MOUNTING THE SCOPE

To achieve the best accuracy, your scope must be mounted properly. Follow these steps:

  1. Before tightening the scope mount, look through the scope in your usual shooting position. Adjust the scope (either forward or backward) until you find the furthest point forward that provides a full field of view, ensuring maximum eye relief.
  2. Rotate the scope in the rings until the reticle is perpendicular to the bore and the elevation adjustment is on top.
  3. Tighten the mounting screws. Do not over-tighten as this could damage the scope and impact the performance.
Make sure there is a slight, even gap on both sides of the rings.

WARNING: IF THE SCOPE IS NOT MOUNTED FAR ENOUGH FORWARD, ITS REARWARD MOTION MAY INJURE YOU DUE TO THE RECOIL.CVLIFE-AAA99191100-LPVO-Rifle-Scope-

EYEPIECE FOCUSING

The eyepiece is designed for quick and precise focusing. It adjusts faster than your eye can compensate for any inaccuracies.
To focus, look at a distant object for several seconds without using your scope. Then, shift your vision quickly and look through the scope at a plain background. Adjust the fast-focus eyepiece by turning it clockwise or counterclockwise until the reticle pattern appears sharp and clear before your eye can refocus. Re-check the image with a quick glance after adjusting.

WARNING: NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN THROUGH THE SCOPE (OR ANY OTHER OPTICAL INSTRUMENT). IT MAY PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR EYES.

PRE-ZEROING

  1. Pre-zero sighting can be done with a scoping guide or a shot shaver which can be obtained from your firearms dealer.
  2. With the scope mounted set the zoom to mid-power and rest the rifle on a stable support.
  3. Look through the bore from the breech at a target 50 yards away. Adjust the buttstock so the target is centered in the bore.
  4. Without moving the rifle, turn the windage and elevation adjustment dials with your fingers in the direction you want to change the bullet’s point-of-impact (up/down, left/right).

NOTE: IF A LARGE AMOUNT OF WINDAGE AND ELEVATION ADJUSTMENTS ARE NEEDED TO BORE SIGHT, MAKE HALF OF THE SCALES AVAILABLE ADJUSTMENTS AT A TIME FOR THE WINDAGE AND ELEVATION.

BORE SIGHTING

Bore sighting your riflescope will allow you quickly and more accurately “zero in” or “sight in” the riflescope
to the correct shooting distance. It is best done using a CVLIFE Bore Sighter. You will always need to shoot
a test group of shots after you bore sight your riflescope with the rifle. It will reduce wasting ammunition when targeting your rifle during test shooting.

ZEROING

The final sighting-in of your rifle should be done with live ammunition, based on your expected shooting distance. For short-range shots, zero in at 100 yards. But, for long-range shooting at big games, experienced shooters often zero in about three inches high at 100 yards. Use three-shot groups to average the point of impact.

To make adjustments:

  1. Remove outer turret caps.
  2. Turn the adjustment knob in the appropriate direction: Up/Down or Left/Right, as indicated by the arrows.
  3. Follow the directional arrows and turn the knobs in the direction you wish the bullet’s point of impact to moveCVLIFE-AAA99191100-LPVO-Rifle-Scope-fig-3

  1. Remove outer turret caps.
  2. Turn the adjustment knob in the appropriate direction: Up/Down or Left/Right, as indicated by the arrows.

ILLUMINATION ADJUSTMENTS

Our 1-6×24 LPVO riflescope features 5 levels of red and 5 levels of green illumination. You can adjust the lighting intensity and color by turning the knob clockwise or counterclockwise.

  1. Unscrew the cap of the Illumination Adjustment and remove it.
  2. Put a new CR2032 battery in the compartment with the positive(+) side facing up.
  3. Screw the cap back into place.

Note: To extend battery life, turn off the illumination when not in use.

MAINTENANCE CLEANING

To clean the exterior of the scope, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth.
Note 1 : Blow away any dust or grit on the lenses before wiping the surfaces.
Note 2: Use your breath or a very small amount of water or pure alcohol can help remove stubborn stains.

Lubrication

All components of the riflescope are permanently lubricated, so no additional lubricant should be applied.
Note : Other than resetting the turret, do not attempt to disassemble any components of the riflescope, as doing so may void the warranty.

Storage

If possible, avoid exposing your CVLIFE riflescope to direct sunlight or any high-temperature location for an extended period of time.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Frequently, sighting-in issues believed to be scope-related are actually due to mounting problems. Make sure that you are using the correct base and rings in the proper orientation, and that the base screws and rings are securely tightened. Insufficient windage or elevation adjustment range may indicate problems with the rings, base, base alignment, base mount holes drilled in the rifle’s receiver, or barrel/receiver alignment.
