Some notes on TVOC values
If you have just received the machine, please read the manual carefully first. After long-term transportation, the m a chine is sealed in the packaging box, and the charge accumulates on the sensor, which will lead to too high value when it is just started up. Please be sure to put the machine in an outdoor ventilation environment for more than eight hours before use.
Please turn the machine on and put it in fresh air outside ventilate it for eight hours, then click Restore factory Set tings and enter the sensor calibration interface to automatically calibrate the sensor (it needs to be ventilated for 8 hours and calibrated in outdoor fresh air). Then you take the machine inside and do testing.
When the machine is just started up, it is entirely possible to have a high value at an instant, because the charge in the ambient air will accumulate on the sensor. After starting up, it takes a certain time to release the charge to stabilize the value. If it is not used for a long time, the machine needs to be placed in an outdoor ventilation environ mint for ventilation for a period of time to release charge before it can be used.
TVOC is a very broad definition. Many common substances and gases in life will affect the reading of TVOC When you turn on the machine in one place, TVOC displays high value, and then you immediately take the machine to an outdoor ventilated place and place it for a period of time, its value will definitely decrease.
If the TVOC reading of the machine is high when it is placed indoors, but TVOC reading drops when it is placed out doors in a well-ventilated place, it proves that there is no problem with our sensor, which is completely logical. Place to outdoor the reading drop but place to indoor reading rise proves that there must be air in the room that affects the sensor reading.
In addition, it may also be the place where the machine is placed, such as the cabinet, which has the influence of T VOC gas (the smell of the cabinet itself, aromatherapy, essential oil, disinfectant, flower fragrance, cosmetics, etc.).
If you think the value is too high, please immediately put the machine in an outdoor ventilated environment to se e if the value decreases. Generally, the value will return to normal after being placed outdoors for about two hours ( formaldehyde is about 0.02. TVOC and particulate matter are based on your local environment, but TVOC is usually lower outdoors than indoors, unless there are a lot of car exhaust, bakery and factory emissions around you). I f you haven’t recovered for two hours, try to put it for a longer time, Because the sensor will be calibrated according to the current ambient concentration.
If your indoor VOCS value has been exceeding the standard state, please open the doors and Windows for ventilation, at present, the most effective treatment of formaldehyde and VOCS method is only more ventilation to reduce the concentration of indoor pollutants. If the indoor doors and Windows are often closed, the concentration of in door pollution gas will reach a peak value.
You can compare the value measured by closing the door and window for more than 8 hours with the value measured after opening the door and window for ventilation.
We should avoid the interference of human factors when measuring, people’s breathing and perfume chemicals are also interference factors, so we should put the machine on the table, people away from it, choose a 20-minute measurement mode, and when the measurement time is up, you can walk over to observe the measurement results.
