ASSUMBLY INSTRUTIN

The disposal of used electrical and electronic equipment (applies to European Union countries and other European countries with separate waste-collection systems). SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

INTENDED USE: The HS11 curling iron is used for hair modelling.

OPERATION

Before first use, please thoroughly read the entire manual. It is recommended to keep this instructions manual for future reference.

  1. This equipment can be used by children of at least 8 years of age and by people with reduced physical and mental capabilities and lack of experience and knowledge of the equipment, if supervision or instruction is provided on how to use the equipment safely so that the associated risks are understood. Children should not play with the equipment. Unsupervised children should not carry out cleaning or maintenance of the equipment. Do not allow the cord to hang where a child can grab it. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the equipment.
  2. To provide additional protection, it is advisable to install a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual trip current not exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. A specialist electrician should be consulted in this respect.
  3. The connection cable must be connected to a socket with the parameters specified in the instructions.
  4. Always disconnect the appliance from the mains by pulling on the plug and not on the power cord.
  5. Do not immerse the cable or the appliance in water.
  6. Do not use in the open air.
  7. Do not expose the device to sunlight, hot surfaces or moisture.
  8. When the appliance is used in the bathroom, unplug it from the mains after use, as the proximity to water is a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
  9. Do not leave the appliance in use unattended.
  10. Switch off the appliance before unplugging it from the mains.
  11. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply when finished working.
  12. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
  13. Disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning.
  14. Do not use if the power cord is damaged, if the appliance has fallen or has been damaged in any other way. Have the unit repaired by an authorised service centre; see the warranty card andwww.eldom.eu for information. Any upgrade or use of non-original spare parts or components of the appliance is prohibited and compromises the safety of use.
  15. The appliance may be used only with the originally supplied accessories.

CLEANING AND MAINTANANCE

  • Unplug the appliance from the mains and wait until it has cooled down completely before cleaning.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water.
  • The housing of the appliance and the power cord can be cleaned with a soft, dry or damp cloth.

WARRANTY

  • This appliance is designed for domestic use only.
  • It cannot be used for professional purposes or for other than the intended use.
  • Improper use will nullify the guarantee.

Preparing the appliance

  • Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, make sure that the switch (1) is set to is in position “0” and the temperature regulator (7) is in position “OFF”.

  • Place the appliance on a flat and heat-resistant surface so that it rests on the support (3).

  • Once the appliance has been connected to a power supply with the parameters specified in the instructions, switch on the appliance switch (1) – the indicator light (2) will illuminate.

  • Turn the regulator (7) to the right and set the desired temperature. The indicator light (4) will start blinking and will be on continuously when the set temperature is reached.

  • To reduce the temperature, turn the control (7) to the left and set the temperature.

  • To switch the appliance off, turn the control (7) to the left to the “OFF” position and then slide the switch (1) to the “0” position.
    Hair modeling

  • Hair must be washed and thoroughly combed before straightening. The hair must be slightly damp or dry.

  • By pressing on the lever (5), open the curling iron clamp, insert a strand of hair a few cm wide and start modelling the hair.

  • During modelling, you can hold the appliance by the non-heating tip (4).

  • Do not hold hair in the appliance for more than 20 seconds at a time.

  • Only comb the hair after it has cooled down.

  • The operating temperature set by the user tends to change (lowered) in contact with damp hair. The appliance continuously adjusts the temperature.
    AUTOMATIC SWITCH-OFF

  • For safety, the appliance has an automatic switch-off function.

  • If the appliance is not used continuously for more than 60 minutes, it will automatically switch off.

  • To continue using the appliance after this time, turn the control (7) to the “OFF” position and then set the appropriate temperature.
