Instructions

  1. The soft loop (anchor end) of the Rescue Pick-Off Strap should be connected to the rescue/descent device* carabiner that is attached to the rescuer’s Front/Sternal D-ring (load end).
  2. When the rescuer has descended and is close to the fallen worker, the rescuer should connect the rescue strap’s D-ring to the fallen worker’s Dorsal D-ring with an ANSI Z359.12 compliant carabiner (not included).
  3. The length of the rescue strap can be adjusted from 14” to 38”. Slide the D-ring buckle to tighten or loosen the strap until the desired length is achieved.
  4. Once the fallen worker is safely attached to the rescuer, the lifting wheel on the rescue/descent device can be utilized to raise the fallen worker slightly to allow the rescuer to safely remove the SRL or lanyard still attached to the fallen worker. They can then descend together to the next safe working surface and continue rescue/recovery efforts.
