WARNINGS
EYE SAFETY
This headlamp is classified in risk group 2 (moderate risk) according to the IEC 62471 standard.

OPERATION

FIRST USE. Locked mode prevents HeadLamp 800 Pro from accidentally turning on. Unlock your unit by holding the power button for 8 seconds.
Unit will flash 1x to confirm.
BUTTONS & LIGHTING MODES. Press the front power button on top of the HeadLamp 800 Pro lens to toggle between front lighting modes. Press and hold this button to dim and brighten. The large button on the right side of the rear battery module turns on/off burst mode. Hold this burst button for > 5 seconds to toggle between regulated and constant mode. The small button on the left side of the rear battery module toggles between rear lighting modes. Press and hold this button to dim or brighten the rear red
light. When lights are off, holding either front or rear power button for >8 seconds will place the headlamp into locked mode.
TURNING OFF. Cycle through modes on front or rear to reach off. Wait >1.5 sec from last interaction to turn off front and rear from any mode.
DIMMING. During dimming, max and min brightness indicated by two flashes at 0.2 sec. Press and hold front power button to dim up and down.
Press and hold the small button on the left side of the rear battery to dim the rear red light.
BURST MODE. Burst mode provides 30 seconds of 800 lumens and then returns to previous brightness level and previous lighting mode. Activate this mode by pressing the large button on the right side of the rear battery module. Burst can only be activated if the light module light is ON. To end burst mode prior to 30 seconds, press any button. Burst mode cannot be activated if the headlamp is in low power modes or if thermally locked out. Activating burst multiple times in close succession can lead to thermal lockout.
MODES. HeadLamp 800 Pro operates in 2 modes: regulated and constant.
In regulated mode, HeadLamp 800 Pro will automatically dim to extend runtime. In constant mode, the HeadLamp 800 Pro will hold constant lumens until the unit enters reserve mode.
INDICATORS. Battery indicator on the battery module unit consists of 4 white LEDs. Constant mode is indicated on the battery module with 1 blue LED indicator.
MEMORY. If turned OFF/ON, HeadLamp 800 Pro remembers the last used mode. If turned OFF/ON HeadLamp 800 Pro remembers the last used brightness setting, but may be automatically lowered to avoid hazardous conditions.
LOW POWER MODES. HeadLamp 800 Pro has a pre-reserve and reserve mode. In pre-reserve mode, any lighting mode above 100 lumens drops to 100 lumens. The light that is on flashes 4x every minute for 10 minutes to indicate low power, and will enter reserve mode after 10 minutes. Brightness will be limited to 5 lm in reserve mode.

ADJUSTMENT & TILT

BAND ADJUSTMENT. Push buckles closer together to loosen straps. Pull buckles apart to tighten straps.
LENS TILT. HeadLamp 800 Pro has four tilt modes. Total tilt angle (from 1 to 4): 60 degrees.

CHARGING

RECHARGING BATTERY. HeadLamp 800 Pro comes with 3ft (0.9m) micro-USB to USB-A charging cable, allowing it to be charged from a portable charger, wall outlet, or USB port. Plug cable into micro-USB slot on the bottom of rear battery module to charge. Ensure port is covered when not in use to maintain water resistance.
BATTERY LEVEL INDICATOR. F our (4) battery indicator LEDs are located on the battery module. During no charge connection, pressing any button will illuminate the battery indicators and display the battery level.
RUN-FOREVER CABLE. H eadLamp 800 Pro has charge thru operation.
Charge thru operation allows the headlamp to operate while charging using provided 3ft (0.9m) USB charge cable. This also allows HeadLamp 800 Pro to operate beyond normal temperature and low battery limits.

MAINTENANCE & SAFETY

BATTERY SAFETY. When the unit has exceeded maximum or minimum safe temperature limits, the unit will enter a temporary thermal lockout. This condition is indicated with 3 red flashes.

WARNINGS

  • This product delivers professional-level light output and can generate enough heat to damage or melt some materials. Please place the unit in lock-out mode when not in use. Exercise caution when touching the lens as it may be warm. Do not stare directly into the beam or shine it directly into others’ eyes. Ensure no hair or fabric is obstructing the lens while light is on. Intense light can damage your eyes or the eyes of those around you. BioLite is not responsible for the consequences, whether direct, indirect or accidental, or for any other type of damage arising or resulting from the use of its products.

  • Adult supervision is required when product is in use by children under the age of 12.

  • To reduce the risk of strangulation, do not place the headlamp straps around your neck.

  • Inspect your headlamp for proper operation prior to using.
    This headlamp is classified in risk group 2 (moderate risk) according to the IEC 62471 standard.

  • Do not stare directly at the lamp when lit.

  • The optical radiation emitted by the lamp can be dangerous. Avoid aiming the lamp’s beam into another person’s eyes.

  • Risk of retinal damage from the emission of blue light, particularly in children.
