Warning!
Read instructions before use and keep for future reference. Only use this
product for its intended purpose, keeping food warm or hot. Only use this
product on stable and level surfaces. Ensure all fasteners and components are
intact and securely tightened before each use.
Do not operate near other flammable or explosive gases, liquids, or dust. Only
use clean water to fill the water pan, never use without water, and do not
fill more than 3/4 full. Only heat with methanol or ethanol gel, never liquid
fuels which may spill and cause injury. Do not leave flame unattended during
use. Handle with care to avoid burns during and after use. Do not place any
other object against heated surfaces. Do not use if this product becomes worn
or damaged. Repair or replace damaged components before further use.
Operation
- Fit three legs (D) onto a base plate (F), securing them with three 5mm Phillips bolts (E).
- Fit a round frame (C) onto the top of these legs, securing it with six sets of 4mm Phillips bolts (A) and hex caps (B).
- Fill one water pan (L) with clean water until it is about 75% full. Place the pan onto the round frame, releasing it carefully to ensure the frame holds it securely.
- Fill a food pan (K) with the dish to be heated or kept warm. Place it over the water pan, fully covering the water pan so that vapour is unable to escape during heating.
- Fit a metal cover (H) onto a knob (G) and mount them onto the top of a lid (J), securing them with one 14mm Phillips bolt (I). Place the assembled lid over the food pan.
- Open a fuel can (M) by turning the handle on its cap. Fill the can with either solid methanol or ethanol gel (never a liquid fuel) and light it. Wearing hand protection, carefully place the burning can into the central platform of the base plate beneath the water pan. For outdoor use, cover the flame on the side(s) from which wind is blowing using nonflammable materials, such as aluminium foil. Never place items on the heated chafing dish and never place flammable or explosive materials nearby.
- Adjust the heat of the dish as needed. Further opening the fuel can will heat the water more quickly but shorten the life of the solid fuel. Narrowing the can’s opening will heat the water more slowly but further extend the life of the fuel.
- Close the fuel can to stop heating between uses or allow the heating to cease automatically when the fuel runs out.
Maintenance
- Make sure the flame is put out after each use. Allow all surfaces to cool before performing cleaning or any other maintenance.
- Clean this chafing dish and its components with standard detergents. Do not use abrasive cleaners or caustic chemicals. Dry completely.
- Periodically check the components of this dish for any looseness, wear, or damage. Tighten, repair, or replace any problematic parts before further use.
- If this product will not be used for an extended period of time, clean and dry all items before storing in a cool dry place inaccessible to children.
