Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Throttle Cable Installation

  1. Remove the ball stud from the ball joint (item 1) and fasten it to the throttle lever.
  2. Thread the body of the ball joint (item 1) onto the throttle cable.
  3. Attach the bracket (item 2) to the cable and locate it in the appropriate position on the engine.
  4. Adjust the ball joint on the cable end so that the throttle stop rests lightly, not tightly, against the idle adjustment screw.

Step 2: Shift Cable Installation

  1. Remove the ball stud from the ball joint (item 1) and fasten it to the shift lever.
  2. Thread the body of the ball joint (item 1) onto the shift cable.
  3. Attach the bracket (item 2) to the cable and mount it on the transmission.
  4.  Adjust the ball joint on the cable end so that the neutral detent in the shift lever is in exact synchronization with the neutral detent in the control unit.

Step 3: Throttle and Shift Cable Check

  1. Ensure that both throttle and shift cables are attached to the control unit as described in the instructions for the control unit.
  2. Check the throttle linkage and shift linkage to ensure that they move freely.
  3. Set the engine idle to run smoothly between 600 and 800  rpm.
  4. Set the shift handle in the neutral position and the throttle handle in the closed position.
