REMOVAL OF STOCK SYSTEM
STEP 1:
Remove mid-section brace.
STEP 2:
There are 2 cut locations. Steps 2-4 show the cut location to separate the
rear muffler section from the middle silencer section.
The rear muffler silencer will remain on the vehicle. Removal of the entire
system may also help when cutting. STEP 3:
Locate the cut point. There are dimples marked at 3 separate locations on
each tube. These can be seen just aft of the most rear silencer
You will be cutting at the CENTER punch mark as shown.
Protect the rear silencer from falling STEP 4:
Cut through exhaust pipes at the marked point with a suitable tool Ensure
the cuts are perpendicular to the pipes STEP 5:
The second cut location is just aft of the secondary cats. This requires a
measurement prior to cutting.
Measure twice, cut once. STEP 6:
On the driver side, measure 2.5” from the rear side of weld as shown.
This measurement is offset towards the rear of the vehicle. STEP 7:
On the passenger side of the vehicle, measure 4.5” from the rear hanger
weldment as shown. This measurement is offset towards the rear of the
vehicle.
Once both pipes are properly marked, cut perpendicular to tube. STEP 8:
Un-bolt hanger on passenger side and remove the cut section.
DINAN MIDPIPE INSTALLATION
STEP 1:
Transfer hanger to Dinan system. STEP 2:
Using the single wide clamps, slide onto stock tubes. Slide the Dinan
mindwipe system onto to stock system at the cut-point. STEP 3:
Re-attach the hanger to the vehicle and align midpipe in cavity. STEP 4:
Ensure that there is a gap between the pipe and hanger. This gap may be
small but there must be one.
Snug fit the clamps. Do not fully tighten at this time as small adjustment may
be needed. STEP 5:
If using a stock rear muffler – slide the double-wide clamps onto the tubes
at the rear of the system.
If installing a Dinan rear muffler slide the single-wide clamps (included with
the Dinan rear muffler) onto the tubes. STEP 6:
If using a stock rear muffler – center the double-wide clamps evenly
between the rear muffler section and the Dinan midpipe section in orientation
shown.
If installing a Dinan rear muffler – slip the Dinan pipes over the outlets of
the midpipes. STEP 7:
Ensure all hangers are angled towards the front of the vehicle throughout
the exhaust system.
STEP 8:
Check hanger angles, clearances and tip location.
Once the positioning is to your liking:
- Tighten all clamps
- Re-Install brace.
- Enjoy!
