Chapter 1 About This Product
1.1 Schematic Structural Diagram

1.2 Description of Display
The following figure shows the information display on the LED screen of the Thermometer in normal detection state.
- Symbol of temperature
- Color-coded fever indication
- Object mode indication
- Ear mode indication
- Forehead mode indication
- Low-battery indication
- Measured value of temperature
Note:
The display shows all segments during an internal self-check when powered on.
When the battery icon “ ” display on the LED screen, the battery is low and needs to be replaced.
Chapter 2 Operation Instructions
2.1 Install two AAA batteries
Matching the minus (-) of battery to spring.
2.2 Take Temperature Reading of Forehead
- Press the measurement key “ ” to turn the thermometer on.
- Aim the probe of thermometer to forehead and press the measurement key “ ” for reading.
- Once a long-beep sounded, read the measured values of the temperature on the LED screen.
- Take the next measurement when a short-beep sounded.
2.3 Select measurement mode
- Default is forehead mode.
- With the device on, press the Mode key “ ” to select object ” ” / forehead “ ” /ear ” mode.
- Remove the probe cover to select ear mode “ ” (Hold the anti-slip handle on the probe cover and gently remove the probe cover parallel to the outside)
2.4 Description of Beep
- A long-beep means the complete of measurement.
- A short-beep means the automatic calibration is complete and the next measurement can be take (To ensure accurate measurements, the thermometer will perform a 10-second automatic calibration after each measurement, the thermometer will automatically locks and cannot respond to any operation during the time).
- Three short-beep means fever alarm.
2.5 Shut Down the Thermometer
- The thermometer will shut down automatically if no operation within 60-15 seconds.
- Press and hold the measurement key “ ” for 6 seconds to shut down.
2.6 Posture and Distance of Measurement
- Forehead mode: Aim the probe perpendicular to the center of forehead above eyebrows, At a distance of 0-1.2inch, otherwise, measurement will be inaccurate.
- Ear mode: Pulling the ear back (Pull the ear back and up if the child is over 1 year old), then aim the probe to the tympanic, otherwise, measurement will be inaccurate.
- Object mode: Aim the probe at the surface of the object at a distance of 0.5 to 2 inches.

2.7 Select °F or °C
- Open the battery cover, press the °F/°C Switch Key ” ” to select °F or °C symbol mode.
- Note: To aviod unwanted °F/°C switching due to accidental touch, the °F/°C Switch Key be designed to need to be press by a pointed object (such as the tip of a pen or the tip of the battery cover).
2.8 Viewing Recorded Readings
- Press the Memory/Silent Key “ ” to view recorded data with the thermometer off.
- Press and hold the Memory/Silent Key “ ” for 6 seconds to view recorded data with the thermometer on.
- Press the Memory/Silent Key “ ” to view the next recorded data (press the Measurement Key “ ” will exit and start the measurement).
2.9 Select Silent/Beep Mode
- Press the Memory/Silent Key “ ” to select silent or Beep mode with the thermometer on.
- Note: In silent mode the thermometer will flash to indicate the completion of measurement, automatic calibration or other operation
2.10 Tips to Getting a Accurate Reading
- Temperature ambient can interfere with the sensor, preventing an accurate measurement, so please keep the user and the thermometer in the space of same temperature for 30 minutes and then measurement.
- Before each use, it is recommended to clean forehead, ear canal and the sensor of probe, keep the sensor of probe and the measured area clean and dry (sweat and grease prevent accurate measurement).
- A lens of a clean sensor should be reflective and gleaming. If it looks not, should be cleaned by an alcohol swab or alcohol-soaked cotton swabs. Take a measurement after the alcohol completely dried (about 5 minutes).
NOTE: The sensor of probe is extremely sensitive. Any debris or grease on the lens of sensor might resulting in inaccurate measurements.
