Before using this appliance, carefully read the instructions for use and in particular the safety notes and warnings, which must be complied with. SAFETY NOTES

• After unpacking, make sure the appliance is intact, complete with all its parts as shown in the illustrative guide and with no sign of damage. If in any doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised service centre.

  • CAUTION! Remove any communication material such as labels, tags etc. from the appliance before use.
  • WARNING! Risk of suffocation. Children shall not play with the packaging. Keep the plastic bag out of the reach of children.

• This appliance must be used only for the purpose for which it was designed, namely as an air styler for home use. Any other use is considered not compliant with the intended use and therefore dangerous.

• Before connecting the appliance to the mains supply, make sure that the voltage and frequency indicated on the technical data of the appliance correspond to those of the mains supply. The rating is on the appliance or on the power supply unit, if any (see illustrative guide).

• This appliance can work automatically at a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• DO NOT use the appliance with wet hands, damp feet or barefoot.

• DO NOT pull the supply cord or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket.

• DO NOT pull or lift the appliance by the supply cord.

• DO NOT expose the appliance to humidity, to the effects of weather (rain, sun, etc.) or to extreme temperatures.

• DO NOT leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the power supply.

• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning or performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.

• If the appliance is faulty or malfunctions, switch it off and do not tamper with it. Contact an authorised technical service centre for any repairs.

• If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by an authorised technical service centre, to prevent all risks.

• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.

• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA (ideal 10 mA) is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
  WARNING! DO NOT use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

• This appliance shall not come into contact with water, other liquids, sprays, or steam. For any cleaning and maintenance operation refer to the instructions in the relevant chapter.

• This appliance must only be used on human hair.

• DO NOT use the appliance on animals or on wigs and hairpieces made of synthetic material.

• DO NOT obstruct the intake filter and always keep it free from dust and hair.

• See the external packaging for the characteristics of the appliance.

• Use the appliance only with the supplied accessories that are an essential part of the appliance.

USE

• WARNING! This appliance is not to be used if it has been dropped or if there are visible signs of damage.
• WARNING! DO NOT use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water. Never place the appliance into water.
• WARNING! Risk of fire. DO NOT use flammable products on hair or on the appliance.

USEFUL TIPS

• The experience you will soon acquire in using your air styler, will help you determine how long your hair will take to achieve the desired effect.
• Every time you use the appliance, make sure the hair is clean and without any trace of hairspray, hair mousse or gel.
• Always start from the nape of the neck, proceed on the sides and finish on the forehead.
• When using the styler or while it is heating or cooling, place the appliance on a smooth and heat resistant surface.
• When creating the hairstyle, be careful not to bring the air styler close to sensitive parts of the face, ears, neck or skin.
• After use, allow the air styler to cool down completely before putting it away.

PREPARING YOUR HAIR

• Wash hair as normal and comb to remove knots.
• Dry your hair and brush from the roots to the ends.

OPERATION

This styler works with air, which means it works according to the same principle of a common hair dryer: the hot air comes out from the main body and passes through the holes of the accessories. When using the styler or while it is heating or cooling, place the appliance on a smooth and heat-resistant surface.

Connect the air styler to the mains.

ACCESSORIES

Concentrator (11) : use this accessory immediately after washing your hair to remove excess moisture.

Curling tong (9):

• Take a thin lock of hair between your fingers; the thinner the lock, the tighter the curls.
• Act on the lever of the clamp and insert the tip of hair between the cylinder and the clamp itself.
• Release the clamp and wrap the strand around the tong.
• Switch the air styler ON.
• Wait for the lock to dry as desired before removing it from the tong by releasing the clamp.
• Finish off the style of the curl with your hands.

20 mm round brush (10)
Use this accessory to create a straight or soft wavy look.

• Take a thin strand of hair between your fingers, of around the same width as the brush.
• For a soft, straight style, switch on the styler and brush the strand from underneath, from root to tip.
• For a wavy result, wind the strand round the brush and switch on the styler.

USE
Set the air flow and temperature to the following levels with the (2) button: 0 = OFF

• 1= Medium air flow and Medium temperature
• 2= High air flow and high temperature
• *= Cold air shot

Move the button to this position to cool the air flow and hold your styling in place.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

• WARNING! Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning or performing maintenance.
• WARNING! Make sure all cleaned parts are completely dry before reusing the appliance.

Clean the appliance and the accessories with a damp cloth, when necessary. Do not use solvents or other aggressive or abrasive detergents. Otherwise, the surface could be damaged. Check the intake opening of the appliance regularly and remove all hair and dust.

NOTE: the more dust that is present in the environment where the styler is used, the more frequently the filter must be cleaned.

STORAGE

• WARNING! Risk of fire. Wait for the appliance to cool completely before storing it.
• WARNING! DO NOT wrap the supply cord around the appliance.
• WARNING! Store the appliance so that no object may accidentally go into and damage it.

DISPOSAL

• The packaging of the appliance is made of recyclable materials. Dispose of it by the environmental protection regulations.
• Under Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), the crossed bin symbol on the appliance or its packaging indicates that the appliance must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its useful life.
• The user must therefore take the appliance to an appropriate recycling centre for electrical and electronic equipment. Alternatively, instead of handling the disposal, the user can hand over the appliance to the retailer when a new, equivalent one is purchased. The user can hand over electronic products measuring less than 25 cm to retailers of electronic products having a sales area of at least 400 m2 free of charge and with no obligation to buy. Appropriate separate collection for the subsequent procedure for the decommissioned appliance for recycling, which includes treatment and environmentally friendly disposal helps prevent adverse effects on the environment and health and promotes reusing and/or recycling materials that the appliance consists of.

ASSISTANCE AND WARRANTY

The appliance is guaranteed for two years from the date of delivery. Evidence shall be taken as the date indicated on the receipt/invoice (provided it is legible), unless the buyer can prove that the delivery occurred later.
In the event of a defect in the product which existed before the date of delivery, appliance repair or replacement is guaranteed free of charge, unless one of the two solutions is disproportionate to the other. The buyer must notify an authorised Service Centre of the non-conformity within two months of discovering the defect.

The warranty does not cover any part that may be defective due to:

• a. transport damage or accidental drops,
• b. incorrect installation or an inadequate electrical system,
• c. repairs or alterations made by unauthorised personnel,
• d. poor or incorrect maintenance and cleaning,
• e. product and/or product parts subject to wear and/or consumables,
• f. failure to comply with the operating instructions and/or negligent use.
• g. Twisted or bent power cord due to negligence or pulled,
• h. Presence of hair in the fan,
• i. Failure to clean the cold air inlet filter causes the motor to overheat,
• j. Accidental falling during use,
• k. Obstruction at the cold air inlet and hot air outlet (front and rear grid),
• l. Use of non-original maintenance components or accessories,
• m. Use of chemical products to clean the appliance,
• n. Use of hairspray or other sprays during use.

The list above is purely indicative and not exhaustive and in any case, this warranty shall not cover all circumstances that cannot be attributed to manufacturing defects of the appliance.

• In addition, the warranty does not cover any case of improper use of the appliance and professional use.
• All liability is disclaimed for any damage that may directly or indirectly be caused to persons, property and pets as a result of failure to comply with all the instructions provided in the “Instructions and Warnings Booklet” regarding appliance installation, use and maintenance. This is without prejudice to any contractual warranty claims against the seller.

Methods of support
Appliance repairs must be carried out by an authorised Service Centre. If the faulty appliance is under warranty, it must be sent to the Service Centre together with a fiscal document that can confirm the date of sale or delivery.
