Standalone PC Install
For a standalone PC install, you have the following options:
- Purchase one license and install/activate it on a single PC. This allows one copy of the software to operate on one PC, using one database at a time.
- Purchase one full license and additional PC licenses. Install/activate the software on each individual PC. This allows each PC to use one copy of the software, using one database at a time.
- Purchase one license and install this version on a network server. After successfully installing on a server, run/install the Netsetup file on each workstation. This allows one copy of the software to operate at any one time, on one workstation using one database.
- Purchase one license and install this version on a network server. After successfully installing on a server, apply additional license keys (additional licenses), and then run/install the Netsetup file on each workstation. This allows more than one copy of the software to operate at any one time on multiple workstations as directed by the number of additional licenses. However, only one database can be accessed at any one time (multiple databases can be accessed).

Can I have more information on the different types of installs on PATGuard 3?

Standalone PC Install (requires one serial number)
Customer can purchase one licence and then install/activate on a single PC. This allows one copy of the software to operate on one PC, using one database at a time. -
Standalone PC Installs (requires two or more serial numbers – same for multiple standalone PCs)
Customer can purchase one full licence plus additional PC licences and then install / activate on each individual PC. This allows each PC to use one copy of the software to operate, using one database at a time. -
Network Install – option #1 (requires one serial number)
Customer can purchase one licence and then install this version on a network server, after successfully installing on a server the customer can run / install the “Netsetup” file on each “Workstation” This allows one copy of the software to operate at any one time, on one Workstation using one database -
Network Install – option #2 (requires one serial number and additional network licences)
Customer can purchase one licence and then install this version on a network server, after successfully installing on a server the customer can apply additional licence keys (additional licences) and then run / install the “Netsetup” file on each “Workstation” This allows more than one copy of the software to operate at any one time on multiple Workstations as directed by the number of additional licences, however, only one database can be accessed at any one time (multiple databases can be accessed).
