Product Features

This In-Ceiling Housing is a mounting adaptor that is designed to mount the smart dome camera in a built-in style on a double-layer ceiling. (For compatible models, please visit our website.)

Installation Precautions

  • Select an installation position or place that can endure more than 4 times the total weight of the installation structure.
  • At least 250mm or more of spare height is required above the CEILING BOARD.
  • Be sure to secure the SAFETY WIRE to avoid a product fall.
  • Use the provided screws to install the mount bracket and camera.
  • CEILING BOARD must be able to sustain the weight of at least 10 kg.

Installation

  1. Attach the TEMPLATE on the CEILING BOARD and drill a guided hole.Hanwha-Vision-SHP-1680FPW-In-Ceiling-Housing-fig- \(3\)

  2. Remove the CABLE HOLE CAP and the HEX NUT with a tool such as a coin.

  3. Fix the ANCHOR BOLT onto the concrete CEILING, and secure the SAFETY WIRE to the ANCHOR BOLT as below:

  5. Insert the provided SAFETY BRACKET into the ANCHOR BOLT.

  6. Tighten two NUTs (“N2”,” N3”) onto the ANCHOR BOLT.

  7. Hook and fix one end of the SAFETY WIRE onto the SAFETY BRACKET.

  8. Hook and fix the other end of SAFETY WIRE onto the HOUSING as shown below:

  9. The ANCHOR BOLTs and nuts are optional and not included in the product package.

  10. ANCHOR BOLTS must be able to sustain a weight of at least 30 kg.

  11. If you proceed without following the instructions in the manual, that is if you work with the camera body already attached from the beginning, the safety wire could exceed its limit and be broken when the housing is accidentally dropped, which could result in an accident.

  12. In the case that the pipe is to be connected to the External Cable hole, the pipe must be inserted within a depth of 15mm or less How to install (HCP-6320/HCP-6320A/QNP-6230/XNP-6320/XNP-6321)

  13. As shown in the figure, use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four SCREWS from the HOUSING and detach the BOTTOM BRACKET.

  14. Refer to the User manual of the camera to separate the camera and INSTALL BASE.

  15. Use the four SCREWS removed in Step 5 to join the INSTALL BASE of the camera to the HOUSING. (When joining it, check the installation direction guides as shown in the figure below before installing it.)

  16. Press the SNAP-FIT on the INSTALL BASE to open the hinged door, and insert the external connection cables into the HOUSING through the cable hole.

  17. Refer to the User manual of the camera that you want to install, and prepare the necessary cables for the camera connection.

  18. Push the HOUSING inside the CEILING through the CEILING hole, and tighten the SCREWs (x3) clockwise to fix the HOUSING on the CEILING. (Adjust the height of the bracket to secure the housing to the ceiling.)

  19. Using a power tool for installation could cause product damage. If you are going to use a power tool, the torque must be 30 Nm or less. Ensure that the HOUSING is firmly secured to the CEILING BOARD.

  20. Connect the cable to the terminal block on the hinged door. Please refer to the “Camera Wiring Interface Board” in the user manual. After cabling, please close the hinged door.

  21. Insert the provided FIXING BRACKET into the camera bezel.

  22. Pull out the SAFETY WIRE from the INSTALL BASE and then hook it to the camera. THESAFETY WIRE is coiled inside the INSTALL BASE. Carefully attach the camera body to the INSTALL BASE aligning the Installation
    direction guides. After attaching the camera body, turn it in the direction of the arrow as shown in the figure.

  23. Connect the screw on the FIXING BRACKET to the HOUSING Attach the CASE TOP to the HOUSING, and tighten the four SCREWS on the COVER to fix it to the HOUSING.

  24. Insert the SCREW CAPS into the screw holes How to install (XNP-6120H) To connect to the camera, insert external connection cables through the CABLE HOLE on the housing to the inside of the HOUSING as shown in the figure.

  25. Refer to the User manual of the camera that you want to install, and prepare the necessary cables for the camera connection.

  26. Push the HOUSING inside the CEILING through the CEILING hole, and tighten the SCREWs (x3) clockwise to fix the HOUSING on the CEILING. (Adjust the height of the bracket to secure the housing to the ceiling.)

  27. Using a power tool for installation could cause product damage. If you are going to use a power tool, the torque must be 30 Nm or less.

  28. Ensure that the HOUSING is firmly secured to the CEILING BOARD.

  29. Remove the dome cover of the camera after loosening the three bolts by turning them counterclockwise using a Torx L wrench.

  30. Remove the safety wire that is connected to the dome cover and camera body, and connect it inside of the dome cover as shown in the figure.

  31. Connect the required cable to the terminal on the camera. Please refer to the User manual for details on camera installation.

  32. Connect and organize the cable to ensure that it is not damaged or trapped when the PTZ rotation part is rotated.

  33. If waterproofing in the connected cable jacket is poor, it may cause leaks. Make sure you tape it tight and thoroughly.

  34. The butyl rubber tape for waterproofing can extend at least twice as long as the original length.

  35. Use the three TAPPING SCREWS provided to join the CAMERA BODY to the BOTTOM BRACKET inside the HOUSING. (When joining it, check the installation direction guides as shown in the figure below before installing it.)

  36. Use the Torx L wrench to join the DOME COVER of the camera. DOME COVER

  37. Attach the CASE TOP to the HOUSING, and tighten the four SCREWS on the COVER to fix it to the HOUSING.

  38. Insert the SCREW CAPS into the screw holes.
