FAQs

What are the differences in those types of door lock from ELAMOR Store?

ELAMOR provides 3 major models of smart lock: Digital (Basic), Bluetooth, and WiFi. The main difference is the unlocking methods. The digital lock offers code unlocking (Newer model has fingerprint reader). The Bluetooth lock can be used with code and Bluetooth-based APP unlocking. The WiFi lock provides code and WiFi-based APP unlocking (supporting remote and voice control). All of the ELAMOR locks preserve the physical key hole for emergency needs.

I want to purchase this ELAMOR lock for my new house front door, and what is the dimension of installation?

ELAMOR door locks fit most standard American doors, of which the requirements of dimension are as follow: 1. hole in the door is 2-1/8” (54mm); 2. backset is either 2-3/8” or 2-3/4” (60 or 70mm); 3. hole in the door edge is 1” (25mm); 4. thickness of the door between 1-3/8” and 2” (35mm and 50mm).

I am looking for a replacement for my old entrance door lock, is the ELAMOR lock able to replace it?

If your original door lock type is rim cylinder, mortise or integrated, the ELAMOR door lock would not fit the existed hole dimensions. Otherwise, the ELAMOR door lock could be installed if your door meets the following dimension: 1. hole in the door is 2-1/8” (54mm); 2. backset is either 2-3/8” or 2-3/4” (60 or 70mm); 3. hole in the door edge is 1” (25mm); 4. thickness of the door between 1-3/8” and 2” (35mm and 50mm).

How do I successfully program a code, and what if I keep getting a flashing red LED when I try to program my code?

The ELAMOR Lock only allows 6-10 digits code to be programmed as a user code, and only 6 digits code for the master code. You will have to change the default master code to a new one as your own master code before you begin to program your user codes. If you are following the quick setup guide to correctly program the code and still get a flashing red LED, please try to take out the batteries, reset the lock by pushing the Reset button, reinstall the batteries, and restart the process.

What types of batteries do I need to use for this smart lock?

We do recommend the brand new high-end alkaline AA batteries. The rechargeable batteries are not suitable for this lock. The batteries voltage should be at least 1.5V, and lower voltage might result in non-working issues.

Why does my lock work well for only several weeks or months, and the deadbolt mechanism start to jam, not fully engaged?

Sometimes I want to completely disable the auto-lock function, how can I do that?

Why does my Smart Life App shows my WiFi/Bluetooth smart lock is offline, and I cannot reconnect the lock to the App again?

Please follow the steps: 1) Press and hold the Set button for more than 5s, until you hear a long beep, plus the green light on. 2) Remove the batteries, and reinstall them. 3) Add the device in the APP again 4) Repeat the Step 1) to 3) multiple times Note: The network must be 2.4GHz configured, and the adding of the lock in the APP must be done within 2mins after you reinstall the batteries.
