INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

By applying the unique composite sorption material AQUALENTM in combination with the best activated carbon, the filter jug with either and AQUAPHOR MAXFOR+ / B25 cartridge securely and irreversibly entraps organic compounds, iron and heavy metals and other types of harmful impurities, as well as removing redundant water hardness, preventing scale build up. If you have fitted an AQUAPHOR MAXFOR+ Mg / B25 Mg filter, this is designed to enrich water with magnesium and has additional health benefits. AQUALEN fiber contains small amounts of silver and is applied for the suppression of bacterial growth (patent of the USA 6,299,771).

The jug’s upper funnels have the following volumes: Compact – 0.9 l; Glass – 1 l; Time – 1.1 l; Onyx – 1.2 l; Amethyst, Jasper – 1.4 l.
Follow the procedures in Fig.1 in order to replace the filter cartridge and for optimum cleaning results.
Depending on the jug model the jug can be equipped with a SLIDING or FLIP-TOP lid, which allows the consumer to fill the jug, without having to remove the lid completely.
SLIDER LID: To fill the funnel with water, slide the lid of the jug to the open position (Fig. 2) and fill with water
FLIP-TOP LID: Click on the button and bring the center of the lid to a vertical position (Fig. 3) and fill with water.
For best results, please ensure you replace the filter cartridge as shown by the indicator.
CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT COUNTER
Amethyst, Glass, Jasper, and Onyx jugs are fitted with a mechanical water meter that allows you to monitor the remaining life of the cartridge. Compact and Time jugs do not have a counter. The mechanical counter built into the jug lid clearly shows the remaining lifespan of the jug cartridge. The counter will indicate when you should replace the filter cartridge. The counter is triggered each time you open the lid of the jug and is synchronized with the filter life.

USE OF THE COUNTER

When installing a new filter cartridge, turn the counter arrow to the ‘beginning’ position which corresponds to 100% filtration capacity (Fig. 4). During use of the counter, the arrow will rotate counterclockwise and indicate the remaining
resource of the cartridge (in percent). When the arrow points to the red segment, the cartridge needs to be replaced (Fig. 5).
ATTENTION! Depending on the quantity of impurities in water, the cartridge life can vary.
Remember that the counter helps to define the remaining life of the replacement cartridge regarding removal of dissolved impurities from the water, corresponding to the local Sanitary Regulations. If the local water doesn’t correspond to the sanitary regulations, and there are a lot of mechanical impurities (sediment, increased turbidity, etc.) mechanical clogging of the cartridge can occur earlier than the normal lifespan of the cartridge.

OPERATING RECOMMENDATIONS

CLEANING. In order to clean the jug, rinse the lid and funnel with warm soapy water before use, and after each replacement of the cartridge. The water purifier is applied for post-treatment of tap water. In case you haven’t used the water purifier for a long period of time (for example, during a vacation) discard the product water in your jug and filter two additional jugs of water before use. Use only fresh-filtered water. Please do not drop your water jug. Do not set it near heat producing appliances and do not expose it to freezing temperatures.
PLEASE NOTE! Aquaphor’s Amethyst jug model comes with ergonomic non-slip feet. The feet are enclosed in the packaging and should be fitted into the dedicated slots at the bottom of your jug.

MANUFACTURER WARRANTIES

The warranty period of the water purifier operation (except for the replacement filter cartridge) is 24 months starting from the date of sale. The lifetime of the water purifier (except for the replacement filter cartridge) is 5 years starting from the date of sale. The capacity (resource) of the replacement filter cartridge MAXFOR+ / MAXFOR B25 is 200 liters (52 US gallons) of tap water. The lifetime of the replacement filter cartridge can vary depending on the quality of influent water (on quantity of impurities, on redundant water hardness). After the lifetime expiration, the cartridge should be replaced.
The optimal filtration mode is up to 10 l / day. The storage period of the water purifier before operation is 5 years in the temperature range from +5 °C to 40 °C (41 °F to 104 °F). If you have any claims regarding work of the water purifier, please contact the seller or manufacturer. Claims regarding the water purifiers having visible images are not accepted.
The manufacturer is entitled to upgrade the design of the water purifier without making a prior note in the certificate.
Utilization of the product should be conducted in accordance with environmental, sanitary and other requirements established by local, state and federal standards in the field of environmental protection, sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population.
