Product Usage Instructions
Set Date and Time
- From the home screen, press the home key.
- Tap Date and time.
- Tap Set date.
- Adjust the date by tapping the day, month, and year, then rotating the bezel. When finished, tap Done.
- Tap Set time.
- Adjust the time by tapping the hour and minute values, then rotating the bezel. When finished, tap Done.
Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network
- From the home screen, press the home key.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Connections.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- If Wi-Fi shows Auto or Always off, tap Wi-Fi again. If set to Always on, skip to step 8.
- Tap Wi-Fi networks.
- Tap the Wi-Fi network you’d like to connect to.
- If prompted, enter the Wi-Fi password or tap Connect.
Adding an App:
- From the home screen, press the home key.
- Tap the Galaxy Apps icon.
- Tap Search.
- Enter the name of the app you’d like to download, then tap the search button on the keyboard.
- Tap the app you’d like to download from the list of search results.
- Tap Install.
- Read through the permissions required by the app. If you’re happy to continue, tap the tick.
Making a Phone Call
- From the home screen, press the home key.
- Tap Phone.
- Tap the Keypad or contact icon.
- Enter the phone number or tap the contact you’d like to call.
- Tap the call icon.
Sending a Text Message:
- From the home screen, press the home key.
- Tap Messages.
- Tap New message.
- Tap the contact icon or Recipient.
- Tap the contact you would like to send the message to.
- Type your message using the on-screen keyboard, then tap Send.
Customize the Watch Face
- From the home screen, press the home key.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Watch faces.
- You can scroll through the available watch faces by rotating the bezel or by swiping left to right.
- Tap the watch face you would like to use.
Enable or Disable NFC
- From the home screen, press the home key.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap NFC.
- Toggle the NFC feature on or off according to your preference.

PLEASE NOTE: that if your watch is connected to a mobile device, the date and time will be set automatically. You can only manually set the date and time if you’re using the watch without connecting it to a mobile device.
To manually set the date and time, you will need to:
- From the home screen, press the home key
- Tap Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Date and time
- Tap Set date
- Adjust the date by tapping the day, month, and year, then rotating the bezel. When you’re finished, tap Done
- Tap Set time
- Adjust the time by tapping the hour and minute values, then rotating the bezel. When you’re finished, tap Done

PLEASE NOTE: that if your Galaxy Watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi will automatically be turned off.
You can manually connect to a Wi-Fi network, using the steps below.
- From the home screen, press the home key
- Tap Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap Wi-Fi
- To manually connect to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi must be set to Always on.
- Tap Wi-Fi again if it shows Auto or Always off. If it is set to Always on, skip to step 8
- Tap Always on
- Tap OK
- Tap Wi-Fi networks
- Tap the Wi-Fi network you’d like to connect to

To add an app to your Galaxy Watch, you will need to:
- From the home screen, press the home key
- Tap the Galaxy Apps icon
- Tap Search
- Enter the name of the app you’d like to download, then tap the search button on the keyboard
- PLEASE NOTE: that for this example we have chosen Spotify.
- Tap the app you’d like to download from the list of search results
- Tap Install
- Some apps will require permissions from your watch. Read through these terms, and if your happy to continue, tap the tick
- Certain apps require you to install an associated app on your connected device. Ensure you’ve installed this app on your phone before continuing, then tap OK
- The app will be downloaded and installed on your watch
Making a phone call
PLEASE NOTE: calls need a 4G connection and are only available on the Galaxy Watch 4G
To make a phone call, you will need to:
- From the home screen, press the home key
- Tap Phone
- Tap the Keypad or contact icon
- Enter the phone number or tap the contact you’d like to call
- Tap the call icon
Sending a text message
To send a text message, you will need to:
- From the home screen, press the home key
- Tap Messages
- Tap menu, this may show as three dots
- Tap New message
- Tap the contact icon or Recipient
- Tap the contact you would like to send the message to
- Tap Next
- Tap the keyboard icon
- Type your message using the on-screen keyboard, then tap Send
Customise the watch face
To set a Wake-up gesture, you will need to:
- From the home screen, press the home key
- Tap Settings
- Tap Watch faces
- Tap Watch faces again
- You can scroll through the available watch faces by rotating the bezel or by swiping left to right
- Tap the watch face you would like to use
Enable or disable NFC
To enable or disable the NFC (Near Field Communication) feature, you will need to:
- From the home screen, press the home key
- Tap Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap NFC
- Tap NFC again to enable or disable NFC
Removing an app
To remove an app, you will need to:
- From the home screen, press the home key
- Tap and hold the app you’d like to uninstall
- Tap the remove icon above the app you’d like to uninstall
- Tap the tick icon to confirm removal of the app
Enable or disable the Notifications
PLEASE NOTE: that to enable or disable the notifications, you will need to use the Galaxy Wearable app.
To enable or disable the Notifications, you will need to:
- From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps
- Open the Samsung Wearable app on your phone
- This can be found in the Samsung folder if it was pre-installed. If you can’t find it in the Samsung folder, you may need to tap add apps before proceeding.
- Otherwise, you can download it from the Play Store or from the Galaxy Apps. For more information on how to download an app, please visit How do I manage my apps.
- Tap Notifications, you may need to scroll down for this
- Use the toggle to enable or disable the notifications
- You can now manage which Notifications you would like to see
Connecting a Bluetooth headset
PLEASE NOTE: that the Galaxy Watch can only connect to Bluetooth headsets and will need to be made discoverable before proceeding.
To connect a Bluetooth headset, you will need to:
- From the home screen, press the home key
- Tap Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap Bluetooth
- Tap BT Headset
- Your Galaxy Watch will scan for nearby Bluetooth devices
- Tap the device you wish to connect to
Adjust the in-call volume
To adjust the call volume, you will need to tap the volume icon while you’re on a phone call.
Use the rotating bezel to adjust the call volume.
