We are pleased to offer firmware updates for the VSX-LX305 and VSX-LX505 AV Receivers to ensure the best possible performance. Firmware updates can be installed either via USB or Network.

03/30/2023 Update

This update addresses the following:

  1. Minor bug fixes and stability improvements.
  2. Adds ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) information to OSD (On-Screen Display) Info/Status/One Shot display for input signals.
  3. Adds Auto Phase Control Plus fixed timing to OSD Info/Status display for output signals.

09/09/2022 Update

This update addresses the following:

  1. Improves stability of Bluetooth Transmitter function.
  2. Raises the upper limit of the Dirac delay time from 20 msec to 50 msec.
  3. Adds recovery process when Network Error occurs in Dirac.
  4. Minor bug fixes and stability improvements.

05/18/2022 Update

This update addresses the following:

  1. Improves mic curve characteristics of Dirac live for the mic used for Dirac live calibration. If already calibrated, then please recalibrate Dirac live after this update.
  2. Fixes center speaker sound of input signal/devices such as Apple TV 4K absent, when the dialog enhancement changed to +1 or more from 0 during Auto Surround/Straight Decode mode, if the setting of the center speaker available.
  3. Minor bug fixes and stability improvements.

This update addresses the following:

  1. Chromecast built-in version update to 1.52GM2.
  2. Improves reception capability in certain TuneIn Radio stations.
  3. Fixes the issue that cannot playback Deezer in the condition of not log-in state.
  4. Fixes the issue that Web Setup cannot be accessed depending on the measurement result of Dirac Live.

This update addresses the following:

  1. Virtual Remote, Limit Mode, and HDMI diagnostic functions have been added to the Web Setup Menu.
  2. Fixes the problem that the audio format of TIDAL playback becomes AAC.
  3. Fixes the problem of color corruption in Dolby Vision games on Xbox.
  4. Fixes a problem where the image would not be displayed when VRR was turned on for Xbox.
  5. Fixes the problem where High Bit Rate Audio such as Dolby TrueHD would not be output when 4K or 8K resolution signals were input.
  6. Fixes a problem where audio would not be output from the TV speakers when playing High Bit Rate Audio signals such as Dolby TrueHD in TV audio output mode.
  7. Fixes a problem with the HDMI diagnostic function Source Test.

Product Usage Instructions

Updating the Firmware via Network

You can update the firmware by connecting the unit to a network.
Follow these steps:

  1. Ensure your AV Receiver is connected to a stable network connection.
  2. Access the firmware update menu on your AV Receiver. This can usually be found in the settings or setup menu.
  3. Select the option to update the firmware via network.
