Technical Description

The SPS-725 Multimedia Speaker System (MSS) with Bluetooth is designed to play music, sound games, movies, etc. It has a built-in power amplifier, allowing it to be connected to virtually any audio source. The MSS also has a built-in Bluetooth wireless signal transmission protocol. The package includes a remote control (RC).

BUYER RECOMMENDATIONS

• Unpack the device carefully. Make sure there are no accessories left in the box. Check up the de-vice for damage; if the product was damaged during transportation, address the firm which carried out the delivery; if the product functions incorrectly, address the dealer at once.
• Check up the package contents and availability of the warranty card. Make sure the warranty card has a shop stamp, a legible signature or the seller’s stamp and purchase date, and the goods number corresponds to that in the warranty card. Remember: in case of warranty card loss or discrepancy of numbers you forfeit the right for warranty repairs.
• Do not switch on the speaker system immediately after you bring it into a room from environment with negative temperature! After unpacking, the speaker system should be kept in conditions of room temperature for at least 4 hours.
• Before installing and using the speaker system, read this Manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
• Shipping and transportation equipment is permitted only in the original container.
• Does not require special conditions for realization.
• Dispose of in accordance with regulations for the disposal of household and computer equipment.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

CAUTION RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK DO NOT OPEN

• To avoid electric shock, do not open the MSS and do not perform repairs by yourself. Service and repairs should be performed only by qualified specialists in an authorized service center. The list of authorized service centers is available on www.sven.fi.
• Do not allow the circuit of wires (including the grounded ones) between the speakers, on the power amplifier or the ground, for it causes damage to the power amplifier output stage.
• Do not touch the MSS power cord plug pins for 2 seconds after unplugging it from the mains.
• Do not put foreign objects inside the holes of the MSS.
• Protect the MSS from high humidity, water and dust.
• Protect the MSS from heating: do not place it closer than 1 m from a heat source. Do not ex-pose it to direct sunlight.
• Do not place any open flame sources on or close to MSS.
• Do not place the MSS in poorly ventilated areas. Leave an air gap of 10 cm or more. When operating the MSS, do not put any devices on it, do not cover it with cloth or other objects preventing it from cooling.
• Do not use any chemical agents for cleaning. Clean it with dry soft cloth only.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

SPS-725 Multimedia Speaker System (MSS) with Bluetooth is designed to play music, sound games, movies, etc. The MSS has a built-in power amplifier allowing to connect it to virtually any audio source. MSS has a built-in Bluetooth wireless signal transmission protocol. Remote control (RC) is included.

Active speaker panels

1. MODE : switch mode button (pressed long); Play/Pause button (long pressing in Bluetooth mode); Mute (pressed short in AUX mode); Disconnecting from the sound source (double pressing in Bluetooth mode); Reset to default Bass/Treble settings (triple pressing).

Remote control (Fig.3)

1. STBY : ON/OFF power switch button (ST-BY Mode). b MUTE: mute mode.
2. Reset to default Bass/Treble settings.

5. Previous track (in Bluetooth mode).
6. Next track (in Bluetooth mode).
7. Play /Pause button (short pressing in Player and Bluetooth mode);
8. Mute (pressed short in AUX mode); Disconnecting from the sound source (long pressing in Bluetooth mode).
9. TR +/- : Treble control button.
10. BASS – : Bass decrease button.
11. BASS + : Bass increase button.

Notes. Use the remote control at an angle no more than 30 degrees, no more than 7 meters away from the IR receiver. Direct the RC at the IR receiver display on the control panel. If the RC isn’t working, check batteries and replace the  discharged batteries with new ones. Remove the  batteries from the remote control if the device is left un-used for a long period of time (more than a week).

PREPARATION AND OPERATION Speaker placement

• Place the speakers symmetrically to the listener at least one meter away.
• Place the speaker system far away from supersensitive monitors and TV sets, as insignificant image distortion in these devices is possible.

MSS сonnecting and control
SPS-725 Multimedia Speaker System can be connected to virtually any audio source: laptop/mobile device, PC sound card, etc. (see connection diagram in Fig. 4).

• Before making any connections, make sure that the MSS is unplugged. Connect the active speaker with the passive one using the audio cable.

• To connect the MSS to a PC, mobile device, first plug the cable end of mini-jack 3.5 mm to mini-jack Ø 3.5 mm signal cable (included) to the РС audio AUX input of the active speaker, then plug the mini-jack of the signal cable to the the computer sound card LINE OUT port or to the mobile device audio OUT-PUT (see connection diagram in Fig. 4).
  Note. Sound quality is directly affected by correctness and re-liability of the connection of cables. It is recommended that cables included in the package contents of the MSS be used.

• Insert the power cord plug into the mains outlet.

• Turn on the MSS power using the ON/OFF switch (g, ON) on the active speaker rear panel. Then, turn on the audio source.

• Turn on the speaker by long pressing a button on the control panel of the active speaker or use button a on the remote control.

• Select a desired signal source pressing long MODE a button on the control panel or press l button on the remote control, indicator will show the selected input.

• Adjust the bass and treble level using buttons TR+/- i, BASS +/- j, k on the remote control (Fig. 3).

• After completing the MSS operation, mind to switch it off using the ON/OFF switch (g, OFF position), and unplug the power cord from the socket.

Bluetooth mode

• For the signal transmission in this mode it is necessary first to interconnect the MSS with a signal source. For this press the MODE a button the middle indicator will flash in blue. The MSS will go to the search mode. Then on the signal source (telephone, smartphone, etc.) choose the search mode of devices with Bluetooth. The name of the MSS “SVEN SPS-725”, will be dis-played on the  signal source screen, with  which  you need to  intercommunicate*. Select this device and the “connect” command.
• It is possible to control the player of a signal source from the remote control using button f, g, h or using buttons a, b, c on the control panel.

AUX MODE
To turn on AUX mode press a button on the control panel or button l on the RC, the bottom indicator will light in red.

ST-BY Mode

• To enter this mode, press a button on the remote control or a button on the speaker. The top indicator will light in red.
• To exit this mode, press a button on the remote control or a button on the speaker. Mute Mode
• Press the MUTE b button on the remote control to select the MUTE mode. Press this button again to leave the MUTE mode, or use volume control buttons on the speaker or on the Remote control.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If none of the above methods can solve the problem, please seek professional advice at your nearest service center. Never attempt to repair the product yourself.
