• Air suspension spacer kits allow lifted trucks the use of air spring while still keeping them at their desired height.

Air Spring Spacer Kit

• Thank you and congratulations on the purchase of an air suspension spacer kit.
• Please read the entire manual prior to starting the installation to ensure you can complete it once started.

IMPORTANT
This air suspension spacer kit is designed to be used ONLY where the distance of the upper and lower mounting locations of the air spring kit have been increased due to changing of the axle block or spring packs.
DO NOT install spacer kits if this dimension has not changed. Less suspension travel will result if installing a spacer kit that is larger than the amount which the upper and lower bracket have changed.

• Photos in this manual are for reference only. They were taken using the universal air spring kit. All procedures will be the same for all air spring kits.
• Consult the air spring installation manual provided with your air spring kit or contact your point of purchase for further information.

INSTALLATION OF 2″ AIR SPRING SPACER KIT

• For 4″ & 6″ Kits, please proceed to Step #2
• Install the two 3/8″ – 24 x 1″ button head capscrews (HP1307) and 3/8″ lock washers into the non threaded hole of the 2″ spacer (from the inside facing out).
• Place the spacer end with button head capscrews onto the bottom (the end without the air inlet port) of the air spring and tighten the capscrews to 20 ft-lbs, 27 N•m using a 7/32″ Allen key.
• PLEASE NOTE: It is not necessary to install the lower roll plate of the air spring kit.
• Repeat this procedure on the second spacer / air spring.
• Proceed to Step #3.

INSTALLATION OF 4″ & 6″ AIR SPRING SPACER KIT

For 2″ Kits, please skip this step and proceed to Step #3

• Install the two 3/8″ – 24 x 1″ Hex head cap screws and 3/8″ lock washers in to the non threaded hole of the spacer from the inside facing out.
• Place the spacer and fasteners on to the bottom (the end with out the air inlet port) of the air spring, using a 9/16″ universal joint and extension tighten the cap screws to 20 ft-lbs, 27 N•m.
• PLEASE NOTE : It is not necessary to install the lower roll plate of the air spring kit.
• Repeat this procedure on the second spacer / air spring.
• Proceed to Step #3.

ATTACHING SPACER TO LOWER AIR SPRING BRACKET

• Position the air spring with the air inlet port towards the direction as instructed in your air spring installation manual.
• Place the lower bracket onto the air spring spacer and align the mounting holes.
• Install the two 3/8″ – 24 x 1″ hex head caps crews, lock and flat washers through the lower bracket to the threaded holes of the spacer.
• Loosely fasten the assembly together. Do not tighten the caps crews fully until final adjustment is performed as instructed in the air spring manual.
• PLEASE NOTE: the 3/8″ – 24 x 1″ Hex head caps crews are supplied in the air spring spacer kit. Do not use the 3/8″ – 24 x 7/8″ caps crews supplied in the air spring kit unless it uses counter sunk caps crews, then it is permissible.

INSTALLING ROLLPATE AND AIR FITTING

• Turn the assembly over so it is standing on the lower bracket. Install the upper roll plate and air fitting.
• Install the air supply fitting into the top of the air spring using thread sealant.

INSTALLING UPPER BRACKET TO AIR SPRING ASSEMBLY

• Using the 3/8″ – 24 x 7/8″ caps crews, lock and flat washers supplied in the air spring kit, loosely fasten the upper bracket to the assembly.
• Do not tighten the caps crews fully until the final adjustment is performed as instructed in the air spring installation manual.

Repeat Steps 3-5 for the other air spring.
