soldering iron head is only tin-plated on the bevel part.
- 900M outer diameler is 6.5mm.
- Suitable for 936/937 soldering tables and various resistance ceramic heating
