Product Usage Instructions

Set Date and Time

1. From the home screen, press the home key.
2. Tap Date and time.
3. Tap Set date.
4. Adjust the date by tapping the day, month, and year, then rotating the bezel. When finished, tap Done.
5. Tap Set time.
6. Adjust the time by tapping the hour and minute values, then rotating the bezel. When finished, tap Done.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network

1. From the home screen, press the home key.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Connections.
4. Tap Wi-Fi.
5. If Wi-Fi shows Auto or Always off, tap Wi-Fi again. If set to Always on, skip to step 8.
6. Tap Wi-Fi networks.
7. Tap the Wi-Fi network you’d like to connect to.
8. If prompted, enter the Wi-Fi password or tap Connect.

Adding an App:

1. From the home screen, press the home key.
2. Tap the Galaxy Apps icon.
3. Tap Search.
4. Enter the name of the app you’d like to download, then tap the search button on the keyboard.
5. Tap the app you’d like to download from the list of search results.
6. Tap Install.
7. Read through the permissions required by the app. If you’re happy to continue, tap the tick.

Making a Phone Call

1. From the home screen, press the home key.
2. Tap Phone.
3. Tap the Keypad or contact icon.
4. Enter the phone number or tap the contact you’d like to call.
5. Tap the call icon.

Sending a Text Message:

1. From the home screen, press the home key.
2. Tap Messages.
3. Tap New message.
4. Tap the contact icon or Recipient.
5. Tap the contact you would like to send the message to.
6. Type your message using the on-screen keyboard, then tap Send.

Customize the Watch Face

1. From the home screen, press the home key.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Watch faces.
4. You can scroll through the available watch faces by rotating the bezel or by swiping left to right.
5. Tap the watch face you would like to use.

Enable or Disable NFC

1. From the home screen, press the home key.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap NFC.
4. Toggle the NFC feature on or off according to your preference.

PLEASE NOTE: that if your watch is connected to a mobile device, the date and time will be set automatically. You can only manually set the date and time if you’re using the watch without connecting it to a mobile device.

To manually set the date and time, you will need to:

1. From the home screen, press the home key
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap General
4. Tap Date and time
5. Tap Set date
6. Adjust the date by tapping the day, month, and year, then rotating the bezel. When you’re finished, tap Done
7. Tap Set time
8. Adjust the time by tapping the hour and minute values, then rotating the bezel. When you’re finished, tap Done

PLEASE NOTE: that if your Galaxy Watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi will automatically be turned off.

You can manually connect to a Wi-Fi network, using the steps below.

1. From the home screen, press the home key
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Connections
4. Tap Wi-Fi
   • To manually connect to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi must be set to Always on.
5. Tap Wi-Fi again if it shows Auto or Always off. If it is set to Always on, skip to step 8
6. Tap Always on
7. Tap OK
8. Tap Wi-Fi networks
9. Tap the Wi-Fi network you’d like to connect to

To add an app to your Galaxy Watch, you will need to:

5. Tap the app you’d like to download from the list of search results
6. Tap Install
7. Some apps will require permissions from your watch. Read through these terms, and if your happy to continue, tap the tick
8. Certain apps require you to install an associated app on your connected device. Ensure you’ve installed this app on your phone before continuing, then tap OK
9. The app will be downloaded and installed on your watch

Making a phone call

PLEASE NOTE: calls need a 4G connection and are only available on the Galaxy Watch 4G

To make a phone call, you will need to:

1. From the home screen, press the home key
2. Tap Phone
3. Tap the Keypad or contact icon
4. Enter the phone number or tap the contact you’d like to call
5. Tap the call icon

Sending a text message

To send a text message, you will need to:

1. From the home screen, press the home key
2. Tap Messages
3. Tap menu, this may show as three dots
4. Tap New message
5. Tap the contact icon or Recipient
6. Tap the contact you would like to send the message to
7. Tap Next
8. Tap the keyboard icon
9. Type your message using the on-screen keyboard, then tap Send

Customise the watch face

To set a Wake-up gesture, you will need to:

1. From the home screen, press the home key
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Watch faces
4. Tap Watch faces again
5. You can scroll through the available watch faces by rotating the bezel or by swiping left to right
6. Tap the watch face you would like to use

Enable or disable NFC

To enable or disable the NFC (Near Field Communication) feature, you will need to:

1. From the home screen, press the home key
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Connections
4. Tap NFC
5. Tap NFC again to enable or disable NFC

Removing an app

To remove an app, you will need to:

1. From the home screen, press the home key
2. Tap and hold the app you’d like to uninstall
3. Tap the remove icon above the app you’d like to uninstall
4. Tap the tick icon to confirm removal of the app

Enable or disable the Notifications

PLEASE NOTE: that to enable or disable the notifications, you will need to use the Galaxy Wearable app.

To enable or disable the Notifications, you will need to:

1. From the home screen, choose Apps or swipe up to access your apps
2. Open the Samsung Wearable app on your phone
   • This can be found in the Samsung folder if it was pre-installed. If you can’t find it in the Samsung folder, you may need to tap add apps before proceeding.
   • Otherwise, you can download it from the Play Store or from the Galaxy Apps. For more information on how to download an app, please visit How do I manage my apps.
3. Tap Notifications, you may need to scroll down for this
4. Use the toggle to enable or disable the notifications
5. You can now manage which Notifications you would like to see

Connecting a Bluetooth headset

PLEASE NOTE: that the Galaxy Watch can only connect to Bluetooth headsets and will need to be made discoverable before proceeding.

To connect a Bluetooth headset, you will need to:

1. From the home screen, press the home key
2. Tap Settings
3. Tap Connections
4. Tap Bluetooth
5. Tap BT Headset
6. Your Galaxy Watch will scan for nearby Bluetooth devices
7. Tap the device you wish to connect to

Adjust the in-call volume

To adjust the call volume, you will need to tap the volume icon while you’re on a phone call.

Use the rotating bezel to adjust the call volume.
