Check before Power-On:
- The product is firmly installed at a clean place that is well-ventilated and easy-to-operate.
- The PE, AC input, and communication cables are connected correctly and securely.
- Cable ties are intact, routed properly and evenly.
- Unused ports and terminals are sealed.
- The internal of the equipment is clean and tidy, with no dust, dirt, and construction leftovers.
- The paint outside of the equipment is intact. If there is damage, please fill the paint immediately to prevent corrosion.
- The switch of the equipment and its upstream switches are all disconnected.
- The equipment’s input voltage and frequency are within its operating voltage and frequency range.

Installation:
There are multiple installation options available for the Smart
Communication Unit:
Mounting on the Wall:
- Drill holes on the wall according to the provided dimensions.
- Attach the mounting plate to the wall using suitable screws.
- Place the Smart Communication Unit onto the mounting plate and secure it with the provided lock.
Mounting around the Pole:
To mount the unit around a pole:
- Wrap the mounting straps around the pole and secure them tightly.
- Attach the Smart Communication Unit to the mounting straps using suitable screws.
Mounting on the Bases Vertically:
To mount the unit vertically on bases:
- Drill holes on the bases according to the provided dimensions.
- Attach the Smart Communication Unit to the bases using suitable screws.
Opening the Cabinet Door:
To open the cabinet door:
- Locate the lock on the cabinet door.
- Unlock the cabinet door using the provided key or mechanism.
Electrical Connection:
The electrical connections of the Smart Communication Unit are made through
waterproof connectors. The following cables are used:

DO/DI/AI/PT100/PT1000 Cable
The equipment reserves “DO”, “DI”, “AI”, “ETH” and “PT100/ PT1000” waterproof
connectors to route the corresponding signal cables. For signal cable
specification, wiring and memory card installation, please refer to Ezlogger
3000U User Manual.

- Only use Switch 2 and 4 when the equipment is in PLC communication.
- Only use the switches within the red dotted line when the equipment is in PLC communica-tion and connected to a double split transformer.
