Connections

Connect and relay the audio signal using the following steps:

1. Refer to the INSTALLATION section for detailed instructions on hanging the subwoofer using the 16 threaded anchor points for M8 screws/eye bolts.

Installation on the floor:

1. Place the subwoofer on a flat and stable surface.

If you use the loudspeakers outdoors avoid spots exposed to bad weather conditions.
• The external wiring connected to speaker output terminals requires installation by qualified personnel only. Once the equipment is installed, prevent access to the connectors to unqualified personnel. INTRODUCTORY OVERVIEW

• The IS series of subwoofers have been designed with the specific needs of installers in mind. The compact dimensions make them ideal for situations that require unobtrusive sound reinforcement; available in black or white versions, the elegant design of these subwoofers makes them a perfect fit in any commercial or institutional setting. Connection is quick and easy thanks to the Eurobock (Phoenix) connectors.

IS8S

• The IS8S is equipped with an 8″ woofer (VC 2″).

MECHANICAL AND ACOUSTIC FEATURES DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT

• The IS subwoofer series has been designed with particular attention to optimizing the overall dimensions.
• The IS8S weighs 10 kg, while the IS12S weighs 15 kg.

MECHANICAL FEATURES

• The subwoofers can be easily suspended thanks to the 16 threaded anchor points provided for M8 screws/eyebolts. For further details, refer to the INSTALLATION section of this manual.

PROTECTION AGAINST SOLID OBJECTS AND LIQUIDS (IP RATING)

• The speakers are protected against the ingress of solid objects and liquids with a rating of IP32 as defined by EN 60529 in both horizontal and vertical positions.
• The cables connecting the speakers to the amplifier must have a diameter of at least 8mm (0.31 inch).
• Failure to comply with these installation prescriptions could adversely affect the declared protection ratings.

CONNECTIONS

CONNECTING AND LINKING THE AUDIO SIGNAL

• The audio input and link to another subwoofer are connected via Euroblock (Phoenix) connectors; the connectors are protected under a metal panel that is easily removed by unscrewing the four screws securing it to the cabinet.
• Connect the audio source (e.g., from an amplifier or another subwoofer/speaker) to the INPUT terminal using the provided female connectors, respecting the polarity markings next to the connectors (positive to positive, negative to negative).
• The audio signal can be similarly linked to another subwoofer: connect the LINK output of the subwoofer to the INPUT terminal of the next subwoofer respecting the polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative).

MAIN ACCESSORIES AND EXAMPLES OF USE FLOOR INSTALLATION

• The IS8S and IS12S subwoofers are designed to stand on the floor in either a horizontal or vertical position.
• To prevent the subwoofer from sliding around, it is supplied with rubber feet that can be affixed to the side of the cabinet in contact with the floor.

INSTALLATION SUSPENDED FROM EYEBOLTS

• The subwoofer can be suspended using M8 eyebolts (not supplied) fitted in place of the fixing screws on the sides of the unit.
• Do not remove both fixing screws and use only one eyebolt for each suspension point.

CAUTION!

• Installation types other than those illustrated here are not allowed.
• Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel.
• The fixings used by the installer must be suitable for the type of wall to ensure stability and safety.
• Always check that placement is stable and that the installation is not a hazard to people, animals, or things.

TROUBLESHOOTING

The subwoofer does not produce any sound

1. Check that the audio signal input is connected correctly
2. Check that the connection cables are not damaged
3. Check that the audio source is powered on and clearly shows an output signal
