Parking Surveillance Cable Installation and Checking
- Connect the negative cable (black) to the vehicle ground cable. Make sure the cable is effectively grounded.
- Connect the red cable to a regular electric fuse.
- Connect the yellow cable to the ACC fuse. Do not reverse the connections.
Determining Regular Power VCC Interface (Red Cable)
- Use a multimeter to identify a 12V interface when the ignition is switched off.
- Connect the red VCC cable to this regular power interface.
Note: Some vehicle models have a delayed power-off function for the fuse interface. To ensure the VCC regular power interface is correct, follow these steps:
- Open the door when the ignition is switched off.
- Turn the door lock to the locked position.
- Use the key to lock the vehicle into a simulated locked state.
- Wait for 5 to 10 minutes before identifying an interface with a voltage of around 12V. (A known model: BMW 525)
Determining ACC Interface (Yellow Cable)
- Use a multimeter to identify 2 to 3 12V interfaces when the ignition is switched on, and remember their positions.
- Switch off the ignition and use a multimeter to measure these 2 to 3 interfaces.
- Connect the ACC cable (yellow) to an interface that has no voltage. If there is no such interface, repeat the previous step.
Comparison table of measured voltages
Vehicle State | Red Cable VCC | Yellow Cable ACC |
---|---|---|
Ignition off | Around 12V | 0V |
Ignition on | Around 12V | 12V |

To determine the ACC interface (yellow cable), please follow these steps:
-
Use a multimeter to identify 2 to 3 12V interfaces when the ignition is switched on, and remember the positions of these standby interfaces.
-
Switch off the ignition and use a multimeter to measure these 2 to 3 interfaces. Connect the ACC cable (yellow) to an interface that has no voltage. If there is no such interface, repeat the previous step.
Installation Notice
Please ensure that the cable connections are proper and correct.
Some HEVs and BEVs may not have ACC interfaces in the fuse box. Please confirm
the feasibility of installation with an engineer before proceeding.
- When the ignition is switched on, the dash cam should turn on normally.
